IBS Relief

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, otherwise known as IBS, has an unknown cause. Although stress, poor diet, and abnormal muscle spasms in the colon aggravate the condition all that is known is that the muscles in the intestines and colon spasm irregularly and cause abdominal cramp, bloating, nausea, and indigestion.

Diet
Since there are certain types of foods that are a major factor in the cause of IBS, these foods should be avoided. The following types foods includes foods that are high in fat, dairy, citrus, chocolate, red meats, alchohol and wheat.

To cope with stress, seeking alternative treatments might be the answer rather than taking prescribed medicine that can cause their own set of uncomfortable side effects. Bavolex is an all natural treatment that works to calm the nervous system and ease stress. By easing the effect that stress has on the body, irritable bowel syndrome can be controlled and serious attacks of abdominal pain, severe constipation, or sudden diarrhea can be averted. Bavolex’s herbal and plant extracts calm the muscles that contract in the intestines. Bavolex contains papain, bromelain, pancreatic enzymes to aid in more efficient digestion of food.

The causes are believed to be nuerological in nature. The problem begins when your brain fires signals to your intestine which causes food to be moved too quickly or too slowly. This hurts the normal digestive process that
you have. IBS is often associated with stress, anxiety and sleep disorders. These attacks may be triggered by stress on the job when you cannot meet deadlines or your boss is always finding fault with your work. Stressful events like the death of someone close or losing a job suddenly will cause this illness.

While spastic colon is often used interchangeably with IBS, the two are not always identical. Spastic colon can sometimes be caused by a virus or the use of antibiotics. If this is the case, the condition is typically resolved within a matter of months. IBS-related spastic colon, however, tends to be long-term and requires some form of treatment and lifestyle changes to alleviate the pain and discomfort.

IBS is not generally considered to be a life threatening disease and is one that can be treated quite successfully when properly diagnosed. It has been shown when treatments are specifically tailored to the specific form of IBS the IBS symptoms can normally be resolved. A specific diagnosis of the disease, therefore, is the most important factor in helping a patient cope with IBS and its symptoms.

Spider Leg Veins

Varicose and spider veins are common medical complaints that result when blood flow from outlying parts of the body back to the heart becomes compromised. Veins in the leg are the most commonly affected, particularly on the back of the calf. These veins contain a series of leaflet valves that allow only upward blood movement. Transport of blood up the leg to the heart proceeds via ladder-like steps through this series of valves. Varicose and spider veins result when vein walls develop poor tone, causing valve malfunction. Blood then stalls out on its upward journey and may even move down the leg. Valve malfunction in smaller vessels produces spider veins. In larger ones, varicose veins result. The characteristic color of varicose and spider veins, observable only for veins near the surface, derives from the bluish-red tint of oxygen-depleted venous blood.

While there are no medical treatments to prevent the causes of spider veins there are a number effective ways to get rid of them. There are laser techniques and injections that are effective but can be very costly and require follow up treatments. More and more people are turning to alternative medicine and experimenting with natural techniques and medicines to combat the causes of spider veins.

Some holistic doctors suggest increasing your intake of bioflavenoids, an ingredient found just below the surface of most citrus fruits such as oranges and grapefruits. Bioflavenoids strengthen capillary and vein walls which when they get weak are one of the main causes of spider veins.
Other doctors of natural healing suggest that exercises that tone the legs, such as laying on the back and raising the legs are effective. The theory behind this is that the blood drains from the spidered veins thus relieving pressure and reducing swelling. These exercises are not only good for battling spider veins but are also great for overall circulation.

A healthy diet is another way to naturally treat spider leg veins. Foods that are high in cholesterol can clog veins causing a greater restriction in blood flow. Diets with high ratios of fruits and vegetables supply needed vitamins, which help with spider leg veins. Vitamin K increases vein flexibility and is instrumental in healing blood-clotting issues. Other vitamins that can help cure spider leg veins are vitamins A, C, and D.

Endovenous laser treatments – EVL – treats the root cause of varicose and spider veins. It’s quick and safe with no scarring. However, there is a tingling and/or burning sensation, leg pain, and some aching and cramping to deal with. Note: those who opt to use this type of varicose vein treatment should keep in mind that they will not just fade away without proper treatment and, in some cases, aggravate over time.

