The HCG Diet Plan is the Answer to Weight Loss Problems

Share

Article by Official HCG

With so many people suffering from obesity in this country, the number of diet plans and supplements on the market borders on the ridiculous. It seems that hardly a week can go by without at least one new product or plan hitting the market. With this in mind, one might wonder what it is that make the any different or more effective than all of the others or why it is worth investing your money in after you have tried so many others that have failed.

Let’s start with a little of the history behind the HCG diet. During his time studying tropical diseases in India from 1931 to 1949, Dr. Simeons was also studying the effects of malnutrition on expectant mothers. At the same time he was conducting a study on disorders of the pituitary gland and patients suffering from obesity. This study led him the conclusion that those who suffered from a disorder of certain regulatory systems in the human body would become obese no matter how they ate.

In Dr. Simeons’ treatment of his obese patients, he found that by giving them a low dose of HCG or Hormone Chorionic Gonadotropin their body would began to utilize their extra body fat instead of their lean muscle tissues as long as they were also fed a carefully prepared calorie restricted diet. This hormone is produced by the fetus in a pregnant mother and is present in the mother’s urine.

Over time it has been found that HCG is required to regulate the hypothalamus gland which in turn is what controls our metabolism and whether or not we are fat or skinny. The is that when we are young our bodies have plenty of these hormones, but by the time we reach adulthood the supply is depleted. With the HCG you will be taking HCG drops as a supplement to replace what your body is missing and to force the hypothalamus to use up the fat that has been stored in your body when you reduce the amount of calories you are taking in.

The HCG diet is a three phase program; the phases are loading, maintenance and stabilization. Most people love the loading phase even though it only lasts 2 days. You start your day off with 10 HCG drops under your tongue three times each day, leaving them there for 15 minutes. You then get to gorge yourself on all of your favorite foods, eat anything and everything you want as long as you drink as much as half to a full gallon of water.

In the next phase you will be cutting your calorie intake to a very strict 500 calorie diet and the same 10 HCG drops under your tongue three times per day. You will continue to do this until you reach your weight goal. At which point you will be able to move on the third and final phase. Here you will be wrapping up your 500 calorie diet and ending your use of HCG drops. You will need to be on the drops for at least 21 days in order for them to completely reset your hypothalamus.

The maximum time frame that you will be taking the HCG drops is no more than 45 days, after which you will be able to take four week off from your 500 calorie diet and eat normally while avoiding starches and refined sugars. You can then use the diet as needed to maintain your weight. Average weight loss is going to vary from one person to another but is usually in the neighborhood of 40kg or 90 pounds. This is considered by many to be the perfect diet plan for the obese person as it is designed to restore the hypothalamus and the body’s ability to burn off the extra fat that is causing the person’s obesity. During the diet after day two you will only be taking in 500 calories, but your body will be using up 2,000 and shedding the excess weight as the HCG hormone triggers the metabolism.

If you are tired of struggling with your weight and wasting your time and money on worthless diet plans, the Official HCG Diet Plan by Dr. Simeons may be the to your dreams. This diet plan has helped thousands shed their excess weight and keep it off so that they can lead a happy, healthy life.

Detoxify Or Die Questions Answered

Share

Betty asks…

What’s the deal with the loss questions?

It seems like everyone attacks dieting with lectures on anorexia and bulimia. I just read about someone wanting to reduce their caloric intake to between 300-400 calories a day and she only got one actual , the rest were comments “You’re going to die.” Granted, the question seemed extreme, and there was more desperation behind it than anything else…but if you consider the alternative…obesity is just as deadly. Atherosclerosis, Myocardial Infarction, Diabetes..and the list goes on and on. Overeating is just as serious, if not worse. Then, when you consider the countless websites that talk about “fasting” for 30 days on WATER ALONE for weight loss and body detoxification, how can you justify what’s healthy and what’s not? Starving yourself for thirty days is acceptable if you’re doing it to detoxify your body…but cutting your caloric intake down is anorexic? It was my understanding that your body had three sources of energy…glucose, glucagon, and fat. Once your body is starved of glucose and glucagon, it turns to its fat store, and you lose weight. EVENTUALLY, your body will eat away at its muscles, but not before the fat..Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not anorexic or bulimic, nor do I approve of such behaviors. I just see people seeking being shunned for it. I’m just trying to understand why.
I’m not looking for dieting advice either. I don’t have a weight .

