The Hcg Drops Diet – What’s All The Buzz About?

Share

There is a tremendous amount of in the alternative market the . Millions across the world are reporting they have lost 1-2 pounds a day with no side effects through easy to use . This is a welcome option for those looking to lose weight without the use of a rigorous exercise regimen. HCG are also more comfortable and less expensive to take than the HCG programs prescribed by doctors which require daily HCG injections.

The basic summary of is this. Homeopathic HCG drops trigger the body to mobilize excess fat reserves into energy. When combined with a low 500 calorie diet, excess fat melts away as the body must rely on fat reserves for energy due to the low calorie intake. While the idea of a 500 calorie diet may seem impossible to some dieters, homeopathic HCG actually helps to suppress appetite. also allows for a large variety in food selection within the guidelines that meat be limited to lean meats such as chicken, turkey and fish and to avoid foods with high starch and sugar content.

As with any diet, the end goal of this diet is to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle long term. Once ideal weight is achieved, dieters simply increase calorie intake sticking to the same basic principles of the diet; portion control, low fat, low starch and sugar. Moderate exercise is of course beneficial but not required to maintain ideal weight.

There are numerous publications on this subject including Kevin Trudeau’s book “The Weight Loss Cure”. Trudeau provides a great in depth understanding of the but does not go into detail about sources for purchasing HCG products. A great source for homeopathic HCG drops at affordable prices is http://www.myhcgdropsdiet.com.

Hcg Diet Drops Questions Answered

Jenny asks…

Anyone doing the HCG and having success?

I would like to here from anyone actually doing these or who has tried them.

answers:

It is the I have ever been on. The first 2 days you get to eat whatever you want. I ate pizza, ice cream, burgers, fries etc. I went totally nuts. Then after the first 2 days I started doing the VCLD (very low calorie) diet. After the first day of the VCLD I lost 3.2 pounds, then second day was 2.2 pounds, then it started slowing down a little bit. After 24 days of being on the diet I lost a total of 16 pounds. It has been almost 3 months since I ended the diet and I have only gained 1 pound (I weighed this morning) which is crazy because I eat whatever I want. I got my drops from prohcgdiet.com. I highly recommend you do it because it works so well. GOOD LUCK!

Linda asks…

What happens if you do the (drops) correctly.. but you dont eat the vegetables?

@ Kaily Cost for your information im not lazy and I dont eat mcdonalds, My friend has done the diet she lost 50 pounds and that was 1 year ago and shes still 50 pounds less so you know what? keep your opinions to yourself, you dont know me

:

The same as would happen if you didn’t take hcg drops.
There is no medical proof that HCG aids .

“There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a . The FDA has required all marketing and advertising of HCG to state the following: “HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or ‘normal’ distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.”

Scientists have actually investigated this “miracle cure for obesity.”

Not only is the diet no more effective than calorie restriction alone, the HCG also doesn’t affect hunger or other more subjective factors of dieting.

Even experts in the supplement industry say the products aren’t legal and don’t work. Andrew Shao of the Council for Responsible Nutrition, an industry group, says HCG is “not considered a and therefore cannot be sold as a dietary supplement. I am not aware of any scientific evidence that supports its use when taken orally.”

Because HCG is a peptide hormone, it would be broken down by the stomach and rendered ineffective,

Joseph asks…

My mom is taking the HCG diet drops?

My mom is taking the HCG diet drops, and i am going to take them too. The only problem is that i am a vegetarian. The diet requires you to eat lean meat everyday mostly. I was wondering if soy meat can serve just as well? If so where can i buy lean meat, such as chicken and beef. 100% vegetarian!
And please no negative comments the diet. And if you have done the diet what were your results? Did it work? how much did you lose? did you gain it all back? No negatives please!
thanks!
10 points for best answer.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I bought Yipiz HCG and the diet worked great for me. After i quit the diet I did gain a few pounds but that might have been due to thanksgiving lol.Yipiz gave me access to recipes for the HCG diet and some of them had no meat. I would recommend contacting Yipiz since they are the only ones I know that gives hcg recipes that don’t contain meat and I am sure they could answer your question the best.

