Paying For a Weight Loss Program Versus Developing Your Own

Share

Are you interested in losing ?  Whether you would like to improve your health, improve you appearance, or do both, you may be interested in finding a to use. When it comes to weight plans, you will find that you have a number of different options.  Two of your most common options include for a or your own.

If this is your first time attempting to seriously, lose weight, you may be wondering whether you should develop your own plan, also commonly referred to as a , or pay for one. One of the best ways to determine which weight loss plan you should use is to examine the pros and cons of each. A few of the most influential advantages and disadvantages to developing your own weight loss plan, as well as paying for one are outlined below.

When it comes to paying for a weight loss plan or a , you will find that you can do so locally or online.  If you choose to participate in a local or plan, you will likely meet in a centralized location.  Many times, you just get together every week or two.  There are some where you can exercise onsite though.  Should you choose to join an online weight loss program, you will likely have online meetings or discussions with trainers or other weight loss program members, either on a message board or through emails.  You should also have access to healthy recipes and easy to do exercises.

One of the many advantages to paying for a weight loss program or a weight loss plan is that you are often given a professional plan.  Many times, the individuals or trainers in charge of running these programs have training or firsthand experience with losing weight.  This often eliminates trial and error, as many have already learned what works and what does not work with weight loss.

In all honestly, the only downside to paying to join a weight loss program or a weight loss plan is that you have to pay to do so.  With that in mind, however, you should be able to find affordable weight loss programs and plans, both locally and online.  Although it is not guaranteed, many people find the most affordable help in the form of online weight loss programs or online weight loss plans.

As for developing your own weight loss plan, there are a number of advantages to doing so.  One of those advantages is that you can customize your weight loss plan and program to you. For example, if you were allergic to milk, you could work your allergy into your weight loss program, where as a paid weight loss plan or program may not do so.  You can also customize your workouts to yourself. This is great if you are obese and unable to follow many workout videos, which seem like they are designed for those who already in perfect, shape.

Another one of the many advantages to developing your own weight loss plan to follow is that it is fun to do. You also have a number of tools at your fingertips. There are a number of websites and magazines that you can get weight loss information from; information that you can use to create your own weight loss plan to follow.  Some individuals have said that creating their own weight loss plan to follow makes them more excited about the process and more likely to see the plan all the way through.

The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many that you may want to take into consideration, when trying to determine whether you should develop your own weight loss program or join a paid weight loss program.  Many individuals have reported starting their own weight loss program and then later joining a paid one if they didnt get the results that they were hoping for.

Hcg Diet Plan Questions Answered

Share

Thomas asks…

Do you have to eat exactly what is on the hcg diet plan to lose ?

Do I have to eat exactly what it says to eat? Or can I just keep my calories at 500 a day eating other stuff?

Chloe Adisson answers:

All over the counter HCG products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011
Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real HCG in them but most a synthetic derivative of the hormone.
Anyone that lost weight did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned.
The HCG acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for HCG is to increase fertility in both men and women.
The FDA will most likely allow the sell down of product and then put in a full blown ban with fines for failure to comply later in 2011. The FTC will most likely start fining companies for fraud and false advertising sooner.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
You will put all the weight back on as soon as you stop the calorie deficit. The HCG is irrelevant.

Lizzie asks…

DR. A.T.W. SIMEONS,HCG Diet Plan?

Just finished reading his article on the HCG diet plan and was wondering what is your opinion on it?
Is it just another fad diet plan or is it a real deal?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Actually i have a friend who is doing this. This is day 7 for her and she has lost 9lbs. The problem with this diet is there are a lot of fakes out there..like any other diet. You must be strict and serious about this diet to lose weight. What it does is get into the deep fat tissue that has been there for years and it feeds it to your body. That’s why you only need to eat 500 calories while you are taking the protocol. Your body makes up for the rest of the calories you aren’t actually consuming. I am going to try it as soon as she emails me info on buying. You do not need a prescription. You can go to a doctor for it but it costs way more than it should…if you’d like i can email you info on it when she sends me info…email me if you want more zumbrunjacqueline17@gmail.com

Mandy asks…

what foods are allowed on the hcg diet plan?

i want to try it dont really know how to cook :(

Chloe Adisson answers:

The HCG diet is a starvation diet, and throws hormones into the mix. It’s not safe. It’s not healthy. And it has little chance for long term success.

Instead, exercise, and eat healthy.

Betty asks…

What happens if you dont follow the diet plan for th HCG diet completely.?

