Simple and Effective Uses of Essential Oils

Share

Hippocrates the Father of medicine knew the power of aromatherapy and oils when he declared “The way to is to have an aromatic bath and scented massage daily”

Aromatherapy is an amazing holistic therapy that can be used in almost every area of your life, Stress, Anxiety and Depression are just some of the areas that aromatherapy is incredibly . Olfaction is unique amongst the senses in its direct connections to the neuro endocrine and limbic structures of the brain.

When we detect the of an essential oil, that oil has already entered into our lungs & olfactory system and is stimulating the release of chemical responses throughout our bodies. The response is determined by the aroma that is inhaled, the use of oils such as lemon have been shown to reduce typing errors when vaporised in offices, oils such as fennel can stimulate digestion and a whole plethora of oils can be successfully utilised for easing stress, anxiety, depression as well as boosting the immune system.

The choice of essential oil(s) to use is very much a personal choice, I suggest that you take a little time to smell a few oils and allow the different aromas to guide you to the essential oil(s) that are most suited to you. Below are a few oils that have a wide spectrum of uses.

Bergamot FCF (Citrus bergamia) is an uplifting oil that works very fast and effectively. Bergamot can ease anger and irritation and can defuse aggravation. Apply a drop neat at the first signs of a cold sore and it will stop it in its tracts. Add 8 drops to a tissue which is placed in with your tea bags to make delicious Earl Grey tea

Chamomile German (Chamomillia matricaria) a calming soothing oil that is ideal for times of tension or sleeplessness. Such a gentle oil that it is safe to use on new born babies, this is my number one of for calming and promoting sleep in young children, also great for teething, tantrums and nappy rash.

Neroli (Citrus aurantium var amara flos) ideal for insomnia, irritation and depression a beautiful sweet floral aroma that nurtures and rebalances ragged nerves. Wear as a perfume when feeling down or nervous,

Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) a wonderful meditative oil that promotes calmness & deep breathing, use at night especially if you experience disturbed sleep or nightmares. Perfect when feeling uptight, anxious or flustered. Great for children that experience night terrors. My number one choice for asthmatics

Sandalwood Australia (Santalum spicatum ) is a deeply calming nurturing oil that can ease irritation and help us see past petty annoyances allowing one to find other solutions. An effective remedy for both throat & urinary tract infections gargle

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Promotes calmness and tranquillity, ideal for agitation, anxiety, irritation and headaches. Can be applied neat to the skin to heal open wounds, cuts, bites & burns. Apply one drop to each temple at the outset of a headache and feel the tension melt away. This oil is a first aid box in a bottle.

Vetivert (Vetiveria zizanoides ) a deep calming earthy aroma that is ideal for anyone that tends to be “off with the fairies” ” not in their bodies, disconnected”,. Vetivert is grounding, very nourishing ideal for dehydrated skin it is calming to the nervous system has a great cooling effect when applied to the skin. Often people prefer to mix this with lighter oils such as Bergamot FCF or Sweet Orange to lift this aroma a little.

The reason aromatherapy is so effective is that there are so many ways that you can utilise the oils to gain maximum benefit, Personally having a regular aromatic bath at night is my sanity saver, others do not enjoy bathing so use a vaporizer or receiving a massage would be more appropriate, below are a few suggestions

Bathing with Essential oils is an ideal way to promote relaxation and sleep. It is a good idea to mix your essential oil (s) with a little (5ml) of carrier oil (sweet almond/ avocado/ Jojoba etc) I use an egg cup or shots glass to mix the carrier oil with the essential oils before pouring into a drawn bath. Use Approximately 8 – 10 drops in an adult bath.