Chloe Adisson answers:

Haha. You sound really really educated about this kind of stuff.

I think people are being criticiced for seeking diet advice because in my expierence with Yahoo Answers alot of the people are Underweight already and still they want to lose more weight. When you thing about it there are 11 and 12 year olds on this site wanting to know if the Master Cleanse or drinking grapefruit juice all day will help them lose weight.

And usually people are not shunned for asking for diet advice when they actually need it. Like if there overweight or obese, buy yeah that happens a lot. People tend to lecture people on stuff like that because it’s preventable. Just like obesity is, however there are more questions that pertain more to low weight.

Just my opinion :]
And yes, I agree with everything you said.

Donald asks…

Who would do this?

By Detoxing and Rejuvenating your Mind, Body and Spirit,

1. You allow yourself to heal from any toxins that have been held inside your body,
2. You allow your Mind to release any harsh feelings or Sad emotions,
3. You allow your Spirit to become open and free. Once you ahve Detoxified and Rejuvenated your Mind Body and Spirit,
4. You can finally Allow yourself to enjoy real Homeostasis.

(Homeostasis: Optimal Well being, Optimal Health, At a point in your life when all is ok, and righht with you Physically, Mentally, Emotionall, and Spiritually.)

Stress can make any disorder worse. May it be Mental Emotional or physical. Stress is when you worry way too much about things that can be fix with a little effort on your own personal part.
Stress has been proven to cause serious health risks, such as heart disease, Endurance , Fatigue, Emotional Imbalances, etc.
There are options to dealing stress and weight loss. Such as Detox plans and rejuvenation Plans, as the one I have enclosed.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Good idea but…. I love to eat and coul not get past the water fast

Laura asks…

When did people start using the word “toxin” to refer to waste?

When I was in middle school, “toxin” meant something that could reliably be used by an animal, in small doses, to kill another animal. Or otherwise something that was fatal in small doses. “Toxic”, too, had an implied lethality.

Now, it means any substance that can cause discomfort. Also, when people talk about using diuretics such as tea to flush waste from the body, people say they are “detoxifying” and “flushing toxins” from their bodies.

The way other people use that word and the way I use the word are incompatible, since if there were enough toxins in your body for a cup of green tea to have a noticeable effect on their level, you would be long since dead and should probably be walled off so that other people don’t touch you and die as well.

So when exactly did this change?

Chloe Adisson answers:

At least in the UK, it seems to have started in the early 1990s.

I had a look in NewsBank (the UK and archive), and until around 1992 there were several dozen hits in papers a year, all using it in the trad scientific sense. Then over about a decade it creeps up to 2000+ hits, either using it to refer to general pollutants or (mostly) the fictitious poisons that “detoxifying” is alleged to remove.

Richard asks…

Wouldn’t it be great if a kind of penicillin for mental health were developed?

In physical health, before antibiotics, people with infections had to rely on their immune systems to fight certain diseases. Many times nature didn’t do such a good job, and people got really sick or died. But now that we have antibiotics, you just take a pill for a few days, and you’re totally cured. Modern medicine has done better than the body’s natural disease-fighting abilities.

In mental health, we’re not so advanced yet. People with “infections,” in the form of , suffer for years or lifetimes – depression, OCD, addictions, even suicide. The cures are still relatively primitive. Talk therapy can take a long time to resolve problems. Medications like antidepressants control the symptoms, but they don’t really cure the underlying emotional issues.

