Is the varicella vaccination considered a homeopathic medicine?

Share

Question by lovemusicpoem: ?
I was recently reading up on the different types of administration ( i.e. homeopathic, allopathic, osteopathic and naturopathic) and by the definition of homeopathic (the use of the diluted disease to cure the actual disease) shouldn’t the (and most others too) be as a homeopathic ?

Answer by GaryR
Your description of varicella (Chicken Pox) immunization is approximately correct. They don’t give you a “diluted” form of the disease; they give you an attenuated form. The actual Chicken Pox organisms are modified (by heat or chemicals) so that they cannot reproduce or cause the disease, and they are injected into your arm. Your body recognizes the disease organisms as an invading organism, and starts to produce antibodies specific to the pathogens. In approximately 21 days or so, your body will have a in operation, and it would then quickly overcome any actual invasion of varicella organisms in the future, the full-fledged disease developing and protecting you. The protection lasts for as long as the body keeps producing antibodies, or more specifically, remembers the “code” for the structure of the antibodies so it can quickly reproduce them if/as needed. There are differing opinions as to how long this protection lasts for varicella. It used to be thought that the protection was for life, and it probably is for a majority of individuals. However, this lifetime protection might only be found in individuals who have actually had Chicken Pox, not in those simply vaccinated against it. It appears that it can reappear in individuals in later years as an eruption of the painful skin condition known as “Shingles.” Everyone seems to be different; will have it and others not, so the protection seems to be variable, too. Not everything in medicine is 100%. There are ALWAYS exceptions to EVERYTHING.

Does anyone know the exact homeopathic medicine for preventing gray hair?

Share

Question by : Does anyone know the exact homeopathic for hair?
Graying of hair is hereditary on my father’s side. Though I am 25 now and no white hair has sprung up, but I want to take the for precaution. If someone knows the exact medicine and the dosage, could you please state the same.
Please don’t give other home , I have known and tried a lot of them including curry leaves and amla mixed in coconut oil. Thanks.

:

Answer by Head This Way
The sebaceous gland produces sebum which provides nourishment and luster to the hair. The basic nutrition for the hair has to come through the blood stream, which means that you have to eat right if you want your hair to be in good condition. The graying of hair could be due to a lack of vitamins, a faulty diet, anxiety and stress. It can be attributed to a lack of vitamin B, iron, copper, and iodine in the diet. Stress and worries can interfere with the supply of essential elements needed for the hair to grow. It can also be due to heredity, an unclean scalp, or a mix up in the hormones.

What are the remedies? In spite of the various reasons for the graying of hair, it is heartening to know that home remedies will help regain normal hair. Indian goose berry is the most efficient natural remedy in preventing or repairing graying hair due to its high content of vitamin C. Cut the fruit and dry it in the shade for 10-15 days. These pieces can be boiled in coconut oil until a dark residue remains. You can use this oil to massage your scalp. This oil will nourish your scalp and invigorate hair growth. Warm a little oil everyday and use it to massage your head. You can eat one or two gooseberries everyday to enrich your body for the nutrients to reach the blood stream and hence the scalp.

You can use curry leaves and prepare a herbal oil similarly. Curry leaves are rich sources of iron and vitamins. You can include curry leaves in your diet in the form of chutneys or add it to butter milk. This helps to prevent further graying of hair. You can also try to make oil ribbed gourd in the similar way by drying it in shade and heating it in coconut oil. This oil will nourish the hair roots and restore the normal hair. You can also break open a vitamin E capsule in the oil. This will nourish and give you healthy hair. Another remedy you can try is to apply butter made of cow’s milk on your scalp. As the nutrients for hair should also be supplied through the blood stream, you should also include butter in your meals. You can also eat a cup of yogurt before meals to help hair grow better.

Use a good quality shampoo with Indian gooseberry, and lemon as its ingredients. For silky and strong hair you can try a mix of 1tsp of fenugreek seed powder in yogurt, apply it on your hair, and wash after half an hour. This will condition and nourish your hair. In addition, eat a well balanced diet with greens, vegetables, fruits, nut, and dairy products. Proteins and calcium are essential for strong and lustrous hair. Brush your hair well to increase blood circulation. Smile your worries and stress away and see your hair grow.