An electric vaporizer that requires no water is ideal to use in your bedroom to promote calm and tranquillity and to help to assist with quietening the mind so that sleep can be achieved Sandalwood and Frankincense are two of my favourite oils for this, I am not a fan of candle burners as the idea of a naked flame unattended would be enough to keep me awake all night, if you do not have an electric vaporizer I suggest you use a candle burner in your bedroom a few hours before going to bed and the put out when you get into bed. Alternatively you can apply 3 drops of oil to a tissue and tuck this into your pillow slip. Add stimulating oils during the day to help you stay alert and focussed idea to use when working on a computer oils of & Rosemary are great for mental dexterity

Receiving professional aromatherapy massage on a regular basis is a wonderful way to address stress, anxiety and depression, if your budget does not stretch to this then self massage is also recommended, add 5 drops of your chosen oil(s) to 10 mls of carrier oil such as sweet almond/ Jojoba/ Apricot kernel etc, remembering to always work up your legs never down to assist with circulation and prevent varicose veins

Herbal Incense – A Chemical-Free Way To Make Your Home Smell Nice

Share

Watch television for any amount of time and sooner rather than later, you will view a commercial for some type of home fragrance or air freshener product. If you watch television for a week, you will probably know five different ways to keep your home “fresh-smelling” at the end of the week, solely through television commercials.

There are candles, of course. There are plug-ins that are inserted into your outlets. There are battery-powered products, and both automatic and manual sprays. But one concern some people have over these items is how artificial they can be, or how many chemicals they may be releasing into the air. When you stop to think about it, do you really want to be inhaling all those potentially toxic chemicals for hours on end? Worse yet-what if you have children or pets? As smaller beings with delicate respiratory systems, children and pets are much more sensitive to these types of airborne chemicals than adult human beings are.

A much safer alternative is . Many of you are familiar with in stick or cone form. But did you know that these forms of can contain glue or resin, to aid in the stick or cone keeping its’ shape? Not exactly the chemical-free option you were looking for, huh? incense is different-it is simply dried herbs, the everyday herbs that one can grow in their very own garden. That’s it! There are no chemicals, no artificial scents, and no carcinogens. incense is easy and safe to use, and as an added bonus, can be made at home for the more creative individuals.

Hcg Diet Dangers Questions Answered

Share

Donna asks…

A Brief Introduction of HCG Diet Danger?

With the ever fast development of HCG diet, an increasing number of people are getting to know it. Carefully getting the comprehensive information of HCG diet, including its dangers, is a must-to-do thing for anyone who has interests in it.

Chloe Adisson answers:

You forgot to post your spam link to go with the spam question.

Lisa asks…

how does that hcg diet work and are there any dangers?

Chloe Adisson answers:

It makes the body think it is pregnant and there are always risks with drugs…

Linda asks…

How good is the HCG Diet?

Im trying to lose some weight and i’ve heard from a lot of people about this hcg diet thing. How good is it? Is it ? Is their any dangers?

Chloe Adisson answers:

I’m doing the HCG diet right now following the 21 Day program from http://prohcgdiet.com So far it is working nicely. I take the drops 3 times a day and eat the very strict 500 calorie diet. Its been about 10 days and ive lost 10.2 lbs. The results are fast and i feel great. I think i look alot lighter than the 10 pounds shows. As far as side effects, i have not encountered any so far, except that if you stray from the diet it will not work at all. It even causes you to gain weight if you drink alcohol or eat to much sugar/carbs. Also, you cannot exercise heavily or your body will go into starvation mode and hold fat.

Im hoping to lose another 10 lbs. In the 11 days i have left in this cycle. If you decide to try it, you just have to be very dedicated and DO NOT CHEAT, no matter how badly you want a cheeseburger!

Good luck!

John asks…

Are there any actual stories of people getting hurt from the HCG diet?

I’m using homeopathic HCG now and doing the 500 calorie diet. I’m taking Vitamins C, B12 and Potassium as well, and honestly, I feel great (actually better than I did before I started) and have lost a little over 10 lbs in a week.
However, I’ve heard people say that it’s dangerous. I tried looking up the dangers before I purchased the homeopathic HCG online, and all I got was the same freezedried stories of how dangerous full strength HCG is. Yes…. I get that. We take many medicines that would be dangerous at high dosages whereas they’re harmless at low doseages.

