Aesthetic Surgery Questions Answered

Carol asks…

Is there anything softer than silicon for breast implants?

I’m not really up to date with the latest in aesthetic-oriented surgery, especially the type focused on women, so I wanted to know if there’s a material that’s softer and more natural looking than silicon based implants. I heard something about a material called “gummy bear” but I’m not entirely sure about it. Any leads?

Chloe Adisson answers:

I didn’t think silicone implants were legal again. Huh. Well, i know the “safer” and “softer” implants are waterbased. I think the best would be saline because it is soft, and if you get into an accident, and it pops, it wont kill you like silicone will.

Sandra asks…

Can anyone recommend me a surgeon in Lafayette who gets me circumcised? Mostly for aesthetic reasons?

I wan t to get circumcised but I’m new in Lafayette and I’m looking for a surgeon who can perform the surgery according to what I want

Chloe Adisson answers:

How old are you? Circumcizion as an adult is strongly discouraged.

James asks…

What’s the best way to find a specialist in rhinoplasty?

I’m in Austin, TX and looking for a plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. Are there any associations that “matter” more than others? For example, a friend said to only consult with surgeons who are members of the ADA; but many of the plastic surgeons I’ve found online aren’t, but there’s many who are members of the “American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery” and others similar to that. Do these matter? Are some “credentials” better than others, if so, which do I pay attention to? Thanks!

Chloe Adisson answers:

What you want to look for is a board certified plastic surgeon certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A good surgeon will not just try to talk you into surgery for the sake of taking your money either. They will try to find out the reasons for your decision for a consultation and tell you all the risks and of the surgery it’s self. Check with the ABPS for a certified surgeon in your area.

Jenny asks…

Is there a procedure, short of major jaw/dental surgery to fix a fairly pronounced under-bite?

I don’t experience any problems other than aesthetics. Has anyone here had the surgery? What was the expense, discomfort and recovery time? Were you pleased with the results?

Chloe Adisson answers:

My underbite was really bad in childhood, and orthodontia helped considerably (and might have helped more if I had done the things consistently as I was told).

But if you are an adult, then I’m pretty sure the surgery is the only option because that’s the only way to change the size of the mandible. I’m sure it hurts! After all, when I had an impacted tooth removed, that really hurt, too! But once the recovery is complete, you will probably be glad you did it.

Go for some consultations with surgeons in your area. Ask for references and if there are any patients whom you could discuss the experience with.

Michael asks…

What is the effect of cosmetic surgery on society?

What are its effects in terms of ? Culture? and Aesthetics?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Unrealistic expectations for beauty, materialism, shallow relationships, less respect for life (casue it aint always beautiful),

Lime Essential Oil – Its Brief History

Share

Nowadays, we often purchase things we don’t knew it’s background, as long as it is beneficial to us, that’s enough. oils have been a part of us in many ways, especially when we want to experience in depth refreshments for our body and mind. There are quite numerous oils being offered on the market and one of the famous ones is the Lime Oil.

Lime Essential Oil obviously belongs to the Citrus , it may not be that as common with other oils that belongs to the citrus but its properties are the same with the lemon oil. The lime tree can grow on up to fifteen feet high and with green colored fruits and about half way smaller than the fruit of the lemon tree, with white colored flowers and was seen growing abundantly in Asia, particularly on the Southern part, but then due to some unknown reasons, this tree is already seen growing with abundance at Mexico and Italy. You can be captivated by its sweet, citrus aroma. This can be extracted from its plant thru cold expression or steam distillation. This has been famous ages ago for its ability to instill cleanliness and purity to the mind and the whole being of an individual. This lime oil has some chemical contents like linalool, a-pinene, limonene, borneol and geranyl acetate. Oil extracted through cold expression can be phototoxic while the oil extracted with steam distillation is proven to be non-irritant and non-toxic to skin.

The lime essential oil has been proven to blend well with Ylang ylang, neroli and lavender as well. And by tradition, lime oil has been used in treating dyspepsia. Just take note that those oils taken through cold expression can never be used on topical since it is phototoxic and irritant, when you want to use this oil in massaging or applying on skin, better be sure to purchase the lime oil which is taken through steam distillation to avoid accidents and damages.

So when you are about to purchase essential oils, make sure you are buying the right one and please be careful with the extreme diluted oils which are not good and usable anymore. Dilution on oils is good but in minimal to moderate amount, too much dilution may cause the oil not to be that effective anymore.

Sandy asks…

How much does this kind of aesthetic surgery cost in Korea ?

I intend to travel to Korea to have my nose and my cheekbones fixed. I want my cheekbones to be lowered (I heard that the doctor will cut small parts of the bones to make the cheekbones lower) and a plastic surgery for my nose. How much do these things cost in Korea (in US dollard) ?