Will you still loose some weight?

Chloe Adisson answers:

No, it’s the diet that leads to , HCG contributes nothing.
Stephen Barrett, a retired psychiatrist who operates quackwatch.org, says, “The bottom line is there is no reason to think the product works.”

Even experts in the supplement industry say the products aren’t legal and don’t work. Andrew Shao of the Council for Responsible Nutrition, an industry group, says HCG is “not considered a legal dietary ingredient and therefore cannot be sold as a dietary supplement. I am not aware of any scientific evidence that supports its use when taken orally.”

Because and rendered ineffective, he says. He says the products are mostly sold over the Internet, so it’s difficult to track sales.

Susan asks…

what is meant by hcg diet plan?

what are the advantage of taking the diet? Does is reduces the fatness?. If it reduces fatness please explain.

Chloe Adisson answers:

A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet!
All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011. Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC several months ago. They carry three brands of hcg drops and not one of them has any hcg in them. The salesman in fact agreed when I mentioned it. They contain “similar hormones” or amino acids. Sort of like I’m going to sell you this Toyota Prius but it is really a Ford Focus but we’re going to put a price tag on it that says it is a Toyota Prius. Excuse me?
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant. Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few months ago.

The bottom line here is the exploitation of the law allowing a MD to prescribe an approved drug for a use other than what it is approved for. The FDA will step in someday.

So the question is are you willing to risk your health based on testimonials, not research, and statements from doctors profiting in this all cash business?

Hcg Diet Side Effects Questions Answered

Share

Linda asks…

Will the HCG diet ruins the way my body shed pounds?

I usually lose fat in my stomach and other places but not in my butt. Which I love! Usually with diets and exercise I lose fat everywhere while my butt grows… I dont know how that works, genetics I guess . Anyway , Fall semester was a though one for me and I gained a lot of and I want to try the HCG diet just for 30 days with healthy eating and exercise to get a push on my weight lost process. I’m worried that the hormones or whatever is in it might mess up the way my body sheds fat ( I.E stomach first, then other parts and in the most extreme case of weight about 2 but no more than 4 inches from my butt yay.) what do you think? will HCG ruin my proportions? should I shed these pounds the old fashion way for my figure’s sake? Might 30 days of HCG mess with how my body works? what are the side effects of that diet anyways?

Chloe Adisson answers:

There is little evidence that the HCG diet works, and if you decide to take the drop (pill) form, don’t expect it to work at all. The drops would not be effective as this method the bio-availability of this product is virtually zero.

Additionally, don’t expect to eat healthy on this diet. When on an HCG diet, you are told to consume a very low calorie diet of about 500 calories. This is why the diet works. I could put you on a candy diet, and if you only consumed 500 calories, you would drop weight.

In all honesty, if you intend on doing a very low calorie diet, you are better off with an appetite suppressant than a chemical that really doesn’t work and is insanely expensive.

As far as your original question, regardless of what supplement you take, your body loses weight according to genetics and will not change.

John asks…

Have you done the HCG Diet?

So I’m thinking about doing the HCG diet. I have a few questions.
1. Have you done this diet before? & what were your results?
2. How old do you have to be to do this diet?
3. Did you feel sick or tired? Or what were the side effects of this diet?
4. I am 170 & i wanna be 150, how many days should i do this diet to lose 20 pounds?
Also, add anymore information you think i should know before starting this diet, ANYTHING will help.
Thank you a ton in advance (:

George asks…

Does the HCG diet really work? Is it safe?

I’m looking into trying the HCG Diet! I need feedback! Is it safe? What are they side effects? What’s the best website to purchase it? Does it really work? Please Help me figure it out. I have tried everything. I would like people who have really done it and knows what they are talking about. Thanks!

Chloe Adisson answers:

It is not an easy diet. If you’re expecting to take the HCG & magically lose your weight… You’re in for a huge surprise. You have to be militant to the diet in order to get results. You cannot cheat without dire consequences.

I just finished a 40 day round (to get the baby weight off) and lost 25lbs. My mom is on it & has lost about 30lbs in 30 days. My aunt has had great results too.

You really need to research it. Read the book Pounds & Inches. It’s the original diet. If you decide to do it, you’ll want to find a reputable company to get the HCG from. Do not get it from overseas. And I wouldn’t advise getting it from anyone advertising as an answer on here.

