The HCG Diet Plan is the Answer to Weight Loss Problems

Share

Article by Official HCG

With so many people suffering from obesity in this country, the number of diet plans and supplements on the market borders on the ridiculous. It seems that hardly a week can go by without at least one new product or plan hitting the market. With this in mind, one might wonder what it is that make the any different or more effective than all of the others or why it is worth investing your money in after you have tried so many others that have failed.

Let’s start with a little of the history behind the HCG diet. During his time studying tropical diseases in India from 1931 to 1949, Dr. Simeons was also studying the effects of malnutrition on expectant mothers. At the same time he was conducting a study on of the pituitary gland and patients suffering from obesity. This study led him the conclusion that those who suffered from a disorder of certain regulatory systems in the human body would become obese no matter how they ate.

In Dr. Simeons’ treatment of his obese patients, he found that by giving them a low dose of HCG or Hormone Chorionic Gonadotropin their body would began to utilize their extra body fat instead of their lean muscle tissues as long as they were also fed a carefully prepared calorie restricted diet. This hormone is produced by the fetus in a pregnant mother and is present in the mother’s urine.

Over time it has been found that HCG is required to regulate the hypothalamus gland which in turn is what controls our metabolism and whether or not we are fat or skinny. The problem is that when we are young our bodies have plenty of these hormones, but by the time we reach adulthood the supply is depleted. With the HCG you will be taking HCG drops as a supplement to replace what your body is missing and to force the hypothalamus to use up the fat that has been stored in your body when you reduce the amount of calories you are taking in.

The HCG diet is a three phase program; the phases are loading, maintenance and stabilization. Most people love the loading phase even though it only lasts 2 days. You start your day off with 10 HCG drops under your tongue three times each day, leaving them there for 15 minutes. You then get to gorge yourself on all of your favorite foods, eat anything and everything you want as long as you drink as much as half to a full gallon of water.

In the next phase you will be cutting your calorie intake to a very strict 500 calorie diet and the same 10 HCG drops under your tongue three times per day. You will continue to do this until you reach your weight goal. At which point you will be able to move on the third and final phase. Here you will be wrapping up your 500 calorie diet and ending your use of HCG drops. You will need to be on the drops for at least 21 days in order for them to completely reset your hypothalamus.

The maximum time frame that you will be taking the HCG drops is no more than 45 days, after which you will be able to take four week off from your 500 calorie diet and eat normally while avoiding starches and refined sugars. You can then use the diet as needed to maintain your weight. Average weight loss is going to vary from one person to another but is usually in the neighborhood of 40kg or 90 pounds. This is considered by many to be the perfect diet plan for the obese person as it is designed to restore the hypothalamus and the body’s ability to burn off the extra fat that is causing the person’s obesity. During the diet after day two you will only be taking in 500 calories, but your body will be using up 2,000 and shedding the excess weight as the HCG hormone triggers the metabolism.

If you are tired of struggling with your weight and wasting your time and money on worthless diet plans, the Official HCG Diet Plan by Dr. Simeons may be the to your dreams. This diet plan has helped thousands shed their excess weight and keep it off so that they can lead a happy, healthy life.

Aesthetic Surgery Questions Answered

Share

Nancy asks…

Orthognathic surgery – considering but will they do as well?

18 years old. I had braces for over 6 years and got them off a couple of weeks ago. I’ve seen several orthognathic surgeons and they all recommend surgery to correct my jaw line and overall appearance. Dentist and orthodontist also have suggested it.

My insurance hasn’t responded to my claim, and the surgeon gave me a ball park quote of 25-30k with jaw surgery and chin implant.

I’ve been told teaching hospitals are considerably cheaper. Soneone told me a surgery can run as low as 15k with hospital and recovery treatment. However, can they also do a chin implant (a.k.a, genioplasty)? This is partially for aesthetic reasons but also encouraged by my doctors who say it would pair well with jaw surgery and be a facial improvement. Plus, it would save me the hassle of doing another surgery in the event that I would likely want the implant.

So, I live near UCLA. I’m been trying to call but their phones are quite busy. Do you know if they or other California-based teaching hospitals do orthognathic surgery that includes chin implants? Technically, orthognathic surgery is usually considered cosmetic treatment.