Best of luck in losing weight!!! You’ll do great!

Sandra asks…

I’m thinking of going on the . Is it safe?

I mentioned to a friend of mine that I was going to do the hcg drops diet and she told me that I shouldn’t. She said that she knew someone who fainted at work because of the diet and how you only eat 500 calories a da. I already don’t eat very much food during the day so I don’t think that would be a problem for me. I just wanted to know if other people have had good results with the diet.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I’m on that diet RIGHT NOW. I’m going to take my third shot today. I’ve lost 2 lbs in 2 days 3 total so far! It’s fast but you have to make sure you know what to eat. If you eat something that has 110 calories but it’s small, you only have 400 or so to work with for the rest of the day. Could you use me as a refferal? Lol. I does work and I believe it’s healthy. The HCG shots are putting calories into your body. It’s just not calories from unhealthy foods. So lowering to 550 a day isn’t bad. You just think it is. Plus, the B12 they put in the first and last shot of the week is amazing. Gave me crazy ammounts of enery. My name is Heather Holmes :) Please use me as a refferal if you can?

John asks…

instructions for hcg diet drops?

i want to know what the instructions are for taking the hcg diet drops supplement?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Throw them in the trash is the best instructions.
The diet protocol is unsafe and the drops don’t contain any real hcg anyway.

It’s a Fine Line

Share

The is a delicate arrangement of glands and endocrine related organs that happens to be one of the body’s primary systems for communicating, coordinating, and controlling its balance and function. It does this through the production of hormones which are chemical messengers released by cells and organs.

These chemicals interact with our body encouraging regulation, inhibition, induction, suppression, preparation, stimulation, and activation to various areas of the body. When we have healthy levels to work with, we naturally experience energy, clarity, an efficient metabolism, regular cycles, life transitions with ease, and good health. When things become impaired, we find ourselves facing lethargy, weight gain or loss, reproductive issues, mood swings, appetite issues, sickness and disease, growth disorders as well as thyroid and pituitary disorders. Unfortunately, nearly eight million people live with conditions that fall into one of these categories; yet are unaware they even have some type of hormonal imbalance. They simply dismiss it as ‘just stress.’ What’s worse is the reaction one gets when suggesting the possibility of imbalances; “how dare ‘you’……!!!!”

The endocrine system is a system of . For each hormone, there is a counter chemical to keep the body regulated. When we have too much of one and not enough of the other to offset it, our system becomes over or underactive. A system that is operating efficiently does not go through such experiences.

All disorders and health concerns are multidimensional issues due to the fact we are multidimensional beings. In other words, there are many factors contributing to our imbalances giving rise to the need to treat them holistically. This takes complimenting good nutrition, exercise, and spiritual practice with other modalities that assist the body with resetting itself. Is there ever a need to take prescription hormones? In some instances, ‘yes,’ however, a vitally close relationship with the body that honors its needs is necessary in order to avoid overuse.

Since most hormones initiate a cellular response by connecting with , aromatherapy is also a wonderful adjunct to this natural balancing act. Phytohormones bind with our body’s intracellular receptors just like the ones produced in our body activating cell . A list of suggested to use along with other practices includes: lavender, marjoram, cypress, chamomile, geranium, sandalwood and myrrh. These can be used individually or in a blend, using no more than 3 oils at a time. Two rules of thumb to keep in mind: choose oils that appeal to you AND less is more. Also, be sure to dilute your oil in a carrier and use only a couple twice a day. If desired results aren’t achieved within fourteen days, spend time discussing your symptoms with a professional.

All in all, feeling good is our given right; yet, it takes knowing what the body’s needs to assure quality health. The most effective way to walk this fine line is through mindfulness and poise. The more we allow life to ebb and flow without resistance, the better equipped we are to holistically strengthen our body and live a life of balance.