Wouldn’t it be great if someone developed a way to quickly detoxify the brain? I’ve imagined that if someone could study brain waves of what happens in therapy, and then stimulate the brain in the same way, maybe people could have quick and lasting relief from their emotional problems. Nowadays some doctors do use electroconvulsive therapy, but that’s sort of like hitting the reset button on a computer, and the problems can come back. I wish there was a more controlled, painless way to free people from painful emotional conditions for good.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Were working on it.

Jenny asks…

Should I start smoking pot again?

PLEASE READ BEFORE ANSWERING!

I’ll try to make it short and sweet. PLEASE HELP!

Any ways. I’ve always had problems socially. I never really fit in due to my awkward personality and horrible social graces. I just had a disposition people didn’t like as a young girl. Growing up I had friends but being so problematic we parted ways or we’d just stop talking. I started smoking pot when I was 15, roughly a month before my 16th birthday (I am 21 now) and at first it made me a giggling, happy, social butterfly and I enjoyed it alot. But later on it started making me paranoid and giving me anxiety and it made me think of death and just became a scary , unenjoyable thing. It made me paranoid about people and very self-conscious about how I looked. But for some reason I kept doing it. It came to a point where I could only smoke pot alone because around other people I couldn’t enjoy myself cause my anxiety would go out of control. Alone I didn’t get too anxious but I still felt some anxiety there. It gave me horrible anxiety, I’ve ALWAYS had anxiety, but I feel pot amplified it. The reason I would keep smoking pot is because I wanted it to be the way it was when I first started and I thought maybe I’m just going through a phase with it and eventually I’ll start enjoying it again, and once in a blue moon it would give me that good feeling so I was willing to roll the dice and smoke pot just to possibly get that feeling again….

Long story short. I am a loner with no social skills. I dont know where I went wrong to end up like that but I feel the pot didn’t help and got my anxiety out of whack.

I want to work on becoming social and less of a neurotic anxious freak. I quit smoking pot but i’m thinking, the weed already did its damage… What good will it do to stop now?

If I keep off weed will I detoxify? Will all those weird paranoid thoughts I have unravel and will my brain go back to normal?

Will quiting really help me become more “normal?”

Chloe Adisson answers:

Well, you shouldn’t smoke pot in the first place. It only gives you a false sense that you’re happy and okay and that your life isn’t like it really is. Quit smoking it. Maybe if you start joining more clubs and really, really, trying to socialize, you might feel it lot better. Good luck!

Aloe Vera Benefits Questions Answered

Share

Joseph asks…

What are the health benefits of Aloe Vera?

If aloe vera is really a cure for diabetes, would you try?

:

The Health Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera gel is often thought as having one specific function: cooling and helping to heal sunburns. In fact, Aloe is an amazing plant with a wide ability to aid in the healing process, to protect, moisturize, and even extend life. It was used in ancient times for medicinal purposes, and its relevancy has not diminished today. Aloe’s usefulness continues to grow as scientists study its properties and possible applications.

Aloe Vera is a cellular regenerator and has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effects. These properties alone contribute to Aloe’s place as one of nature’s healthiest products. WorldwideHealth.com’s Health Library lists magnesium lactate, an itch inhibitor, in the minerals contained in the plant. Therefore, in bringing relief to insect bites, acne, sunburns, rashes, and other topical conditions, Aloe makes sense.

But what about the less frequent uses of Aloe? Should Aloe be considered as an addition to and lifestyle? Aloe can purportedly do so much more than soothe irritated skin. Taken internally, it can be used as a laxative and to destroy certain bacteria or parasites in the intestines. Unsubstantiated claims include that it can help heal ulcers and settle a queasy stomach. There are a dozen uses for Aloe that have been integrated into modern alternative medicine, and scientists have been able to study some of these claims.

Dr. Timothy E. Moore’s research on Aloe and dental health at the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) describes gel from the plant as having the ability to heal, control the accumulation of fluids, and reduce pain. He has also found that in denture patients, aloe can reduce inflammation and discomfort caused by fungi and bacteria. Other uses include post periodontal surgery and on cracks and lesions found inside and outside the mouth.