This is extremely important to me. I cannot wait 10+ years to save. I’m literally willing to put myself through debt to get this surgery.

Chloe Adisson answers:

All the oral that I am semi-familiar with would do a chin implant/surgery. Technically speaking, it is likely an easier procedure than orthognathic surgery…

Chris asks…

Comparing braces to ?

How do you feel about ppl who disapprove of others getting plastic surgery, but have worn cosmetic braces themselves (done purely for aesthetic purposes, not health )? Why is it that they can criticize that, but do not feel guilty that they, too, have permanently altered the way they look, only in a different form?

How do you compare the two?
Ok guys, let’s focus primarily on it’s cosmetic purposes. Throwing in oral health concerns is valid, but getting a nose job to breath better is too. I’m not asking you to justify getting braces. I’m asking you if you think ppl are being hypocrites by hating on others, but excusing themselves?

Chloe Adisson answers:

My brother and I had braces, but out of TOTAL necessity.
They’re a pain in the butt, but I see nothing wrong with people who will put in the effort to brighten up the way they look, as teeth and smiles are one of the most impacting factors of a first impression.
Personally, I feel like the two can’t be compared, really, becaues, as I said, braces are a lot of effort, and it’s not really as unnatural as cutting things out and putting stuff in. I mean, we already have the teeth, but who ever heard of someone being born with silicone inside of them?
Still, I should point out that I am not against plastic surgery, up to a point. I think that it’s perfectly fine to correct things here and there, I just don’t think that we really need the Pamela Andersons of the world… I don’t want to sound bitchy, but there’s just something about that exaggerated stuff that creeps me out.
Of course, I feel the exact same about people who get their teeth filed down and such. If you were to get cosmetic dental surgery and then , I’d definitely have something snarky to say about it!

Steven asks…

Question about jaw surgery?

http://www.mayoclinic.org/sleep-apnea/osa-jaw-surgery.html

I’ve been thinking about having this type of surgery done. My lower jaw is slightly underdeveloped. I’m sure having surgery will help me breathe better, but I’m more interested in the aesthetic aspect of it. I hate how my jawline and chin look. My chin has a great shape, it’s just pushed back a little bit. Anyway, what is the recovery process like? Would my jaw have to be wired-shut or could the surgeons just temporatily attach everything together using plates until the bones regrow back together? This is a serious question, so I’d appreciate real answers to this. Thanks

Chloe Adisson answers:

A couple of issues:
1: Have you had a sleep study? It is very important to know your AHI. This will classify the severity of your OSA (obstructive sleep apnea).
2: The sleep study will be able to determine the type of OSA you have and rule out Centrally Mediated Sleep Apnea. If you are an adult, the Centrally Mediated is unlikely, but possible.
3: Try other options to treat your OSA. Surgery is always an option but should be considered if other treatments fail.
4: Recovery process is like most other surgeries, post-op discomfort, swelling, etc.
5: If, and some surgeons don’t, your jaw is wired it will be for a short time.
6: The surgeon will typically use some hardware to hold your jaw/chin in it’s new position. This hardware will be left for life (normally).
7: Please consult a Pulmonary/Sleep specialist, ask for referral to an Oral Surgeon/ENT surgeon and also consult with an Orthodontist concerning your tooth position post-op.

Hope this helps. I’ll check back later.

Sandy asks…

Jaw surgery?

I have a friend who is going in for jaw surgery. Basically, her upper lip is a bit shorter than most people, and the entire operation is for aesthetic purposes.

She is basically afraid of it and wondering what to expect. The doctor apparently said that he’d shift her jaw from the inside such that the chin comes out a little [her chin is normal looking without surgery as well] and the lip lowers a bit.

One of her main questions is, how long will her mouth be snapped shut by wires or what not. And also, she’s concerned about the pain or anything.

I think the main issue here for her, is whether or not the surgery is worth it. It is supposed to make her look better, but she doesn’t know if it’s worth it.