Aloe Vera Benefits Questions Answered

Share

Joseph asks…

What are the health benefits of Aloe Vera?

If aloe vera is really a cure for diabetes, would you try?

:

The Health Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera gel is often thought as having one specific function: cooling and helping to heal sunburns. In fact, Aloe is an amazing plant with a wide ability to aid in the healing process, to protect, moisturize, and even extend life. It was used in ancient times for medicinal purposes, and its relevancy has not diminished today. Aloe’s usefulness continues to grow as scientists study its properties and possible applications.

Aloe Vera is a cellular regenerator and has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effects. These properties alone contribute to Aloe’s place as one of nature’s healthiest products. WorldwideHealth.com’s Health Library lists magnesium lactate, an itch inhibitor, in the minerals contained in the plant. Therefore, in bringing relief to insect bites, acne, sunburns, rashes, and other topical conditions, Aloe makes sense.

But what the less frequent uses of Aloe? Should Aloe be considered as an addition to and lifestyle? Aloe can purportedly do so much more than soothe irritated skin. Taken internally, it can be used as a laxative and to destroy certain bacteria or parasites in the intestines. Unsubstantiated claims include that it can help heal ulcers and settle a queasy stomach. There are a dozen uses for Aloe that have been integrated into modern alternative medicine, and scientists have been able to study some of these claims.

Dr. Timothy E. Moore’s research on Aloe and dental health at the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) describes gel from the plant as having the ability to heal, control the accumulation of fluids, and reduce pain. He has also found that in denture patients, aloe can reduce inflammation and discomfort caused by fungi and bacteria. Other uses include post periodontal surgery and on cracks and lesions found inside and outside the mouth.

In a study performed by the Department of Physiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, lab rats were given a 10% greater life span by ingesting Aloe. The animals showed lowered occurrences of various diseases including arterial thrombosis and leukemia. In addition, no adverse side effects were found in the rats on a diet that included Aloe.

While anyone considering alternative medicine to treat conditions should consult their physician first, Aloe may be a viable remedy for various ailments. Through observation and further tests, scientists have proven that the healing effects of Aloe extend beyond merely soothing sunburn. Future studies should bring credibility to other claims of Aloe’s diverse medical benefits.

Sandy asks…

What are the benefits of aloe Vera gel over just using the leaf?

After getting a sunburn I was curious as to whether a manufactured aloe Vera gel is better than cutting open an aloe Vera leaf and using just that.

answers:

It has sothering effect over skin and reduce dia skin pores along with their cleaning.leaf gel is natural may be have some infectious/allergent material, while manufactured is sterlized one.these leaves may bbe eaten after cooking.

Hcg Diet Protocol Questions Answered

Share

William asks…

Why am I gaining weight on the HCG (in Phase 2)?

I’ve successfully lost 29 lbs on phase 2 (40 day protocol) of the HCG diet and weighed myself last night only to find that i gained 1.8 lbs! This morning, I gained another 2 pounds! didn’t cheat at all and my period isn’t due for another week. Has anyone experienced weight gain a week before their period was due? That’s the only thing I could think of that could cause me to gain almost 2 pounds. This is very discouraging. I do the injections and I’ve been very strict what I eat, not straying from the plan. Will not drinking enough water cause you to gain? I used a clean and clear mask on my face and also use Aveeno products. Has anyone experienced this or can offer help???

answers:

Its been 3 days now so you have prob gotten through your plateau. One thing that kills people is salt, it makes you retain a lot of water which can throw you off. Don’t worry about the small spikes, if you stay on the plan it is 100% water weight you are gaining, stick it out and you will be in for some BIG loss days after you shed the water. Keep Going!

Ruth asks…

Questions….Women may have answers?