In a study performed by the Department of Physiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, lab rats were given a 10% greater life span by ingesting Aloe. The animals showed lowered occurrences of various diseases including arterial thrombosis and leukemia. In addition, no adverse side effects were found in the rats on a diet that included Aloe.

While anyone considering alternative medicine to treat conditions should consult their physician first, Aloe may be a viable remedy for various ailments. Through observation and further tests, scientists have proven that the healing effects of Aloe extend beyond merely soothing sunburn. Future studies should bring credibility to other claims of Aloe’s diverse medical benefits.

Sandy asks…

What are the benefits of aloe Vera gel over just using the leaf?

After getting a sunburn I was curious as to whether a manufactured aloe Vera gel is better than cutting open an aloe Vera leaf and using just that.

Chloe Adisson answers:

It has sothering effect over skin and reduce dia skin pores along with their cleaning.leaf gel is natural may be have some infectious/allergent material, while manufactured is sterlized one.these leaves may bbe eaten after cooking.

Herbal Treatment For Adhd Questions Answered

Share

Daniel asks…

What is the best for ADHD? Need help quick?

I am badly disorganised. I loose interest in things so fast. It is having a very undesirious effect on me.Pls if you know any herbal remedies that do work, do let me know

:

There are none. ADHD(Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) is something you’re born with. There are medicines to dim it down but they have a real effect on your personality. That’s why I chose not to take them. But I tried them for a while, and it didn’t work out. I practice mental restraint and self control.

William asks…

Herbal Treatment for ADHD?

Is there an herbal treatment for ADHD? I stopped taking the medication 3 years ago when I went all organic and natural. I’ve been taking fish oil and ginkgo biloba for a year and though it was helping, but my boss asked me today if I have ADHD, guess it’s not helping as much as I though.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) :-

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that becomes apparent in some children in the preschool and early school years. It is hard for these children to control their behavior and/or pay attention.

ADHD – CAUSE

Most substantiated causes appear to fall in the realm of neurobiology and genetics. This is not to say that environmental factors may not influence the severity of the disorder, but such factors do not seem to give rise to the condition by themselves.

ADHD – SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

The principal characteristics of ADHD are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. These symptoms appear early in a child’s life. When the child’s hyperactivity, distractibility, poor concentration, or impulsivity begin to affect performance in school, social relationships with other children, or behavior at home, ADHD may be suspected. But because the symptoms vary so much across settings, ADHD is not easy to diagnose. This is especially true when inattentiveness is the primary symptom.

There are three subtypes of ADHD recognized by professionals. These are the predominantly hyperactive-impulsive type (that does not show significant inattention); the predominantly inattentive type (that does not show significant hyperactive-impulsive behavior) sometimes called ADD—an outdated term for this entire disorder; and the combined type (that displays both inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive symptoms).

HOW DIAGNOSIS IS DONE for ADHD?

Because everyone shows some of these behaviors at times, the diagnosis requires that such behavior be demonstrated to a degree that is inappropriate for the person’s age. The diagnostic guidelines also contain specific requirements for determining when the symptoms indicate ADHD. The behaviors must appear early in life, before age 7, and continue for at least 6 months. Above all, the behaviors must create a real handicap in at least two areas of a person’s life such as in the schoolroom, on the playground, at home, in the community, or in social settings. So someone who shows some symptoms but whose schoolwork or friendships are not impaired by these behaviors would not be diagnosed with ADHD. Nor would a child who seems overly active on the playground but functions well elsewhere receive an ADHD diagnosis.

To assess whether a child has ADHD, specialists consider several critical questions: Are these behaviors excessive, long-term, and pervasive? That is, do they occur more often than in other children the same age? Are they a continuous , not just a response to a temporary situation? Do the behaviors occur in several settings or only in one specific place like the playground or in the schoolroom? The person’s pattern of behavior is compared against a set of criteria and characteristics of the disorder as listed in the DSM-IV-TR.

HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT for Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Homeopathic medicines are known to have deep effect on human psychology and have been found effective in various mental and psychological disorders. The focus of homeopathy is not to treat the isolated symptoms of ADHD but to treat the child as a whole. Not only the symptoms of ADHD but also the general physical and mental constitution of the patient, past medical history, medical history of parents, information about pregnancy and vaccination – all are used to find the probable cause in a given case and based on the final analysis a remedy is chosen for a patient. The following medicines may help in the treatment of ADHD -

ADHD – CONVENTIONAL TREATMENT

The conventional treatment primarily uses a class of drugs known as stimulants (amphetamines).

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

You can join various support groups. Behavioural therapy, Social-skills training, Parenting skills training, Psychotherapy can be useful for the patient and the family.

Mary asks…

i am looking for herbal treatment for a child with adhd?

i am pretty sure my 5yr old has adhd, but i do not want to put her on medication. i am looking for a natural treatment, herbal or vitamins

Chloe Adisson answers:

Wow, I THOUROUGHLY disagree with some of the postings for this question. Ritalin is a form of speed (a stimulant) and has side effects like any drug. There are many books out there on natural cures for “ADHD”. and exercise are in any child’s healthy normal development. Remove any artificial sweetners, stay away from artificial colorings, eat more natural raw fruits and vegetables. A certified organic product is your best bet. STAY AWAY from soda pop. I myself, was diagnosed with attention deficit and I was never “medicated” for it. I am a full believer in natural medicines. Get your child adjusted by a chiropractor, this may or may not help the ADHD, but it will allow your child to function well physically.

Robert asks…

has anyone tried herbal treatments for adhd or for concentration . i have tried listol .?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Adhd is wayyyy over diagnosed, chances are your lacking an enzyme in the gut that helps regulate the serretonin in the brain. Ask your doctor about it and see if he can prescribe something to help the intestines.

Other than that, do a food diary…see what makes your symptoms worse and eliminate them. I do not reccomend herbal treatments, but i have heard dandilion tea helps open the blood flow to the brain.

Laura asks…

Does anyone know of any herbal/alternative treatments for ADHD in children???

My son is 10 and his doc wants him on medication(s) but I’m looking for something more herbal or alternative, like maybe diet changes or something like that. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!!!!

Chloe Adisson answers:

There is quite a lot of information about the use of pure, unadulterated essential oils in working with children with ADHD. My friend’s grandson uses a number of essential oils and has gone from a “resource” class at school to being integrated into a ‘regular’ classroom with success re his behaviors and learning abilities. Her grandson uses pure, unadulterated essential oils and blends (not cheap oils that have been solvent distilled and might contain solvents that you don’t want near your child’s brain) like Vetiver and Brain Power. You can find these at my site at http://tinyurl.com/ykxyuk

The following is found on-line:

“CASE STUDY
DR. TERRY FRIEDMAN, M.D.

This case study was conducted for two years, from 1999-2001. Using Children between the ages of 6 to 12 years. Twenty subjects not diagnosed with ADD/ADHD were used as the control group. Twenty subjects with a confirmed diagnoses of ADD/ADHD were used as the study group.

Each group was pre-tested using a baseline evaluation with real time EEG and The T.O.V.A. Scale.

The essential oils chosen for the case study were Lavender, Vetiver, Cedarwood and Brain Power (a blend of Frankincense, Sandalwood, Melissa, Cedarwood, blue Cypress, Lavender and Helichrysum.)

The oils were administered in this fashion: one of the oils were administered by inhalation 3 times a day for 30 days. An inhalation device was also used at night to administer a continuous inhalation of oil.

The subject then inhaled when needed, about 3 times during the day when they began to feel “scattered”. The inhalation of the oils proved to settle the brainwaves back into normal patterns and improved their scholastic performance and behavioral patterns.

Each subject was tested on each oil for 30 days and then reevaluated by testing. Then another oil was used for 30 days and reevaluated, until each of the oils had been tested. Lastly, oil combinations were used, each for a 30 day period. (Brain Power with Lavender, with Cedarwood, and Vetiver.)