Have you actually HEARD of anyone having major problems from taking HCG that have actually followed protocol and have not ate less than 500c per day? Anyone whose metabolism was permanantly screwed up (again, that followed the following stages as they were supposed to?.
Everyone that I’ve known that has one it has had great success and so far, is doing good keeping the weight off. Usually when something is too good to be true, it is. This seems to be different though.
So… tell me something I don’t know about it?
Thanks :-)
Homeopathic :-) It’s taken orally instead of injected.
From what I gather, it’s considerably WAY more diluted than the injections that people take that are using RX HCG.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I did the RX HCG for 3 weeks…

I lost 16 pound and its been 4 months and I’ve kept it off….

Only advice is to make sure your taking multivitamin, B12 and Biotin! I lost half my hair a month after!

Mandy asks…

HCG Drops and Diet Questions, Results?

Please don’t answer if your going to give me a lecture. I understand the risks/dangers of this Diet.

I just got the HCG drops, I was just wondering do I have to follow a strict diet or can I eat whatever i would like as long as its not over 500 calories…

For people that have done the diet, what have been your results?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Well, the best guide i could find for you is on these sites

http://www.hcgdietsource.com

http://www.hcgdiscountsupplies.com

The best thing is that they reply to your queries, if you have any questions regarding hcg diet or their hcg supplies.

Hope this helps

Aromatherapy Oils Questions Answered

Share

Michael asks…

aromatherapy oils?

can “organic 100% pure X oil” (lavender, ylang ylang, eucaliptus…etc) with “aromatherapy” written next to them be used on my skin and hair?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Yes. If you want to use it on your skin such as for massage, you should add carrier oil like : sweet almond oil, jojoba oil or avocado oil.

The ideal would be 7 – 10 drops of oils combine with 15 – 20 ml of carrier oils. This blends should be safe for the beginner. 7 – 10 drops oil can be combined from 1 – 3 kind of oils.

If you want to find blends recipe for skin and your hair, you can visit :

George asks…

Is it ok to use Bath and Body Works aromatherapy oils in a diffuser?

I was wondering if I could use a Bath and Body Works aromatherapy oil in my diffuser. It uses an air pump to disperse the oil into the air in a fine mist. I noticed on the Bath and Body Works website it says that the oils should be used with an oil warmer.

Also, I couldn’t find out if the oils were 100% essential oils. Could they still be used regardless? Does it even matter? Sorry, I’m new to oils and diffusers!

Chloe Adisson answers:

No. It looks like, from their website, what they sell is “home fragrance oil” and “massage oil.” The former is a blend and not essential oils. The latter is diluted with what is called a carrier oil. Either of these can stop up and ruin an expensive diffuser.

True essential oils are obtained from plant oils and have healing properties. Some are anti-fungal, bactericidal, anti-spasmodic and so forth. What you have smells good but is made from petrochemicals, highly refined oil obtained from the ground–some is made into motor oil, gasoline, etc. It has no healing properties & may even be damaging.

Go to the food store & buy pure essential oils for your diffuser. Start with lavender–it is one of the least expensive, least likely to cause allergic response even in babies, and most versatile. Lavender is a muscle relaxer & used for burns, insect bites, diaper rash, headache (applied to temples or back of neck), muscle spasm & pain. If you want to get rid of bad odors in a room, try orange or lemon in the diffuser, both also really economical.

I use Now Foods brand, Aura Cacia, Starwest & Mountain Rose (buy online). All are reasonably priced & reliable companies.

Ken asks…

Can I use aromatherapy oils as hair care oils? Are they essential oils or different?

Hi, I want to use some oils for my hair because I’ve read it is really good for your hair, but I can’t find most of the oils where I live, but I have found aromatherapy oils, are they de same?? can I use them for my face too? Because I feel like they are different in some way, I’m pretty new to all of the oils stuff, so I don’t really know. Thanks!

Chloe Adisson answers:

Some are. They will not do much for the hair but the are really good for the scalp like peppermint, rosemary, tea tree. I would use a regular oil and maybe mix a few drop of Essential oil. Olive oil can be found anywhere. Essential oils are also expensive. Vitamin shoppe sells oils and so does any health food store. If you still can not find some they do sell them on the internet if you order things off the internet.