Chloe Adisson answers:

If your friend doesnt have any problems with speech, breathing, pain or chewing right now, she should reconsider going in for jaw surgery, because the surgery is pretty major for just aesthetic purposes-unless her doctor believes she will have problems with her jaw in the future.
In my case, my lower jaw protruded and was misaligned. I had chewing problems and some pain in my lower jaw before surgery.
When I got jaw surgery done, my mouth was shut by rubberbands all around my teeth for one and a half weeks. It depends on the doctor and how major the surgery is, but during that time, your friend cannot chew and is on a liquid . (may lose some ) She also cannot talk.
I didnt experience any pain after my surgery. I felt a little uncomfortable and had discomfort without pain medication, but no pain. You wont really see clear results up to months after the surgery because of swelling around the jaw, but every person is different, and her doctor may give her a type of steroid to decrease the swelling. Your friend will need someone to take care of her for a couple weeks 24/7. Eating and writing to communicate are inconvenient, but she’ll get used to it. The recovery process is pretty bothersome but her doctor and her nurse should explain the process thoroughly before surgery.
Also, risks of surgery may be numbness around her chin and her upper lip. It may last for months, but it also may be permanent.
She should take all these factors into consideration for her surgery, but personally, I believe it was all worth it with my jaw problems and also aesthetically. It may seem scary and a lot to take in, but as long as she has a good support system, and her doctors and nurses, she should be fine!
For information, check out this website : http://www.zip-n-squeeze.com/recovery.html
It is extremely helpful, and it has information about orthoganic surgery, the process, recovery, care, and recipes!
Hope this helps and good luck to your friend :]

Paul asks…

How much can cosmetic surgery change your Aesthetics?

On a man this is.I want to start off by saying I’m asking because I’m curios not because of potential uptake (I’m 14).

Obviously there is so much about your appearance that can be changed from Chin and Jaw Augmentation,Rhinoplasty,Lipo suction etc;.

but have we reached a point in cosmetic science where the perfect face and body can be made under the knife?.

It will be interesting to see the answers!…see, not all teenagers use this site to cheat on their homework lol.
I don’t see how it is anything else other than a Science myself…

Chloe Adisson answers:

Cosmetics cannot, in my view, be viewed as a science. It is more akin the a highly specific and skilled trade.

That such procedures can alter appearance is obvious but the question is does the change always lead an “improvement”?

When cosmetic procedures yield the desired result (not always the case) AND when occurs without any tissue distortion (definitely not always the case), the results are usually pleasing.

When healing does not go as planned/desired, the outcome can be quite garrish with distorion of features, formation of thick unsightly scars, infections.

I would suggest NOT considering such surgery as guaranteed to yield good results. It has a chance of failure and this needs always to be kept in mind – the final product could be worse than it was at the outset.

Hcg Diet Drops Questions Answered

Share

James asks…

What kind of lotion can i use while taking the hcg drops.?

I know it has be a certain kind but I need names cuz I can’t seem to find any that fit the description

:

HCG was banned by the FDA last month as a fraudulent product for .
It doesn’t matter which brand, they are all out there just to take your money so it doesn’t matter which lotion you use.

Steven asks…

hCG diet drops, questions about losing weight?

Ok, i’m 18, 5′ 6″ and I weigh 180, I’m wanting to lose 40lbs.. If i take the hcg drops do the 500 calorie diet, and i’m lifting weights and walking. How much weight will I be able to lose in the first week??

Has anyone had success with doing the drops?

Chloe Adisson answers:

According to the “protocol” for this diet you are supposed to do minimal exercise with such a low caloric intake.
A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet!
All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011. Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC two weks ago. They carry three brands of hcg drops and not one of them has any hcg in them. The well trained salesman even admitted it when I mentioned it. They contained “similar hormones” or amino acids.
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant.
Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight. I am confident the hcg diet has a 95% failure rate just like every other controversial out there.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few months ago.

So the question is are you willing to risk your health with an extreme diet treatment based on testimonial evidence as opposed to clinical research evidence, and the statements from doctors in this all cash business?

David asks…

What would happen if you drank soda or milk with the hcg diet drops?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Why are you drinking soda if you are diabetic?
Please throw the bogus HCG drops out thank you.