Chloe Adisson answers:

It will be alot cheaper there than the US dont know how much but I think the US is the most exspensive place to have certain type of surgery

Chris asks…

Is there a good site to ask stuff about aesthetic surgery?

When I try to clarify my doubts here, people only tell me plastic surgery is bad. Like I cared.

So my question is: Where on the net do people actually share knowledge, as opposed to hiding their ignorance by giving mediocre pseudo-answers like “you need other kind of help”?

What’s a good site to ask my aesthetic surgery questions and get actual answers?
Thank you.

Chloe Adisson answers:

I had a tummy tuck last year, and spent MANY HOURS researching/asking questions on a public forum called MakeMeHeal.com – It is has a list of many plastic surgeries and you can learn all the “good, bad, & ugly” to a particular procedure from people who’ve actually done the surgery, or considering it…It was a Godsend to discuss the physical & emotional changes we go thru before & after undergoing such a big decision. – I really think you’ll find the info. You’re looking for there. :)

Paul asks…

Who is the new owner of Highlands Ranch Center for Aesthetic and Maxillofacial Oral Surgery?

I heard that Dr. Curry DDS MD has retired and there is a new owner of Highlands Ranch Center for Aesthetic and Maxillofacial Surgery. I work close by in Highlands Ranch Colorado and just wanted to know if any one had more information about this dental office.

Susan asks…

Has anyone heard of or been to Aesthetic Breast Surgery in Geelong?

I am going there next week for a consultation and the following week will be possible surgery. Just wanted to hear some feedback other people that have been there?
I have not mentioned anything about skin problems in my question – Hvteww – open your eyes and read! and stop wasting time answering my question and bother someone else who cares.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Sandra asks…

What do you think about aesthetic plastic surgery?

Could be necessary in some cases I guess(eg,an accident),but personally I don’t think I would ever consider of getting breast implants…

Anyway,what do you think?

BQ:Have you read Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Not the BQ: I did a marketing research project in college about a company whose main source of revenue is breast implants. I chose the company, and I don’t remember my motive. I do remember beginning and ending…. Wait! I do remember now. I have a friend who invented a medical product, and I knew generally about , but not the medical supplies , so I wanted to learn about it to see what kind of potential his invention had.

And… It just happened that this company was also in the business I was interested in (something to do with men), though plastic boobs were the cash cow.

Probably 19 of 20 times they’re ‘installed’ I think they’re terrible, and the project didn’t change that opinion. The 20th time maybe there’s some justification, but it’s not size. One of my classmates liked them on the grounds that, “He’d had good experience with them.”

BQ: I haven’t. Which one is the best?

What Do Most Illinois Medical Insurance Plans Exclude?

Share

As the newly slated requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) introduce new plan stipulations, scores of Americans remain miffed by how these regulations will impact coverage. Aside from the premiums, doctors’ visits, and other vital care co-payments, consumers tend to overlook what a basic Illinois plan covers. Whether it’s HumanaOne, Blue Cross Blue Shield or Aetna, all Illinois insurance policies feature a litany of notable exclusions.

Maternities. Depending on the policy, certain Illinois policies do not cover the delivery charges or hospitalization costs for bringing a newborn in the world. While some policies include care for midwives and OB/GYN care, new families are often caught off guard with hospitalization costs.

Injuries or ailments incurred by illegal actions. Don’t rely on any Illinois health insurance policy to cover the cost of any emergency care admission that is the byproduct of a failed suicide attempt, accident resultant of driving inebriated or an illegal substance overdose. Also, accidents that are the outcome of a dangerous activity, such as bungee jumping, hang gliding, or propelling from elevated facades are often deemed excluded .

Sexual reproductive enhancements. In the realm of sexual performance, reconstruction and transformation, most Illinois health insurance plans do not cover the cost of sexual transformation. While most health plans cover medications prescribed by one’s physician, diagnostic and surgical procedures for sexual dysfunction are predominantly excluded benefits.

According to one’s health scenario, it’s vital to develop a checklist of service prerequisites. During the shopping process, evaluate the cost of finding insurance. Remember to calculate any out-of-pocket exclusions to the premiums with all required services included in the cost.

Prescribed medications home health care or hospice care. In recent years, certain Illinois health insurance policies may or may not include prescription and home health care. In an effort to keep health plans economical, some plans are strictly for prescribed medications. Correspondingly, some Illinois health insurance plans cover home health care, and custodial care. After the PPACA is in place, the law mandates that Americans will have to set aside funds for such services.

Even though the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will soon require that preventative medical services are free of fees, Illinoisans should still confirm which health benefits are included in each policy. While some plans offered via Humana One, Blue Cross Blue Shield features plans with preventative care benefits, not all health plans have revised their terms of service.

President of Illinois Life and Health.com Michael Novelli recommends that consumers peruse all policy details. Prevalently, consumers obsess over the monthly rate and are surprise to learn that specific medical services such as maternal care are not a covered benefit.