I’m starting my 3rd week on the HCG Protocol. I called the company where I get my sublingual from and they said do not take the on your period. So I stopped when my period arrived, but my period has been way longer this time, longer than it ever is. I usually have it for 3-4 days and this has lasted a week now. Do I need to start taking the again? I know they say when you menstruate you should stop taking the due to immunity. But since my period has gone on so long, should I start the to get them back into my system? I have had a stall during my period, this past week I’ve only lost 3lbs, which is really frustrating. I am on the pill, would that have anything to do with it?? I’m kinda freaked out that it’s lasted this long!!

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

:

Morgan, if you are taking , there is no reason for you to stop taking them while you are on your period. You should continue your drops right away.

Having a stall in losses during your period is normal. Frustrating, yes…but, nothing to be concerned with, the losses WILL continue.

It is also quite normal for you period to be a bit irregular while taking HCG. Again, this is nothing to be concerned with.

Continue taking your drops and following VLCD. Your losses will continue.

Laura asks…

500 calorie diet VS. HCG?

OK I am on the HCG 500 calorie diet and I love it. BUT I want to know why its unhealthy to only eat 500 calories YET on the HCG protocol its ok. IDK I am one week in and I have lost about 9 pounds. Now I am only 5 feet tall and well over 200lb. I have droped weight on other diets but always gain it back and more but with this I have really gotten motovated and I want this. But why do i hear negativity about the 500 yet the HCG is HUGE

Chloe Adisson answers:

A 500 calorie diet is dangerous because your body needs more than 500 calories to maintain itself for normal functions.

If you are a sedentary woman who weighs 200 lbs, then to maintain that weight you would need about 2400 calories a day. To lose weight safely you should eat less calories than that, but according to “Lose It For Life,” by Stephen Arterburn, M.Ed., and Dr. Linda Mintle, “you should NEVER go below 1,500 calories per day unless under the supervision of a doctor.”

Losing so much weight so quickly can actually hurt your body. I don’t know the difference between the two diets you mentioned, but you shouldn’t have to hurt your body to lose weight, and the safest way to lose weight is to do so slowly. Because you aren’t very tall and do weigh over 200 lbs, you will probably lose weight faster than someone like me, who is 6 inches taller and closer to 30 lbs overweight, because proportionally you have more to lose. That’s not my way of bragging, I’m just letting you know that you will probably lose weight pretty quickly at first on a healthy diet that your doctor approves. This will probably slow down after a while, and you’ll certainly need to add physical activity to the mix.

Sandy asks…

HCG makeup questions…?

Yes…I know I ask a million questions. I was wondering if anyone knows if L’oreal Voluminous Original mascara is ok on the hcg diet protocol. If not does anyone know of a mascara that IS ok. I would like to be able to get it at a store rather than ordering online. What about Nail Polish? Also, if a product says “oil free” does that mean it’s ok to use…or are there additional ingredients that I need to look for in it? Thanks, everybody, for your input. I really appreciate it!!

Chloe Adisson answers:

I looked up the ingredients in that mascara for you (link in sources) and there doesn’t appear to be anything in them that would potentially interfere with your HCG diet.

When looking at personal care products, starting with “oil free” products is a good start – but you need to go a bit deeper than that and actually look at the ingredients in the product. You want to avoid products with any type of oil/fat/lard in them as well as the following ingredients:

sorbitol, lanolin, petroleum jelly, propelyne glycol, petrolatum, and sodium lauryl sulfate.

To help you find personal care products, I’ve also put a link to a handy PDF that has several VLCD safe options for you.

Best of luck in your journey!

Betty asks…

Question about the HCG diet?

If you know what the protocol is all about, I am wondering why a person (after say, eating 200 calories worth of “cheat” or “bad” food)would gain 2 lbs.

If the plan is to eat 500 calories, and because the hcg DOESNT screw up your metabolism……….

how the heck could you gain just from 700 calories!? That’s still undereating! I’m so confused.

Please help if you know about the HCG diet.

