Carol asks…

Herbal treatments..?

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever tried herbal treatments to treat failing kidneys? My sister has fsgs and she was told that her kidneys are only functioning 20% and she will need a transplant or dialysis soon.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I have FSGS and i have never taken . I asked my doctor about it once and he said do not do chinese herbs and those types of things. They are not regulated whats in them and a lot of the things in them are harmful to the kidneys. Please consult a doctor before doing anything like that.

I was almost put on the transplant list but i got better and now my kidneys are functioning normally.

I take prograf, calcium, iron, vitamin D, aspirin, enalipril, diamox, bumex, prednisone. I used to take epogen shots as well but i am not anemic anymore

keep fighting and i wish her good luck. I know what she is going through

Betty asks…

herbal treatments?

Do any of the herbal supplements work for memory, or any others for general ?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Most common are ginko biloba and Gotu Cola.

Ken asks…

Do herbal treatments of HIV actually work?

Has anyone witnessed first hand the of herbal treatments. There are a lot of claims on the internet. How can I be sure they are real?

Chloe Adisson answers:

The vast majority of herbal remedies on the internet or anywhere else are usually just outright scams, the of modern medicines is that each product has to pass extremely stringent clinical trials which can be reproduced anywhere in the world before it can be prescribed by a fully qualified doctor..

Anyone can sell herbal remedies (I’m not saying that they’re all bad or that none of them work) with no training whatsoever, the preparation, packaging and storage of herbs have no controls, they don’t go through any regulatory trials, they don’t need a licence and some of them can be positively harmful.

As for HIV, the only known is antiviral products, none of which are herbal.

Mark asks…

Can acne be cured by any herbal treatments?

Hello, I am 25 years old female and facing problems of acne. I have done lots and lots of things to make it cure but always get in that. I also tried many allopathic treatments but the major problem remained as it is and side effects also joined it. I want to ask that if acne can be cured by any herbs or any kind of herbal treatments. Please give your suggestions. This acne is really making me irritating and frustrating. My bad looks are the result of this acne. Help me out.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Oh! Don’t get upset, I think it is problem of every second girl next to you. There are many ways that can help you to cure the disease but a way that suits you and is not one of the scams to cure them should be adopted. It is better to refer to an online guide
For http://www.holisticacnetreatments.com/ acne treatment that can make you aware of the pros and cons of the different ways and provide you a better solution. This will help you to balance yourself.

All the best!!!

Sharon asks…

Can Herbal treatments by a naturopathic dr help with Hepatitis d?

My girlfriend may start taking interferon treatments and I was wondering if herbal treatments would interfere with the interferon treatments
the person i would be getting the herbs from is a naturopathic doctor, with a degree in such

Chloe Adisson answers:

First off, your girlfriend should ask the doctor that prescribed the interferons. They know what they’re talking about, and probably see lots of people with liver problems, and will be able to give a sensible answer. The doctor will have been trained in pharmacology, and will know all about how drugs interact with each other in the body. On the other hand, the herb-seller (they are not doctors) won’t have had the same training. The herbs they sell won’t have had to pass the same strict regulations that medicinal drugs do, and so effects on the body (and especially the liver, something to think about in an individual with hepatitis!) may not be fully known.

I’d say avoid the herbs altogether.

Essential Oils Healing and Their Relation With Aromatherapy Candles

Share

The stress that modern life brings us is never a piece of cake. There are too many reasons to distress us and most of all, several factors to cause us to suffer from illnesses. Modern drugs often complicate things but if what you seek is alternative that promotes natural , fitness, and wellness, then, is a good choice.

oils healing attributes have been well known all over the world and been used since the earliest times. They are also the same reasons why they have been popularly integrated into the aromatherapy .

The aromatherapy candles also make as very environmentally friendly as well as safe decors. They can be added to your existing ornaments at home. At night or whenever you feel like de-stressing, just light them up. The healing properties of these candles are produced either by the pure essential oils ingredients. Whichever is the case, the scents they exude produce distinct effects to the brain.

The oils used in aromatherapy candles are blended in proper amounts and appropriately combined with other oils. Only those who have the in-depth knowledge on how it is done should prepare the candles. When burned, the aroma aids in oxygenating the blood supply. This is done through prompting the natural minerals in the cells of the human body. The healing properties of the aromatherapy candles nevertheless help relieve physical and psychological illnesses.

The burning aromatherapy candles allow the lungs to breathe in the molecules so they are able to penetrate into the body system particularly that of the limbic system. As everyone knows, the lungs are comprised of thousands of minute passages which contain tiny hair follicles. They then send the chemical aromatherapy signals towards the brain.

Psychological healing is targeted by the aromatherapy candles. Using the sense of smell, the scent they exude can calm the nerves, stop the inflammation in the nasal passages and the lungs, induces sleepiness, kills bacteria, promotes proper intestinal functions and proper digestion, and soothe the pain being felt by the body. At some point, some aromas of other essential oils influence people to stop taking in psychotropic medications because they begin to feel better.

