I am using homeopathy medicines for curing sinus, when i suffer from fever doc advised not to take those medicines, may I know why?

Question by cocoscupboard: Can anybody help with some advice for homeopathic remedies to help with giving up metadone and other drugs?
Please help with any advice on alternative homeopathic remedies such as ginseng, valarian etc, anything that could help someone who is gradually detoxing from serious drug addictions. I have been reunited with a family member who lives abroad and discovered he has been addicted for 30 years to heroin, and is now on 150ml methadone per day, 20 tablets of diazepam (5mg) and nitrazepam (5mg) 20 tabs per day, plus other pills for sleeping and stomach problems. He now really wants to get clean but can’t do cold turkey as he could die thorugh this option aparently? He also has hepatitus b and c and has a poor liver now.
Please help, advice is much appreciated! He lives in Scandinavia and there are no centres locally.

Homeopathic Medicine are prescribed according to the symptoms of the patient not of the disease or disorder. If you need a Homeopathic solution please give the patients symptoms exactly the way the patient feels them from head to toes, Body and Mind.

From everything I’ve heard…depending on the treatments style…too fast. Some of the treatments are valid, some are 100% useless, and are more dangerous than anything else.

Question by Gordon S1: What homeopathic remedy is for cough or bronchitis?
I am trying to cure a flemmy cough / bronchitis that has been persisting for the last 19 days. As I cannot take any antibiotics, somebody advised me to try homeopathic remedy Bryonia. Do you know if Bryonia is the right remedy for cough / bronchitis and what would be the best potency to use for this e.g. 6c, 12c or 30C or some other remedy / potency?

That’s what homeopathic remedies are at 6c and 12c.
There are two standard dilutions in homeopathy, X and C. In
the former, one drop of a solution is diluted with nine drops
of solvent (i.e. 1 part in 10 parts), and shaken. The latter
is a one part in 100 dilution.
The number before the X or C is the number of times the
dilution was completed. So, a 30C dilution is 1 drop in 100,
thirty times sequentially. If you know anything about molarity
of solutions, statistically, anything beyond a 12C dilution
has little chance of having any active ingredient in it
whatsoever.
30c? Come on! You’re having a laugh. A 30C preparation has been diluted one-hundredfold 18 times more than has a 12 C solution.
If you can’t take anti-biotics for bronchitis, ask your doctor what you can take. Not all antibiotics are alike, not all will cause allergic reactions.
The worst that can happen is that your doctor will prescribe a placebo and you’ll end up taking medicine with the same amount of active ingredient as homeopathy ie. none.

I was recently reading up on the different types of medicine administration ( i.e. homeopathic, allopathic, osteopathic and naturopathic) and by the definition of homeopathic medicine (the use of the diluted disease to cure the actual disease) shouldn’t the varicella vaccination (and most others too) be considered as a homeopathic medicine?

Your description of varicella (Chicken Pox) immunization is approximately correct. They don’t give you a “diluted” form of the disease; they give you an attenuated form. The actual Chicken Pox organisms are modified (by heat or chemicals) so that they cannot reproduce or cause the disease, and they are injected into your arm. Your body recognizes the disease organisms as an invading organism, and starts to produce antibodies specific to the pathogens. In approximately 21 days or so, your body will have a full-fledged anti-varicella factory in operation, and it would then quickly overcome any actual invasion of varicella organisms in the future, preventing the full-fledged disease from developing and protecting you. The protection lasts for as long as the body keeps producing antibodies, or more specifically, remembers the “code” for the structure of the antibodies so it can quickly reproduce them if/as needed. There are differing opinions as to how long this protection lasts for varicella. It used to be thought that the protection was for life, and it probably is for a majority of individuals. However, this lifetime protection might only be found in individuals who have actually had Chicken Pox, not in those simply vaccinated against it. It appears that it can reappear in SOME individuals in later years as an eruption of the painful skin condition known as “Shingles.” Everyone seems to be different; some will have it and others not, so the protection seems to be variable, too. Not everything in medicine is 100%. There are ALWAYS exceptions to EVERYTHING.