Q&A: What is best medicine homeopathy or allopathy?

Share

Question by : What is or ?
i want to which is the allopathy or for asthma. And tell me which is better.

:

Answer by CoolPotato
Oooo as a general rule, if someone has a life-threatening emergency or anything sudden, then allopathy is the best approach. For something that is chronic, allopathy does not always offer very good solutions and in these circumstances, it is normal to look at alternatives. I cannot see how you could possibly manage asthma without allopathy, but there may be alternative treatments which could reduce the occurrence of attacks or lessen their severity.

I have heard that acupuncture can help asthmatics but then again, you need to search well in order to find a good specialist.

Can I change to Homeopathy treatment from Allopathic one for TB?

Share

Question by Harris: Can I to treatment from one for TB?
I have been taking for the treatment of pulmonary(lung) TB for the past 1 month. However, there are some side-effects which include loss of appetite. Also,I am unable to swallow the tablets and so take it in powdered form, which some say might not be correct. I would be very comfortable taking Homeopathy medicines. What should I do ?

:

Answer by gwynedd_gal
No. No. No. No.

First, let me say, I am sorry you got this , but it is curable.

The tuberculosis bacteria is a very nasty, tricky bug. It hides from the immune system and is very hard to get rid of. It’s deadly, and if you go off the drugs, the bugs left in you can become resistant to the treatments and you will be having and spreading resistant TB, which is really bad. Then when you really need treatment, it won’t work and you might die.

The drugs are rather severe, but you don’t have to take them forever. Just for a number of months until the TB is cured. The doctor will test you and tell you when you can stop.

The formulation of the drug (powdered or tablets) is actually very important to how the drug works. Ask your doctor to suggest what to do if you find you cannot swallow tablets. It’s really vital. Some drugs are coated with waxes and other ingredients so that they skip the stomach (where they’d be destroyed) and be absorbed in the intestines, so powdering them can change how they work in your body.

I can’t stress enough how IMPORTANT it is that you stay on your course of treatment. If you have loss of appetite, drink a nutritious drink like Ensure. You may have to force it down, like medicine. Eat highly nutrious things like eggs, meats and cheese to get a lot of calories in a small package. It’s not fun, but this is only for some months until you cure the TB.

Homeopathy works for some things but NOT for which are contagious and deadly. You would be being very horrible if you stopped taking the drugs and spread this terrible disease. It took years for medical science to come up with a for TB, which killed millions around the world, and it’s a disease of young people and is a slow, painful death, too.

Talk to your doctor about this, and if he or she won’t talk to you, find some kind of counseling in the public health system as this is very important for you and everyone else.

What is the difference between 200X and 200C for Homeopathic remedies?

Share

Question by HereAndNow: What is the and for Homeopathic ?
What is the difference between 200X and 200C Homeopathic remedies when being prescribed for a sinus infection?

:

Answer by oldtimekid2
“X” indicates a 10 time dilution so 200X would be a 1:10 dilution done 200 times.
“C” indicates a 100 time dilution so 200C would be a 1:100 dilution done 200 times.

That being said, the difference between them as far as the impact would be that a 200C would have a bigger impact on the body than a 200X because Homeopathic products stimulate the immune system responses similar to the idea of vaccinations, but work in a different way. The skeptics don’t like to accept the idea, but scientific tests have been done (with heavy water and spectral analysis, IIRC) that show that water actually can retain a “memory” of what was in it. I can’t find the link with the research off hand, but I’ll post it if I find it.

What are some homeopathic remedies for meningitis?

Share

Question by : What are for ?
My 4 year old son is deathly ill with meningitis and is way too expensive for us to afford.. I’ve been looking into homeopathy and have read it’s a safer, and less expensive alternative to mainstream . What are some for meningitis?

answer:

Answer by shevek1248
There are none. Homeopathy does not work any better than a placebo, and if you attempt to use it to treat your son’s meningitis, he will die. And then, God willing, you’ll be put into prison for negligent homicide.

Try some actual medicine. It works.
