Q&A: Are licensed Illinois Estheticians legally allowed to use essential oils on clients?

Share

Question by Lisa: Are allowed to use on ?
I am a licensed esthetician in Illinois, looking at starting up my own holistic skincare space. As a licensed esthetician, am I allowed to use on my clients? I can’t find anything that specifies one way or another… only stuff that says we can only work on the top layer of skin for purposes of skincare and relaxation. I don’t see how using would be any different than using a product with as an … but I was wondering if knows for sure. And where can I find proof that it is or is not allowed? Thanks!

The sebaceous gland produces sebum which provides nourishment and luster to the hair. The basic nutrition for the hair has to come through the stream, which means that you have to eat right if you want your hair to be in good condition. The graying of hair could be due to a lack of vitamins, a faulty diet, anxiety and stress. It can be attributed to a lack of vitamin B, iron, copper, and iodine in the diet. Stress and worries can interfere with the supply of essential elements needed for the hair to grow. It can also be due to heredity, an unclean scalp, or a mix up in the hormones.

What are the remedies? In spite of the various reasons for the graying of hair, it is heartening to know that home remedies will help regain normal hair. Indian goose berry is considered the most efficient natural remedy in preventing or repairing graying hair due to its content of vitamin C. Cut the fruit and dry it in the shade for 10-15 days. These pieces can be boiled in coconut oil until a dark residue remains. You can use this oil to massage your scalp. This oil will nourish your scalp and invigorate hair growth. Warm a little oil everyday and use it to massage your head. You can eat one or two gooseberries everyday to enrich your body for the nutrients to reach the blood stream and hence the scalp.

You can use curry leaves and prepare a herbal oil similarly. Curry leaves are rich sources of iron and vitamins. You can include curry leaves in your diet in the form of chutneys or add it to butter milk. This helps to prevent further graying of hair. You can also try to make oil ribbed gourd in the similar way by drying it in shade and heating it in coconut oil. This oil will nourish the hair roots and restore the normal hair. You can also break open a vitamin E capsule in the oil. This will nourish and give you healthy hair. Another remedy you can try is to apply butter made of cow’s milk on your scalp. As the nutrients for hair should also be supplied through the blood stream, you should also include butter in your meals. You can also eat a cup of yogurt before meals to help hair grow better.

Use a good quality shampoo with Indian gooseberry, and lemon as its . For silky and hair you can try a mix of 1tsp of fenugreek seed powder in yogurt, apply it on your hair, and wash after half an hour. This will condition and nourish your hair. In addition, eat a well balanced diet with greens, vegetables, fruits, nut, and dairy products. Proteins and calcium are essential for and lustrous hair. Brush your hair well to increase blood circulation. Smile your worries and stress away and see your hair grow.

Q&A: What effect does a blood recipient have when the donor is on strong homeopathic medications?

Share

Question by : What does a have when the is on strong medications?
When a person on very high potency donates blood, does the recipient also have the effects of the homeopathic medication?
@”Thenoseknows”. Thanks for the input. I have read and been taught that in Classic even body fluids like sweat when in contact with other persons is likely to trigger a response as these are in very high potency. That’s the basis for my question. Please do elaborate or suggest a reference.

Best answer:

Answer by Tink
No….neither does the donor.
Homeopathic medications are placebos: only inert .

Nosey? If a blood donor was taking large doses of benzo’s, the donated blood would effect the recipient. Why wouldn’t the blood a donor taking homeopathics effect the recipient? Does the medication “”? That would have to be some impressively smart sugar.

Q&A: Does anyone know what ingredients are used to make homeopathic remedies? Is brandy a common ingredient?

Share

Question by LeeDee: Does what are to make ? Is a ?
I took my 2 yr old daughter to a homeopath for sleeping difficulties and she prescribed lycopodium, but the remedy is based on a mix of water and brandy. I thought it was unusual to give alcohol to young children but she said its quite common when I brought it up. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of homeopathic remedies or used them on children and what results were gained. Thanks!

Alcohol is frequently used in homeopathic remedies quite successfully. The key is to remember that it is “medicinal” and not abuse it.

Can I change to Homeopathy treatment from Allopathic one for TB?

Share

Question by Harris: Can I change to from Allopathic one for TB?
I have been taking for the treatment of pulmonary(lung) TB for the past 1 month. However, there are some side-effects which include loss of appetite. Also,I am unable to swallow the tablets and so take it in powdered form, which some say might not be correct. I would be very comfortable taking Homeopathy medicines. What should I do ?

No. No. No. No.

First, let me say, I am sorry you got this , but it is curable.

The tuberculosis bacteria is a very nasty, tricky bug. It hides from the immune system and is very hard to get rid of. It’s deadly, and if you go off the drugs, the bugs left in you can become resistant to the treatments and you will be having and spreading resistant TB, which is really bad. Then when you really need treatment, it won’t work and you might die.

The drugs are rather severe, but you don’t have to take them forever. Just for a number of months until the TB is cured. The doctor will test you and tell you when you can stop.

The formulation of the drug (powdered or tablets) is actually very important to how the drug works. Ask your doctor to suggest what to do if you find you cannot swallow tablets. It’s really vital. Some drugs are coated with waxes and other ingredients so that they skip the stomach (where they’d be destroyed) and be absorbed in the intestines, so powdering them can change how they work in your body.

I can’t stress enough how IMPORTANT it is that you stay on your course of treatment. If you have loss of appetite, drink a nutritious drink like Ensure. You may have to force it down, like medicine. Eat highly nutrious things like eggs, meats and cheese to get a lot of calories in a small package. It’s not fun, but this is only for some months until you cure the TB.

Homeopathy works for some things but NOT for which are contagious and deadly. You would be being very horrible if you stopped taking the drugs and spread this terrible disease. It took years for medical science to come up with a for TB, which killed millions around the world, and it’s a disease of young people and is a slow, painful death, too.

Talk to your doctor about this, and if he or she won’t talk to you, find some kind of counseling in the public health system as this is very important for you and everyone else.

Can anyone explain me the different potencies of homeopathy in order from low to high and their usage ?

Share

Question by Goodguy 4: Can explain me the of in low to and ?
Can anyone explain me the diffferent homeopathy potencies and their order from low to high and their method of taking (in pills or water dilutions) . Coz the 6x,, 30c, 30X ,200. The terms are a bit confusing.
(I a practitioner is best to tell this but he won’t so all the homeopaths out there can you clear this thing)

Best answer:

Answer by Gary Y
The “C scale” means the substance is diluted by a factor of 100 at each stage. 30C means 30 stages.

The “X scale” means the substance is diluted by a factor of 10 at each stage.

Therefore a 12X dilution is mathematically the same as a 6C dilution, but they will be of different ‘potencies’ due to the frequency of ‘succussion’ and ‘trituration’ which is carried out at each stage.

A 30C dillution is a dilution ratio of 10 to the power of 60; this is beyond the molar limit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avogadro_constant ) so the remedy will almost certainly not contain one single molecule of the original ingredient. Analogy: a 30C remedy would require giving two billion doses per second to six billion people for 4 billion years to deliver a single molecule of the original material to any patient.

A 200C dilution is a dilution ratio of 10 to the power of 400. Consider that there are only about 10 to the power of 80 atoms in the entire observable universe, you should get the idea of just how ludicrous this is.

I hope this helps.

See:

EDIT: I forgot to include that homeopaths claim the more dilute the remedy is, the more potent it is. 200C is way more potent than 20C (so they claim). I kid you not.