The final results were: Lavender increased performance by 53%, Cedarwood increased performance by 83% and Vetiver increased performance by 100%. ”

Hope this is helpful.

Mellow Out

Share

Without a doubt, getting older happens to all of us. It’s an inevitable organic process that cannot be stopped; although, many attempt to slow it down or hide it as I have witnessed while working in oral surgeon’s offices. Men and women alike make appointments to receive anti-aging injections; yet, all the while wanting to keep it a secret to the outside world including their spouses and / or partners. On the other hand, I’ve frequently heard countless others saying they refuse to give aging the time of day and that the lines on their faces are badges of honor, indicating a challenging yet great life!

The fact of the matter is aging is a holistic progression of sorts, affecting both the inside as well as the outside of the body; and, for as often as I hear people claim that they’re not worried about the effects of aging, the fact of the matter is, most of us are doing something to lead a healthy life for as long as we can. This my friends on some level is an anti-aging program.

Think about it. You may not give any attention to the wrinkles developing around your eyes or across your forehead as other people do; however, if you’re changing the way you eat, have taken up exercise, and / or are taking medications for one of those conditions we get as we get older, you are, in fact, honoring an anti-aging protocol BECAUSE you want to feel good and live a healthy life for as long as possible.

With this in mind, I’m wondering, ‘Do your medications honor your physiology all the while being an effective course of action that rectify the issue or are they merely methods of symptom relief while hastening the aging process?

Here’s an interesting correlation between medication, sleep and aging: Sleep is an important facet of life. Getting the appropriate amount keeps the heart healthy, lowers stress, improves memory, boosts the immune system, assists with controlling , and reduces the chance of diabetes and mood disorders. In other words, it enhances the quality of our life. In contrast, lack of sleep not only causes us to look and feel older, it also increases our risk for developing diseases associated with aging such as high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and heart disease. As a matter of fact, the medications prescribed for these conditions can potentially interfere with our ability to sleep which only adds to the dilemma. If it’s absolutely necessary to take these drugs, oils (& other modalities) can assist with regulating the hormonal system which does grow to be imbalanced due to the meds. Conversely, if insomnia is the only concern at this point, then stimulating and resetting the system with supplements, oils in addition to other holistic modalities such as massage and acupuncture are effective options over treating the symptoms with an over the counter pill or two.

Medications such as Lopressor, Prozac, Depakote, Rhinocort, Nasonex, Flonase, Inderal, Ocupress work to support our bodies with mood disorders, blood pressure, and immune system issues. What’s more, they rob us of the melatonin necessary for the regulation of our sleep cycle as well as the rise and fall of other hormones.

Melatonin equals sleepiness; rising at night, peaking in the morning, and receding throughout the day and the reason so many people use the hormone to help them fall asleep, overcome jetlag and adjust to shift changes. Due to extensive studies throughout the late 1990′s, research is suggesting that melatonin is not only very helpful in slowing down the aging process but it’s highly valuable with reducing the risk of cancer. There are also further indications that this hormone is an effective libido enhancer as its production increases during puberty.

Regardless, melatonin is primarily manufactured in the body with only minimal amounts found in food. There are no recommended daily allowances at this time simply because ‘we’re’ not quite sure just how much can be taken without triggering side effects; although, one to three milligrams per day seems to be well tolerated by most people. Therefore, if needing to take a supplement, take small amounts and avoid taking in the morning. Some side effects caused by getting too much are headaches, dizziness, irritability, abdominal cramps as well as transient feelings of depression (be careful ~ anti-depressants will rob your system of melatonin and…….)

All in all, sleep supports our body, keeping all systems in check and is reasonably manageable. The breakdown exists when we attempt to correct a natural system with something other than nature. Maybe it’s time to try something like (essential oils Frankincense, Sandalwood and Cedarwood stimulate the Pineal Gland where melatonin is produced), Acupuncture, Massage, Energy Work or another modality to assist you with regulating and restoring an out of balance system; and whether you’re worried about getting older or not, consistently getting a good night’s sleep assures you of a healthy and active life for as long as possible.