I’m not following it, im just researching it.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Maybe the food that person ate was salty or sugary – both retain water in the tissues.

Forget HCG…
“500-calories per day is severely restrictive! In fact, it is not enough calories to support normal brain function. Your body will compensate by using stores of glycogen, protein (muscle) and some fat, which lowers your resting metabolism. Before you can lose true weight, you will be so irritable, lightheaded, and cranky that you’ll reach for whatever food you can get your hands on and have a field day.

There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a . The FDA has required all marketing and advertising of HCG to state the following: “HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the . There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or ‘normal’ distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.”

Hcg Diet Plan Questions Answered

Share

Thomas asks…

Do you have to eat exactly what is on the hcg plan to lose weight?

Do I have to eat exactly what it says to eat? Or can I just keep my calories at 500 a day eating other stuff?

answers:

All over the counter HCG products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011
Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real HCG in them but most a synthetic derivative of the hormone.
Anyone that lost weight did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned.
The HCG acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for HCG is to increase fertility in both men and women.
The FDA will most likely allow the sell down of product and then put in a full blown ban with fines for failure to comply later in 2011. The FTC will most likely start fining companies for fraud and false advertising sooner.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
You will put all the weight back on as soon as you stop the calorie deficit. The HCG is irrelevant.

Lizzie asks…

DR. A.T.W. SIMEONS, Plan?

Just finished reading his article on the HCG diet plan and was wondering what is your opinion on it?
Is it just another fad diet plan or is it a real deal?

:

Actually i have a friend who is doing this. This is day 7 for her and she has lost 9lbs. The problem with this diet is there are a lot of fakes out there..like any other diet. You must be strict and serious this diet to lose weight. What it does is get into the deep fat tissue that has been there for years and it feeds it to your body. That’s why you only need to eat 500 calories while you are taking the protocol. Your body makes up for the rest of the calories you aren’t actually consuming. I am going to try it as soon as she emails me info on buying. You do not need a prescription. You can go to a doctor for it but it costs way more than it should…if you’d like i can email you info on it when she sends me info…email me if you want more zumbrunjacqueline17@gmail.com

Mandy asks…

what foods are allowed on the hcg diet plan?

i want to try it dont really know how to cook :(

Chloe Adisson answers:

The HCG diet is a starvation diet, and throws hormones into the mix. It’s not safe. It’s not healthy. And it has little chance for long term success.

Instead, exercise, and eat healthy.

Betty asks…

What happens if you dont follow plan for th HCG diet completely.?

Will you still loose some weight?

Chloe Adisson answers:

No, it’s the diet that leads to , HCG contributes nothing.
Stephen Barrett, a retired psychiatrist who operates quackwatch.org, says, “The bottom line is there is no reason to think the product works.”

Because HCG is a peptide hormone, it would be broken down by the stomach and rendered ineffective, he says. He says the products are mostly sold over the Internet, so it’s difficult to track sales.

Susan asks…

what is meant by hcg diet plan?

what are the advantage of taking the diet? Does is reduces the fatness?. If it reduces fatness please explain.

Chloe Adisson answers:

A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet!
All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011. Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC several months ago. They carry three brands of and not one of them has any hcg in them. The salesman in fact agreed when I mentioned it. They contain “similar hormones” or amino acids. Sort of like I’m going to sell you this Toyota Prius but it is really a Ford Focus but we’re going to put a price tag on it that says it is a Toyota Prius. Excuse me?
Anyone that lost weight especially with the did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant. Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few months ago.

The bottom line here is the exploitation of the law allowing a MD to prescribe an approved drug for a use other than what it is approved for. The FDA will step in someday.

So the question is are you willing to risk your health based on testimonials, not research, and statements from doctors profiting in this all cash business?

Hcg Diet Side Effects Questions Answered

Share

Linda asks…

Will the HCG ruins the way my body shed pounds?