Steven asks…

how and where can we purchase essential oils and aromatherapy oils?and how mch is the cost?

and what kind of aromatherapy oils do you have?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Overall, the effects of essential oils may be divided into two basic groups. Some essential oils have actual physical effects. For example, eucalyptus oil can be inhaled to help clear sinuses and the respiratory tract. This would obviously relieve some symptoms of an upper respiratory infection (URI). Some oils may be used topically (directly on the skin, where they would usually be absorbed by the body, or on a wound) to possibly relieve swelling or fight certain infections.

You can read more about various oils here:
http://www.aromatherapy-blends.net/aromatherapy-essential-oils.htm

Maria asks…

Are there any aromatherapy oils that can alleviate the pain of migraine and headaches?

I have always found aromatherapy oils very for dealing with non-emergency problems but cannot find any help when it comes to migraines or headaches…
Thank you :)

Chloe Adisson answers:

I’m a massage therapist and use many essential oils. I also suffer from migraines, and i keep a little tissue dripped with lavender inside my pillow case. It helps me to relax, which causes me to be able to sleep better.
Here is a listing of what I keep handy. Hope it will help for you.

Aromatherapy for Headaches/Migraine
You can find an essential oil recommended pretty much “for whatever ails you.” For our purposes, we’ll be looking at those oils most often recommended for headaches, Migraine, depression, panic, anxiety, sleep. The chart below lists some of the oils recommended for these needs. Here, also, is a list of ten oils suggested for getting started with aromatherapy. Some experimentation will tell you which combinations work best for you.

Carrier Oils For Headaches/Migraine
Sweet Almond
Apricot Kernel
Avocado
Coconut
Sesame
Lavender
Peppermint
Bay
Melissa
Jasmine
Eucalyptus
Rosemary

For Depression For Anxiety/Panic
Orange
Bergamot
Lemon
Lemon Verbena
Lemongrass
Melissa
Petitgrain
Orange Blossom
Chamomile
Grapefruit
Mandarin
Orange
Juniper
Fir

Cedarwood
Ylang Ylang
Sandalwood
Frankincense
Clove
Clary Sage
Patchouli

For Relaxation/Sleep 10 To Get Started
Bergamot
Chamomile
Lavender
Mandarin
Sandalwood
Frankincense
Clary Sage
Juniper
Marjoram
Jasmine

Sweet Almond
(Carrier)
Peppermint
Chamomile
Lavender
Lemongrass
Bergamot
Eucalyptus
Jasmine
Frankincense
Clary Sage

Think about your headaches/Migraine attacks. Do they make you feel depressed, anxious, or panicked? Do you need to sleep, but have trouble? Choose some of the oils from the chart, mix one or more with some carrier oil, and give them a try. You can wait until you need them, and mix a small amount in the palm of your hand, or you can mix the oils ahead in a bottle. For example, I tend to experience anxiety and panic during the headache phase of a Migraine attack. I’m also prone to drop or spill things, so I premix oils in a small, roll-on bottle. My Migraine and relaxation/sleep blends are:

Migraine Blend

Fill bottle approximately 2/3 with Sweet Almond Oil
6 drops Lavender Oil (headache/Migraine)
6 drops Clary Sage Oil (anxiety/panic)
6 drops Chamomile Oil (sleep)
12 drops Peppermint Oil (headache/Migraine) Peppermint is also very helpful for nausea.
Cover top with finger and shake. Check the fragrance of the oil. If it is unpleasant to you, add a few drops of whichever oil you prefer to make it more pleasant.
Fill any remaining space in bottle with Sweet Almond Oil, insert the roller ball, and cap the bottle.
To use: Apply to temples and areas of pain. Massage lightly. You can also roll some onto the back of your hand

Relaxation/Sleep Blend

Fill bottle approximately 2/3 with Sweet Almond Oil (For this one, I use a small glass bottle with an orifice reducer — a plastic insert for the opening that allows the oils to come out a drop at a time.
6 drops Lavender Oil
6 drops Bergamot Oil
6 drops Chamomile Oil
Finish filling bottle with Jasmine Oil, 10% in Jojoba Oil. (Pure Jasmine is very potent and very expensive. The 10% formulation is commonly used.)
If you don’t like the fragrance of Jasmine, substitute an amount of Mandarin oil to achieve a pleasant fragrance, then fill the rest of the way with Almond Oil.
Insert orifice reducer into top of bottle, then cap.
To use: Variety of uses. Sprinkle a few drops on your pillow, massage your temples, etc.