Joseph asks…

What lotion is it ok to use while using the hcg diet drops?

My sister said lotion wasn’t even necessary but I have really dry skin I need the name of any lotion that I can use

Chloe Adisson answers:

I’m doing the HCG diet right now following the 21 Day program from http://prohcgdiet.com As per the instruction I got, you can use lotion and make up during the HCG protocol. With all of your personal care and beauty products, you need to check the ingredients and avoid any products the contain food oils. Most solid deodorants contain castor oil, which is not allowed…. Currently I am using Pantene products for the hair. I changed my lotion to Neutrgena oil free face lotion but use this for hand and body lotion as well. I changed my soap to liquid Zest. I did not change my shave gel either. No issues that I can see and I get all products at Wal-Mart.

Donald asks…

HCG diet drops. Is there a difference in strength cause on ebay theres lots of different prices?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Better no to waste your money.
“500-calories per day is severely restrictive! In fact, it is not enough calories to support normal function. Your body will compensate by using stores of glycogen, protein (muscle) and some fat, which lowers your resting metabolism. Before you can lose true weight, you will be so irritable, lightheaded, and cranky that you’ll reach for whatever food you can get your hands on and have a field day.

There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a weight loss strategy. The FDA has required all marketing and advertising of HCG to state the following: “HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or ‘normal’ distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.”

John asks…

Does the HCG diet actually work? Is it safe?

I’ve been reading a lot about the HCG diet and there are mixed reviews. I just wanted to hear what people who may be taking it now have to say about it. I really want to try it, but I’m scared.
I have about 60 pounds I want to lose.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I lost 16 pounds in 24 days with the Hcg diet I bought form prohcgdiet.com The Hcg deit in general starts out with 2 days of “loading” which means you can eat anything you want and as much as you want! I did burgers, pizza, ice cream, fried chicken and more. Talk about feeling guilty!

Anyway, on day 3 I started the VCLD (very low calorie diet). On day 4 I woke up to a 3lb loss and then the next day it was almost 2 pounds! When you are dropping weight like that it real easy to stay motivated. I cheated some and still had great weight loss results. I have tried a lot of different diets and this one was actually pretty easy and most of all, FAST! Good Luck!

James asks…

How effective is the HCG drops diet?

I’m wanting to gather a good amount of information about the “HCG drops” diet, but I only want to hear from those who have actually tried it.
What are the pros and cons? Was it effective (did it work or not work for you? and how so?)
What is the MAIN PURPOSE for this diet ?
Any information, reviews, advice, etc. is greatly appreciated. :)

Chloe Adisson answers:

HCG is an acronym for the hormone Human Chorio Gonadotropin, which is
found in both men and women, though pregnant women have the highest
levels of HCG in their bodies.
The HCG hormone can be made synthetically or extracted from a
pregnant woman’s urine and then processed for use by other humans.
Advocates of the HCG diet believe that, by strict dieting
and taking daily injections of HCG, people can successfully lose
weight. They say that dieters following the HCG
diet should expect to lose somewhere between a half pound and 3 pounds
(.23 to 1.36 kilograms) each day on the low-calorie, high-fiber .
You consume a mere 500 calories a day on this diet.
They say that that combining the
low-calorie diet with the HCG hormone injections will lead to
immediate weight loss without the common side effects of many
diets, such as hunger pains, headaches and nausea. They
believe that because the HCG injections burn fat, the hormone provides
the body with necessary energy while reducing hunger and keeping the
body out of starvation mode.
Anybody eating that little is bound to lose weight, of course, and
many people found out that injection did not make it easier to bear
hunger.
And the drug lacks substantial research, so exposing your body to such
a restrictive diet may not be in your best interests.
The original is quite restrictive and particular. For
breakfast, you can have only tea or coffee without sugar. The diet
puts a one-tablespoon limit on how much milk you can consume each day,
so if you require milk with your coffee and tea, you’ll want to keep
this in mind. For lunch and dinner, you can cook 100 grams (.22
pounds) of lean meat or seafood and pair it with one vegetable from
this list of 13: asparagus, beet greens, cabbage, celery, chard,
chicory, cucumbers, fennel, green salad, onions, red radishes, spinach
and tomatoes. For lunch and dinner, you can eat one toast cracker and
an orange, apple, half a grapefruit or strawberries.
Administration of the hormone is usually through two methods — either an oral
supplement or a liquid injection.
The FDA has approved HCG injections for use in fertility issues, but not in dieting.
There are a few dangers that come with injecting HCG into your body.
As with any injected medication, the potential for blood clots exists. Some women
who have injected HCG have experienced a serious condition called
ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), which can be deadly.
Other less serious side effects might be headaches and
depression. Young boys taking HCG might experience premature puberty.
Pregnant or nursing women could cause harm to their
babies if the hormone is passed on.
And although advocates claim that HCG keeps the body functioning
properly, a diet of 500 calories is below any healthy amount
recommended by most doctors. Weight loss is almost guaranteed when
you’re eating so much less than the recommended daily allowance, but
you may risk your health. And although the HCG is supposed to help
with side effects, in one study the HCG injections showed no different
feelings or results than a placebo injection.