The essential oils healing attributes can be experienced through different means. One is by applying the essential oil into the skin by means of a massage. However, not all essential oils are safe to be directly applied onto the skin. Many of them require dilution in carrier oils. Another is by oil diffusion wherein the oil is burned for people to inhale them. Also, using a few drops of oil into a warm bath allows the body to relax and be freed of stress. The burning of aromatherapy candles is also a great way of experiencing the essential oils healing factors.

Aromatherapy candles are sold everywhere. You can choose from a variety of scents and allow yourself to personally experience healing attributes!

End Stage Renal Failure or Kidney Failure Homeopathy Treatment by Dr Harshad Raval Md Homeopathy

Share

End is a final common path way for a number of disease processes and associated with significant morbidity and mortality. In modern approach dialysis and transplant but its not rational approach but its temporary phase not complete cure end stage renal or crf. In medicine develop immunizations in neoprene and maintenance remain neoprene and filtrations his blood, After some time stop increase s.creatinin level and reduced 50% and steady further continue well experience homeopath then again rejoined neoprene.

It is very important to know the high frequency of this disease, the multiple causes, the significant morbidity and a logical clinical approach to renal failure which will help to illuminate the cause and then to proceed to a proper therapy.

A decrease in renal function is sufficient to result in retention in the body of nitrogenous waste such as blood, urea, nitrogen and creatinine. The hall mark of renal failure is progressive azotaemia caused by the accumulation of the nitrogenous end products of metabolism. This accumulation is accompanied by a wide-range of other disturbances depending on the severity and duration of the renal dysfunction. These include metabolic derangements such as metabolic acidosis and hyperkalemia, disturbances of body fluid balance and effects on many other organ systems.

Pre renal

It results from a decrease in renal blood flow. The glomerular filtration rate is reduced and the kidney retains water and salt, causing Oliguria, production of concentrated urine and a progressive inability to excrete nitrogenous wastes.

Decreased blood flow is one cause of damage to the kidney. Acute renal failure may occur when there is extremely low blood pressure the patient may suffer from trauma, septic shock, haemorrhage, severe vomiting, diarrhoea, burns and associated dehydration or other severe or complicated illness.

Intra renal

Renal failure usually occurs as the internal structures of the kidney are suddenly or slowly destroyed. It is a complex collection of disease processes with a poorly understood pathophysiology. An inflammatory are probably the most common causes. Most acute renal failure occurs as secondary to bacterial infection particularly with streptococcal such as the impetigo and throat infections. Chronic failure commonly noticed with hypertension and diabetes damage the vascular walls. Smoking causes atherosclerotic changes of the arterial walls.

Nephrotoxic drugs and metals could ruin the cellular complex as in prolonged chemical medication. Disorders in metabolism and immunity is also to be considered.

Post renal

A simple mechanical or functional obstruction to the free flow of urine precludes, its excretion and renal failure occurs. It commonly happens with kidney stones, urethral stricture and prost The symptoms are sudden in acute renal failure and gradual in chronic. The initial symptoms are noticed with renal physiopathology as reduction in urinary put out and accumulation of fluid.

The accumulation of waste products also produces impairment of mind and skin symptoms.
Frequent thirst and urge to urinate.Passing of very small amount of urine, dark in colour. Swelling particularly of the hands and feet and puffiness round the eyes.Unpleasant taste in the mouth and urine like odour to the breath. Persistent fatigue and shortness of  breath. Decress of appetite and unintentional weight  loss. Pale, dry and itchy skin.
Muscular cramps and twitching. Headache, nausea, vomit and  hiccups.
Blood in vomit or stools likely.

Hyaline casts are found in glomerular proteinuria. Red cell casts indicate glomerular hematuria, white cell casts imply the presence of renal parenchymal inflammation. Granular casts are composed of cellular remnants and debris. Fatty casts are usually associated with heavy proteinuria.         .

The usual presentation of C.R.F. in Homeopathic hospital includes:
1. Homeopathy treatment Patients with just diminished renal reserve.
2.Homeopathy manage Patient with End Stage Renal Failure pending Hemodialysis and Renal Transplant.
3. Homeopathy Patient already on long term Dialysis pending Renal Transplant.
4.   Homeopathic Management Complications in dialysis
5. Homeopathy prevents Post Renal Transplant Patients.

1. Homeopathy treatment Patients with just diminished renal reserve.

This is the best field for us to work but unfortunately, the number of cases presenting at this stage are very few. The individualized homoeopathic treatment does wonders here and has prevented a large number of cases progressing to stage of dialysis or renal transplant.

The usual symptomatic presentation at this stage is vague with patients mostly complaining of nausea, anorexia and progressive weakness. The laboratory renal parameters are also not very seriously disturbed. The evolution of individualized totality comprising of the mental sphere, habits, past and family history require lots of patience and labor but the results are marvelous.

