Question by ResearchGirl: What is the maximum daily dose of camilia homeopathic for a baby?
I gave my baby boiron camilia homeopathic for teethng. The box says give one dose followed by another every 15 minutes for two more doses. So is three doses the maximum for the day? Or in a couple of hours can she have 3 more doses?
Best answer:
Answer by No Name
Homeopathic “medicine” contains no active ingredients. If it is a liquid it is just water, or sugar water.
Since there is nothing in it, there is no theoretical maximum dose, unless you are concerned about giving your baby sugar water….which you should be.

i use something called “rescue remedy” to help with my anxiety and it’s fantastic! it’s made from lots of different flowers, doesn’t interact with medications, works fast, is really effective, you can take it by itself or put some in a water bottle and sip it whenever you need it. it’s such a great thing to have! even for people without anxiety disorders who are just really stressed or need help getting to sleep, it’s really good. and it’s cheap too.
something else i use is lavender oil, i put some on my temples and the back of my neck or sometimes on my pillow and it’s really relaxing. it always surprises me how just a scent can make people feel relaxed but it really does!

I would crush it with a spoon. (with clean hands) dab it up with your finger and let the baby lick off the powder off your finger.

Question by : Homeopathic medicine and natural remedies are so popular because of what?
Homeopathic medicine and natural remedies are so popular because of what?
A) strong clinical research supports their role in modern medicine.
B) the placebo effect helps these treatments appear to be effective.
C) they do not produce any side effects or drug interactions.
D) all of the above.
Thanks.
Best answer:
Answer by Patrick M
“B” would be the most correct answer in this case, though it isn’t fair to categorize all natural remedies as ineffective.
“A” is not true. There is no evidence that Homeopathic remedies have any efficacy whatsoever. The theory behind Homeopathy (and I’m using their own definition) is that you work on the principle of opposites, i.e. if someone has a fever, you give him or her a medicine that would induce a fever, but in tiny amounts. However, the doses involved in Homeopathy are EXTREMELY minute. It involves starting with a tiny dose of a known medication (plant extracts or other chemical substances) then repeated dilutions with distilled water until it is diluted BILLIONS to one, i.e. there may be only a few molecules (if any) of the original substance in the liquid. This is essentially distilled water without anything else. The theory is again that the medication “imprints” the water with it’s essence, which is highly implausible from any scientific standpoint. It is not particularly fair to say that all natural remedies are in this same category. Some natural remedies have definite pharmacological properties, in fact many current medications were derived from “natural” sources such as quinine (from a tree bark).
“C” is also not true, some natural remedies may be effective BECAUSE they contain substance which have a pharmacological basis AND they may react with other drugs with adverse events.
“D” is false because “A” & “C” are false.

Question by : What are some homeopathic remedies for meningitis?
My 4 year old son is deathly ill with meningitis and treatment is way too expensive for us to afford.. I’ve been looking into homeopathy and have read it’s a safer, and less expensive alternative to mainstream medicine. What are some good homeopathic remedies for meningitis?
Best answer:
Answer by shevek1248
There are none. Homeopathy does not work any better than a placebo, and if you attempt to use it to treat your son’s meningitis, he will die. And then, God willing, you’ll be put into prison for negligent homicide.
Try some actual medicine. It works.