Susan asks…

Whats up with the HCG diet?

So… I made a status of mine on facebook stating that I wanted to lose weight & that I was in search of some diet/exercise partners to follow a 6wk plan with me.

I received a comment from my cousin (that I hardly ever talk to or see) & she began to tell me that her & a friend of hers is doing a 6wk program themselves and she called it the HCG Organic diet.

Now never before this have I ever even heard of this diet until she told me.

She told me that she has done this diet before & lost 40lbs in 6wks.

After searching this diet & reading reviews on it I must say that I am still a skeptic.

The diet consist of HCG injections or taking drops daily in addition to a 500 calorie a day organic diet & you don’t have to exercise.

For the record… HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropins: The major hormone secreted by the placenta. In the early stages of pregnancy.

As I have told her… It sounds like a starvation diet to me & I am very awear of the starvation diet & the consequences because I’ve did this diet for 15 days before & I lost 25lbs in that short amount of time then after the 15 days I began to slowly introduce foods back to my body but the end result was that my tummy seemed to be the place on me where it began to store fat for it didn’t know if it would ever be starved again.

I ended up gaining all of that weight back plus more.

I explained this to my cousin & she stated & I quote… After you complete the 6 weeks you continue to eat the organic foods for another 6 weeks and you slowly introduce other foods back into your diet. If you jump back into eating regular foods after the 6 weeks of course you will gain the weight back. You are (in simple form) resetting your metabolism in the 2nd six weeks to keep the weight off.

So I said to her… So is the diet actually a 12wk program? Tell me cuz? Are you hungry on this diet? Do you get dizzy? & why do a diet that would make you have to reset your metabolism afterwards just as you would need to do after a starvation diet? Im sorry but it’s pretty much sounding like a starvation diet to me except you get 500 calories more than you actually would on a starvation diet. Why not just do a organic diet, not combining it with the HCG injections that you are doing because there is no scientific evidence that the HCG even helps with the weight loss process & instead just exercise?

She says… When you eat a low calorie diet without the hcg you lose structural fat instead of the abnormal fat and your body needs the structural fat.

Yet I read a review that stated that this is not true & although this person did lose an excessive amount of weight he also lost muscle. & in his exact words he says… In my opinion, the HCG Diet is just like any other starvation diet out there today, as far as end results. Only 59% of my weight loss was actual fat. Included in that fat loss was a drop in my visceral fat– this is needed structural fat, the kind that HCG is supposed to prevent. I am here to tell you that it most certainly DID NOT protect me from losing vital fat. And it certainly didn’t protect me from losing vital muscle.

Also I read where some of the sellers are not selling you exactly what you think you are buying. The HCG is not cheap & you could be getting scammed. Wouldn’t it upset you if you found out after you spent hundreds of dollars that it really wasn’t HCG in the bottle & it was something else like maybe saline???

So of course I’d love to lose 40lbs in 6wks but I am asking all that has done this diet & it has been well over 12wks since to give me your review on it because as I said I am still skeptical???

Chloe Adisson answers:

“Krazg,” unless her body fat is less than 10 percent, she’s no where NEAR risk of starvation. Ignorance <3