Homoeopathy has already done a yeoman service to the society here as hemodialysis and renal transplant are not within easy reach of majority of population in under- developed countries.

2. Homeopathy manage Patient with End Stage Renal Failure pending

This is the group of cases with maximum presentations in the clinics. Majority of these cases come to homoeopathic rescue as a last resort as they can’t afford long-term dialysis and transplant.
The other small group of patients want to know the benefits of Homoeopathic treatment over dialysis and if Homoeopathic treatment be carried along with Hemodialysis? The clinical judgment is individualized and varies for every patient. Remember the correlation of uremic symptoms with renal functions varies front patient to patient.

3. Homeopathy  Patient already on long term Dialysis pending Renal Transplant.

Homeopathy has a great role to play here. Research experiments in various hospitals reveals the following facts :

(a) Indicated homoeopathic remedies reduced the number of dialysis needed over a period of time.
(b) Indicated homoeopathic remedies reduce and overcome the complications associated with chronic dialysis therapy.

4.   Homeopathic Management Complications in  dialysis

Remember a chronic dialysis patient depends on a machine for his life. These patients develop a variety of psychiatric, neurologic and somatic disorders. A neurologic disorder ‘Dialysis dementia’ is a characteristic example.
In the mental sphere, these patients become very depressive, reduced physical abilities make them sad and depressive
They become very irritable like
They know that they have to depend on others, they tolerate and do not express the frustration like
In the physical sphere infections, thrombosis and aneurysm formation occur in the Arterio-venous fistula. There is a high incidence of septic embolisation in these cases. The homoeopathic remedies Arnica, have immensely helped these cases.
Heparin necessary during the hemodialysis procedures to prevent clotting leads to complications such as subdural hematoma and intracerebral hemorrhage. Arnica and different well-proved snake poisons in our Materia Medica are of great help here. .

5. Homeopathy prevents Post Renal Transplant Patients.

The group of patients coming for homoeopathic advice after Renal Transplant is very limited. Homeopaths have very little experience with these patients and the results are not very encouraging. Most of the symptoms here are marked and distorted by immune-suppressive therapy. Immuno-suppressive therapy suppresses all immune responses and hence Homoeopathic treatment has not much role to play in organ rejection of transplant cases.

.We have observed that those cases with renal failure, being put on Dialysis and if they receive homoeopathy medication simultaneously, they require less frequent dialysis and their quality of life improves.

Medicine: How To Heal A Person

Share

deals with people. It is an art as well as a science and is made up of many different care practices that in turn have developed over time in order to help treat and prevent different kinds of illnesses. For a very long time, it was mainly practiced in the East but then it became a science in the West and this changed things around considerably. So, from being something that was only practiced in the East, medicine soon became something that was practiced in almost every part of the world.

is the art of mixing drugs by a professional that is called a whose job is to mix drugs in a manner that suits the needs of his patient. Such a step has to be taken to change a medication from solid to a liquid form and also to take out certain ingredients that would otherwise give rise to allergic reactions.

(bioidentical hormone replacement therapy) is a different kind of therapy that involves use of hormones that have similar endogenous hormones. also is associated with pharmacy compounding and involves blood and saliva testing which helps the pharmacist in reaching a particular hormonal level which has previously been determined through the process of saliva/blood testing.

Medicine has a very long and interesting history that dates back to prehistoric times when herbalism in particular was practiced and which involved use of animal parts as well as minerals to treat a patient. Sometimes, the materials that were being used in the of patients were the same as were used in rituals which shamans and medicine men and even priests practiced.

The first known instance of medicinal practice can be traced to the early civilizations in Egypt and also to Babylonia as well as India. Chinese and Greeks as well as Romans were also aware of and used medicinal practices in very early times. Imhotep was probably the first real physician that practiced it around the third millennium BC.

Sri Lanka has been credited for having the first genuine hospital in which patients were being treated with the help of early forms of medications. Sushruta, an Indian surgeon, is the first to make use of surgical means to treat patients and he was the pioneer of plastic surgery.

Hippocrates is considered the father of medicine as he was responsible for laying the foundation of a more rational medicinal approach. The Hippocratic Oath for physicians is still used today and it was Hippocrates who categorized illnesses according to levels of severity including endemic, chronic, acute and epidemic. He was also the first to coin terms such as relapse, and exacerbation and paroxysm and crisis as well as convalescence and peak.

A Greek physician by the name of Galen is considered the finest surgeon from the early civilizations and it was he who was credited for performing some truly outstanding surgeries including of the eyes and also the brain.

In these modern times, medicine from compounding pharmacy Canada is being practiced on a whole new and different level and it has seen revolutionary changes on account of the practice and development of global scale information sciences. Nowadays, medicine is being conducted within special health care systems and it has become very complex and bears little if any resemblance to how it was practiced in those early days.

Medication can be difficult when recieving cancer treatment. A veterinary pharmacy toronto can help patients by compounding medication into a cream or tonic. Trust Haber’s, the premier cancer pharmacy Toronto.