Ken asks…

Does the HCG hormone increase chances of becoming pregnant?

i do not wanna hear any bullshit about how the hcg diet is a scam or doesn’t work, because it is the only diet that has ever worked for me and i love it, but i am married and my husband and i are trying to get pregnant, he is getting back from deployment soon and i’ve been on the HCG diet off and on sense august, i looked up hcg side effects online and one was “increase chances of conception” and multiple pregnancy… could this be true? i’m also taking prenatal vitamins to make my hair grow, but are my chances of getting pregnant higher or significantly increased because of the hcg drops i’m taking?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Ive done the HCG diet many times over the past8 yrs,and YES !! I have gotten prego very quick…..i believe this is very true. Do you get a positive preg test when you take hcg shots?

James asks…

Has anyone completed the HCG diet?

I am curious about the diet? Did you have any side effects? Did you do the injection or the oral drops? Any information (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Not many. People can lose weight, but the loss isn’t due to either taking or injecting HCG. There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a weight loss strategy.

Scientists have actually investigated this “miracle cure for obesity.”
Not only is the diet no more effective than calorie restriction alone, the HCG also doesn’t affect hunger or other more subjective factors of dieting.

Even experts in the supplement industry say the products aren’t legal and don’t work. It doesn’t matter which brand, they are all out there just to take your money so it doesn’t matter which lotion you use.

Steven asks…

hCG diet drops, questions about losing ?

Ok, i’m 18, 5′ 6″ and I weigh 180, I’m wanting to lose 40lbs.. If i take the hcg drops do the 500 calorie diet, and i’m lifting weights and walking. How much weight will I be able to lose in the first week??

Has anyone had success with doing the drops?

Chloe Adisson answers:

According to the “protocol” for this diet you are supposed to do minimal exercise with such a low caloric intake.
A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet!
All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011. David asks…

What would happen if you drank soda or milk with the hcg diet drops?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Why are you drinking soda if you are diabetic?
Please throw the bogus HCG drops out thank you.

Joseph asks…

What lotion is it ok to use while using the hcg diet drops?

My sister said lotion wasn’t even necessary but I have really dry skin I need the name of any lotion that I can use

Chloe Adisson answers:

I’m doing the HCG diet right now following the 21 Day from http://prohcgdiet.com As per the instruction I got, you can use lotion and make up during the HCG protocol. With all of your personal care and beauty products, you need to check the ingredients and avoid any products the contain food oils. Most solid deodorants contain castor oil, which is not allowed…. Currently I am using Pantene products for the hair. I changed my lotion to Neutrgena oil free face lotion but use this for hand and body lotion as well. I changed my soap to liquid Zest. I did not change my shave gel either. No issues that I can see and I get all products at Wal-Mart.

Donald asks…

HCG diet drops. Is there a difference in strength cause on ebay theres lots of different prices?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Better no to waste your money.
“500-calories per day is severely restrictive! In fact, it is not enough calories to support normal brain function. Your body will compensate by using stores of glycogen, protein (muscle) and some fat, which lowers your resting metabolism. Before you can lose true weight, you will be so irritable, lightheaded, and cranky that you’ll reach for whatever food you can get your hands on and have a field day.

There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a weight loss strategy. The FDA has required all marketing and advertising of HCG to state the following: “HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or ‘normal’ distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.”

When is the best time to start the HCG drops diet?

I heard its best to wait until after your period to start the drops so you can get a full 21 days of it in your system. Is this true or can you start the drops anytime?

All of the drops are bogus based on a sampling by the FTC. If you read the label it will state the product “does not contain any hormone” or contains a “similar amino acid”

Susan asks…

Is this supposed to happen with the hcg diet drops from GNC?

Ok, so I’m 13. I started the hcg diet two days ago, on Sunday. I did the 2 loading days, and actually lost 2 pounds since Ive started. Today, about 1:00, I weighed myself, right after lunch, and I had gained weight. will it go away tomorrow morning?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Why are you on a diet at 13?

Mark asks…

what do you think about the HCG diet drops?

i need real testimonies! i want to try this diet i heard it was very successful, i heard good and bad things about it. i also did my research and it proves me rite on how successful it is.

Chloe Adisson answers:

My sister and I ordered the couples so we could split the price and we only had to pay $65 each so that was a great deal to me. I started the diet on March 26 and its is my 5th day and I have already lost 6lbs. The first two days(out of the 5) were gorging out on all my favorite food and I only gained 1 lb . You really have to stick to the foods that are required. The 3rd day was really hard I was so hungry but it is getting easier each day. I am very pleased with the results and I cant wait to weigh again in the morning. I have been on diets all my life and failed at each one of them. I started out at 215 but now I am down to 209.So actually I have lost 6lbs in 2 days . I don’t know how I made it the first two days but I have and I am not giving up. It is too soon to know if the drops are what is really working or the 500 calories. All I know is I am losing weight!