Well, one thing we actually take on hold and is very significant to us is its and uses. oil has so many benefits that we can never feel regret when we use it. Herbal Treatment For Adhd Questions Answered

Share

Jenny asks…

ADHD diagnosis?

My son has recently been diagnosed with ADHD. He was prescribed Ritalin at the drop of a hat, but after reading about the medication, and seeing the look of horror on people’s faces when I told them, I have decided he wont take it. I have ordered something called Synaptol, which is some treatment for ADHD, it sounds good, but I have no idea. My son is also going to visit a complementary centre tomorrow, but I just wondered if anyone has any views or can recommend anything I can try. I dont want to go down the Ritalin road, it sounds like a really gruesome drug.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Very long answer.. And I promise it is not a cut and paste quickie.. (I hate those)

First of all… Awesome :) good for you!
Finally a parent on this planet with some common sense.
Drugs are drugs and more parents should be encouraging their kids to stay away from them..
I am certainly not a doctor, but I can’t understand the logic of giving a brain stimulant to a person with hyperactivity issues.
A child has a brain that is naturally growing and developing.. Adding a bunch of synthetic chemcals seems to only complicate matters. The behavior may change for the better.. But does the improvement justify the potential damage? Personally, I don’t think it does. I am sure there are a small percentage of kids out there that need some kind of drastic treatment… Little things like not cleaning up your room when asked to, or not doing well on schoolwork should not be interpretated as an indicaton that medical treatment options are mandatory and risky steps should be taken immediately.
Most behavioral issues fall under the responsibility of the parent or teacher, but it seems that psychiatrists are far too willing to offer everyone the easy way out of this responsibility by dropping a label on these kids and drugging them up so they will conform. And that is just sick.
I was doing some research for my sister and found another option for online while I was looking through alternative medicines for my nephew last year.. It is probably very similar to what you have found.

He is 13 now.. Seems to be doing better. A lot of his issues are stress related.. His father has been in the service and away from home for the last 3 years.. It is rough on him. He also has some kind of odd dietary abnormality.. Naturally sensitive to certain foods. He is a very healthy kid with a great personality :)

I will also throw you a link to read up on some of the prescriptions that are being offered to children for a variety of afflictions. It is somewhat jaded and loaded with propaganda from the opposite perspective of the drug manufacturers. Really is a fascinating debate. And the questions left unanswered is the reason I am so against the idea that medication is solution.

The reality is that nothing can be done to cure the problem until the true cause for the problem can be determined. And right now everybody is guessing.. The drug companines are rushing to convince the public that they have the answer to it without a shred of conclusive evidence as proof of their statements. The FDA that approves the medications is majorly sponsored by the drug companies for their funding. (blatent conflict of interest). The psychaitrists are stuck in a position where if they don’t prescribe something, they are taking the risk that the parents will lose confidence in that entire section of the medical field. Everyone involved with the debate is horribly tainted by money.. And the kids are typically left with the negative consequences for the decisions made by the adults with the moral obligation to protect them. Alternative medicine may or may not be as .. But at least it is natural. That makes more sense to me as a first option.
I encourage you to get a couple opinions before you choose any course of action for your child.. The treatment options out there right now are very shady for these types of things. Not enough is known about it.
Research all you can on it.. There is a lot of good information out there from the perspective of the parents that are in a similar situation. Both sides of the debate have valid points.

A lot of it is a shift in society .. 20 years ago, the general perception would have been.. ‘ahh.. It’s ok.. He’s just a kid being a kid’ .. And today it is more like ‘wow.. Your kid is a spoiled brat.. You should really do something about it’
Same child.. Different decade.
Experimental drugs may always be an option, but try everything else first.. If an adult wants to be irresponsible and ruin their lives by being a drug addict.. So be it.. I am also a parent.. And my daughter would have to be VERY out of control for me to even consider it. Dangerous and destructive, yes.. I would consider it.. Anything less, no way.