Those who suffer from varicose and spider veins can now also make use of products that directly address the root cause of this painful condition. Venovil is an all-natural herbal supplement that helps your body to correct underlying vein weakness. Venovil’s powerful flavenoids and enzymes strengthen the effectiveness of the catecholamines your body naturally produces for maintaining vein wall tone and strength. Venovil also decreases activity of the endothelial adhesion molecules that promote vein inflammation and free radicals. European health care providers have been able to treat varicose and spider veins with these products for years, and now you can reap the benefits too.

Clayton College Reviews

I spent the last 3 years and hundreds of hours evaluating the Natural Healing College and multiple other degree online programs and here are my review results.

Clayton College of Natural Health

Global College of Natural Medicine or GCNM

The Natural Healing College

Clayton College ” Is a Natural Health School that offers a range of holistic courses, but they live in the stone age, and still require you to mail in your tests, which can be very frustrating, and quite time consuming because you will have to waste time waiting for them to mail your tests results back….Their Online Programs will also cost you an arm and a leg. They also do not help you land a job and have ZEO holistic internship program

Global College of Holistic Medicine ” They dont offer Bad Science because they do offer a narrow range of holistic courses, but, they too require you to mail in your tests, which can be painful and take a lot of time. Because youll be forced to wait for them to mail your Natural Healing tests results back….Their Herbal courses are quite pricy. The Global College of Natural Medicine will NOT help you get a job after graduation and have do not have an internship program

The Natural Healing College – Offer a very profound range of holistic courses, but they DO NOT force you to mail in your tests. Your tests results are instant which means you can finish your online degree faster!

To top it off The Natural Healing College Bachelors Degrees are also about ONE HALF the price of Clayton State University and the other schools of health medicine …We should also mention that, their Master Herbalist Online School is probably the best on the planet and they will also help with Internships.

Once you graduate from the Natural Healing College they will help you get into an awesome Internship program and will help you land a job or open your own practice or Career In Nutrition And Holistic health.

In my humble opinion and hundreds of hours of researchYour best choice for an Online Holistic School is the Natural Healing College. Not the Clayton College and State University. Maybe someday they will get up to speed with technology.

Feeling Great In Your Skin

Using Herbal remedies are a great way to get rid of oily skin which keeps your skin healthy and free from skin diseases. Some herbal remedies will include Jojoba oil which forms a non-greasy lipoid in the skin which results in softer skin. This is typically used to get rid of fine lines and skin roughness. It strengthens skin and massages this oil into your skin every day will help keep it hydrated and healthy.

The skin is made up of two layers: the epidermis and the dermis. Epidermis is the outer layer of the skin it protects the body from any foreign objects in the environment. The skin is at its thinnest in the eyelids and thickest on the palms and soles. The second layer is the Dermis located between the epidermis and subcutaneous tissues. Dermis is made up of collagen, elastic fibers and extra-fibrillar matrix.

When people have an overactive thyroid, hormones that are produced by the thyroid are shut down hence increasing production of sebum. The best way to prevent this is to maintain a normal secretion of the thyroid hormones. There are prescription medicines available to cure such deficiency although there are natural ways too to treat Hyperthyroidism as well. Here are some of the natural or herbal remedies available to treat such condition.

A yarrow, nettle, and buttermilk facial is an older medicinal herb used for keeping skin healthy. A combination of these three ingredients is made of a powerful astringent which helps keep skin hydrated just enough without causing dryness. In addition to these, there are many facial masks and scrubs that can be used as well. Almond and honey facial scrubs are an excellent gentle facial scrub. It gently removes dead skin cells and oils from the skin. Using a warm washcloth gently rub the paste of ground almonds and honey on the face in a circular motion. Using minimal pressure will give you the desirable results that you need using this combination of a facial cleanser.

Buckwheat, black beans and whole rice are good source of iron which helps revitalize the skin. Insufficient supply of Vitamin B2 can trigger oily skin so always add the following to your diet; whole grains, nuts, and beans which are rich in Vitamin B2.

Drink plenty of liquids to keep the skin from drying up and to help cleanse the body from toxins. Decrease the amount of oil in your food, so avoid pork, fried foods and spicy foods. Avoid at all cost all animal oils or heat processed oils.

Changing your diet is the most essential thing you can do to keep your skin healthy. Cut out all foods high in fat and oil which would include junk food, alcohol, and caffeine. Drink eight glasses of water per day, preferably drinking a half of glass of water every hour and two glasses of water or more after each meal. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetable as much as possible and most of all sleep at least eight hours a day. You will see how your skin changes and how it glows with health.