Lizzie asks…

Doesn’t the HCG diet drops come from pregnant women?

They make the drops and shots from the hcg hormone found in the urine of pregnant women.
If pregnant women put on weight during pregnancy how would that hormone make you lose weight?

Chloe Adisson answers:

All over the counter HCG products were banned as fraudulent by the FDA three weeks ago.
I’m not buying the Hcg makes just baby stuff.
Why do so many women have trouble losing the extra pounds added during pregnancy?
Why do they have extra pounds after pregnancy if the Hcg tells the body to release stored fat supplies?
Give me a break!

Thomas asks…

How do i know if my hcg drops are real?

Ive been hearing about most hcg drops containing little to no hcg in them. Is there a way to test them? I think you can test them on a pregnancy strip. If that is true i dont have any.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Luke -when are you going to give it up?

I’m looking for people who have tried it to tell me their review on it and where they purchased it from. There are alot of online scams so it would be nice to know where you bought your successful bottles of it and if it was injections or drops.

Chloe Adisson answers:

No

Mark asks…

How do you predict the HCG drops will work for me?

I’m considering taking the HCG drops for about 1-2 months… Please don’t tell me they won’t work, I’ve heard way too many people say they do. Anyway, if you weigh more do you loose weight faster? I weigh 225 (yea I know, I’m a hippo :P ) so how much in the timespan would one predict that I’d lose?

Hcg Diet Side Effects Questions Answered

Share

Paul asks…

Been on the HCG diet? Any side effects?

I’m on it now, have not suffered any side effects as of yet.Have lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks…and only belly fat! Check it out on the web…lots of info there.
Naturally everything has to be just right to be on this diet.Mine is in a gel.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Have not heard of this one yet, but I do know HCG is the hormone that is secreted when a woman is pregnant. HCG is what a pregnancy test detects. Also, increasing levels during pregnancy is what causes morning sickness . So I would only conclude that you would feel sick to the stomach, be hyper sensitive to smells and crave pickles. LOL

Jenny asks…

HCG Side effects? How have you liked it?

I have a low thyroid from time to time and am on medications for keeping my heart rate normal. I have concerns about the HCG diet drops since I have these issues. Have you had any bad side effects? Good things to say about it? Have you been able to eat somewhat normally? Would like public opinion and not just web stuff…unless you think I need web stuff.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I had the same concern regarding hcg diet side effects like you a few days ago. So I made a call to ask for support (FYI I bought my drops prohcgdiet.com) and got the answer within minutes:

The side effects of HCG use are uncommon. The HCG side effects one will have to keep an eye out for include the onset of headaches, irritability, restlessness, slight water retention, tenderness of breast tissue, swelling of the injection sight, and depression. There are some rare, severe side effects as well which include the development of ovarian hyperstimulation in females. The latter condition requires immediate medical treatment and is accompanied by the following symptoms: tremendous pain in the region of the pelvis, the swelling of feet, legs, and hands, abdominal pain, abdominal swelling, difficulty breathing, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, a diminishing of urination, and gain. If a user of HCG products notes any side effects it is recommended that he or she cease using the products immediately and that he or she seek out the assistance of a physician.

Thomas asks…

does hcg have side effects?

if you hace copd should you use the hcg diet and does it have side effects

Neither explanation justifies the in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight.

John asks…

does anyone know anything about the HCG diet?

Just looking for info on the HCG diet, and possible side effects.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I’ve done the HCG diet and lost 20 pounds in 23 days. I don’t personally know much about it but the company I buy it from is very knowledgeable and they respond quickly to any questions. Just go onto their website http://www.skinnybunz.com/ and go to their contact us page and send them any questions you have.

Betty asks…

has anyone tried the HCG diet? How did it work for you? were there any side effects that you exp. or know of?

Chloe Adisson answers:

I have been on the hcg diet for 5 weeks now and have lost almost 20lbs. There are no negative side effects after the first week (being hungry and headaches). It’s the BEST hunger suppressor I’ve ever tried. I’m hardly ever hungry. If you’re really serious about losing weight, I’d say look in to it. It’s working for me and several people I know that are doing it too. Don’t listen to people that have never tried it. How would they know what the side effects are?