In the interest of fairness, I will also give you the medical side of things and leave you to make your own informed decision..

This website will give you the clinical perspective on the affliction .. And symptom/treatment/prognosis information

http://www.drugs.com/condition/attention-deficit-disorder.html

This website will give you all of the prescription information for every drug that is FDA approved to treat ADD/ADHD.

Yes, there are a lot of things that anybody can say against what I have written.. But, you don’t have to be a doctor to understand that when the negative side effects of a drug show a 400-600% increased chance of occurence over placebo, you are taking an unnecessary risk. When that statistic comes down to reasonable levels and can be independently proven.. My opinion will change dramatically.

Mary asks…

what is the best known nonmedicinal treatment for ADHD?

herbal or nonherbal treatments for ADHD

Chloe Adisson answers:

A great deal of benefit is gained by removing all additives and preservatives from the diet.

There have been studies done to show that 80% of children with ADHD make huge improvements just by changing diet.

It means cutting out all fizzy drinks, all colourants (they are in many foods and drinks) , especially sunshine yellow. All additives.

Just use natural fresh foods, meat, fish, fruit and vegetables.

Laura asks…

What is the best alternative treatment for ADHD?

Herbal only. Liver, gal bladder cleanse. No drugs. Specific products please. Hoping to shorten my research a little.
Stop arguing that cleanses are bad. They are great if you know what you are doing. The right ones do work, unlike drugs that cure symptoms only. Cure your illness, not hide it.
Yes there is such a thing. I agree that usually it is bad parenting, in which this is somewhat. As a Foster parent I know your feeling all too well
True ADHD is usually caused by the mother eating and drinking too much sugar and caffeine. Stop drink mountain dew and whatever while pregnant. Stop smoking/drinking, dying hair. Sacrifice a little for your baby.

Chloe Adisson answers:

There have actually been a lot of studies that have shown that Fish Oil can help with ADD/ADHD. It seems too , and that may be one reason it wasn’t really looked at closely for this, but I wasn’t surprised it would help when I thought about it. The EPA and DHA in Fish Oil help with all sorts of things including heart health, skin health, and brain health. There was a good article at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-391503/Fish-oil-calms-children-better-Ritalin.html that covers some of this as well.
Give it a try… It’s economical, safe, and easy. Just make sure that the company you get it from uses Molecular Distillation because that’s currently the only safe way to remove any trace contaminants of any heavy metals. Of course, if you aren’t sure about the dosage or the , you may want to consult with a holistic doctor, as they may have other additional options available to them.

There are also a lot of people who have found some relief from limiting sugar, artificial colors/flavorings, and going with less (or no) processed food to take away those possible causes as well. From research I’ve done, Fish Oil tends to help more, but both work even better together. Good luck and I hope I helped!

Donald asks…

ADHD herb called “alphanie” (sp?)?

I heard a doctor on TV talking about an herbal treatment for ADD/ADHD. He pronounced it “alphanie” but I don’t know the proper spelling, so I can’t look up any information about it. Has anyone heard of this treatment? Do you know how it is properly spelled? Thanks!

Chloe Adisson answers:

Not sure, but I’ve found this:

“Herbs and Supplements. A number of parents resort to alternative remedies as an alternative to psychostimulants and other drugs. These products include- as St. John? ‘ s wort, ginkgo biloba, panax ginseng, melatonin, and pine bark extract. Based on existing evidence, however, none can be recommended, particularly for children.

Generally, manufacturers of herbal remedies and dietary supplements do not need FDA approval to sell their products. Just like a drug, herbs and supplements can affect the body’s chemistry, and therefore have the potential to produce side effects that may be harmful. There have been a number of reported cases of serious and even lethal side effects from herbal products. Always check with your doctor before using any herbal remedies or dietary supplements.”

There’s lots of sites on the net selling invented ‘cures’ to concerned parents. These are nothing more than modern snake oil, so be careful.

Daniel asks…

A miracle treatment?