I usually lose fat in my stomach and other places but not in my butt. Which I love! Usually with diets and exercise I lose fat everywhere while my butt grows… I dont know how that works, genetics I guess . Anyway , Fall semester was a though one for me and I gained a lot of weight and I want to try the HCG diet just for 30 days with healthy eating and exercise to get a push on my weight lost process. I’m worried that the hormones or whatever is in it might mess up the way my body sheds fat ( I.E stomach first, then other parts and in the most extreme case of 2 but no more than 4 inches from my butt yay.) what do you think? will HCG ruin my proportions? should I shed these pounds the old fashion way for my figure’s sake? Might 30 days of HCG mess with how my body works? what are the side effects of that diet anyways?

:

There is little evidence that the works, and if you decide to take the drop (pill) form, don’t expect it to work at all. The would not be effective as this method the bio-availability of this product is virtually zero.

Additionally, don’t expect to eat healthy on this diet. When on an HCG diet, you are told to consume a very low calorie diet of about 500 calories. This is why works. I could put you on a candy diet, and if you only consumed 500 calories, you would drop weight.

In all honesty, if you intend on doing a very low calorie diet, you are better off with an appetite suppressant than a chemical that really doesn’t work and is insanely expensive.

As far as your original question, regardless of what supplement you take, your body loses weight according to genetics and will not change.

John asks…

Have you done the HCG Diet?

So I’m thinking about doing the HCG diet. I have a few questions.
1. Have you done this diet before? & what were your results?
2. How old do you have to be to do this diet?
3. Did you feel sick or tired? Or what were the side effects of this diet?
4. I am 170 & i wanna be 150, how many days should i do this diet to lose 20 pounds?
Also, add anymore information you think i should know before starting this diet, ANYTHING will help.
Thank you a ton in advance (:

Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
I am confident the hcg diet has a 95% failure rate just like every other controversial diet plan out there.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?

So the question is are you willing to risk your health based on testimonials, not research, and the statements from doctors in this all cash business?

George asks…

Does the HCG diet really work? Is it safe?

I’m looking into trying the HCG Diet! I need feedback! Is it safe? What are they side effects? What’s the best website to purchase it? Does it really work? Please Help me figure it out. I have tried everything. I would like people who have really done it and knows what they are talking about. Thanks!

It is not an easy diet. If you’re expecting to take the HCG & magically lose your weight… You’re in for a huge surprise. You have to be militant to the diet in order to get results. You cannot cheat without dire consequences.

I just finished a 40 day round (to get the baby weight off) and lost 25lbs. My mom is on it & has lost about 30lbs in 30 days. My aunt has had great results too.

You really need to research it. Read the book Pounds & Inches. It’s the original diet. If you decide to do it, you’ll want to find a reputable company to get the HCG from. Do not get it from overseas. And I wouldn’t advise getting it from anyone advertising as an answer on here.

Ken asks…

Does the HCG hormone increase chances of becoming pregnant?

i do not wanna hear any bullshit about how the hcg diet is a scam or doesn’t work, because it is the only diet that has ever worked for me and i love it, but i am married and my husband and i are trying to get pregnant, he is getting back from deployment soon and i’ve been on the HCG diet off and on sense august, i looked up hcg side effects online and one was “increase chances of conception” and multiple pregnancy… could this be true? i’m also taking prenatal vitamins to make my hair grow, but are my chances of getting pregnant higher or significantly increased because of the hcg drops i’m taking?

Ive done the HCG diet many times over the past8 yrs,and YES !! I have gotten prego very quick…..i believe this is very true. Do you get a positive preg test when you take hcg shots?

James asks…

Has anyone completed the HCG diet?

I am curious about the diet? Did you have any side effects? Did you do the injection or the oral drops? Any information (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Not many. People can lose weight, but the loss isn’t due to either taking or injecting HCG. There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a .

Because HCG is a peptide hormone, it would be broken down by the stomach and rendered ineffective, he says.