My 5 yo son has been diagnosed with ADHD-combined type and ODD recently. Its been recommended to us to put him on medication. I have been doing some reading on the different types of available medications and I have to say, they ALL scare me! The side effects are atrocious with some of these medications. So, I have done some searching and came accross a herbal treatment called “Focus ADHD“. What caught my eye is the tons of testimonials posted on the site for this drug, and some of them (the testimonials) brought me to tears. Has anyone tried this herbal supplement/treatment? If so, did it work well? Did it have any side effects? Also, has anyone had TRUE success with any of the traditional meds prescribed for ADHD (such as Ritalin, Strattera, etc.)? Any advice or help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!
Some more info–This product comes with a “dietary strategy” for parents, and tons of parental advice. In addition to taking the supplement, it says to make the following diet changes-eliminate refined sugars, soft drinks, artificial preservatives, artificial colors and “bad fats” (like trans-fat). It also recommends plenty of exercise and claims to be 100% natural, and completely not addictive, its safe enough to take forever if need be. I also have made a doctor’s appointment for Monday morning to discuss this product. Judging by the great answers I have gotton so far, this supplement is definitely worth a try. Thank you so much!

Chloe Adisson answers:

Yes, diet is really important. Also, less time in front of the tv, computer, playing games etc.
Although it is disputed by some people now, I still believe white sugar, especially at the rate north americans consume it, is not a healthy thing. Many people are also reactive to food dyes, artificial chemicals, preservatives etc.
I’m so glad to hear you are not going the pharmaceutical route.
Please watch the eye opening video below, you may want to send it to your friends. As well as school officials, who have no business in making a medical diagnosis.
But to actually answer your question, I am not familiar with Focus ADHD.

Carol asks…

treatments..?

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever tried herbal treatments to treat failing kidneys? My sister has fsgs and she was told that her kidneys are only functioning 20% and she will need a transplant or dialysis soon.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I have FSGS and i have never taken . I asked my doctor about it once and he said do not do chinese herbs and those types of things. They are not regulated whats in them and a lot of the things in them are harmful to the kidneys. Please consult a doctor before doing anything like that.

I was almost put on the transplant list but i got better and now my kidneys are functioning normally.

I take prograf, calcium, iron, vitamin D, aspirin, enalipril, diamox, bumex, prednisone. I used to take epogen shots as well but i am not anemic anymore

keep fighting and i wish her good luck. I know what she is going through

Ken asks…

Do herbal treatments of HIV actually work?

Has anyone witnessed first hand the of herbal treatments. There are a lot of claims on the internet. How can I be sure they are real?

Chloe Adisson answers:

The vast majority of herbal remedies on the internet or anywhere else are usually just outright scams, the beauty of modern medicines is that each product has to pass extremely stringent clinical trials which can be reproduced anywhere in the world before it can be prescribed by a fully qualified doctor..

Anyone can sell herbal remedies (I’m not saying that they’re all bad or that none of them work) with no training whatsoever, the preparation, packaging and storage of herbs have no controls, they don’t go through any regulatory trials, they don’t need a licence and some of them can be positively harmful.

As for HIV, the only known treatment is antiviral products, none of which are herbal.

Please give your suggestions. This acne is really making me irritating and frustrating. My bad looks are the result of this acne. Help me out.

Sharon asks…

Can Herbal treatments by a naturopathic dr help with Hepatitis d?

My girlfriend may start taking interferon treatments and I was wondering if herbal treatments would interfere with the interferon treatments
the person i would be getting the herbs from is a naturopathic doctor, with a degree in such

Chloe Adisson answers:

First off, your girlfriend should ask the doctor that prescribed the interferons. They know what they’re talking about, and probably see lots of people with liver problems, and will be able to give a sensible answer. The doctor will have been trained in pharmacology, and will know all about how drugs interact with each other in the body. On the other hand, the herb-seller (they are not doctors) won’t have had the same training. The herbs they sell won’t have had to pass the same strict regulations that medicinal drugs do, and so their effects on the body (and especially the liver, something to think about in an individual with hepatitis!) may not be fully known.

I’d say avoid the herbs altogether.
