Diet Pill Advantages & Disadvantages

Share

So you too want to get slim.  We may have different purpose or cause in losing but we all do the same thing:  can be explained as an advised set of food that we need to take (or not take) in order to lose .  We have heard every possible type of diet, either from internet or through friends.  Trying each and every diet plans available but sometimes, most of these doesn’t work.  There are just some diet plans that may work for a person but not for the others.  It is just unfortunate that some may not be able to find a diet that will work for them so they ended up getting sweaty inside gyms to shed off the excess fats and .  The main problem is that diet and exercise work together to achieve .  Exercises without proper diet will not bring you anywhere or if it has outcome, it may be very minimal that we will find ourselves giving up on losing .  That’s why some are desperate enough to try .

Diet pills sell in capsules that contain fat-burning components for the body.  These diet pills started to be bought with doctor’s prescription.  Usually, diet pills are being advised to be taken by people who are over weight with other medical conditions that require them to lose weight.  Aside from this, there are also some people with medical problems that may counteract with diet pills.  Further doctor’s examination to the patient condition is needed.

But today, there are some diet pills which are already available OTC or over the counter.  So aside from the people who medically need diet pills, there are others who are already consuming these pills without prescription just for the sake of losing weight.

After consuming these diet pills, people who bought these were shocked with the side effects that they bump into.  With a doctor’s appointment, the patient will know what the side effects of the pills are and they can do something about it.  These side effects include palpitations or rapid heart rate, hallucinations, severe allergic reactions, hypertension, chest pains, and gastrointestinal disturbance.

The gastrointestinal disorder is may be the most popular side effects of some if not most of the diet pills in the market.  You will feel stomach pains and rumbling, but worst of all, faecal incontinence.  Some of the user of these pills has reporting the feeling of “if they need to go, it must be NOW.”  Most cannot control this and sometimes, the rumbling will wake them up early in the morning and will find their beddings stained already.  According to the manufacturers of these diet pills, it is an effect when they have consuming food that full of fats while taking in the since the fats are burned and it will be released by the digestive system.

See?  While consuming diet pills, you still have to managing your diet or food intake.  So if you are just an ordinary individual with no medical conditions that require taking diet pills, just stay with the conventional way of losing weight:  diet plus exercises and be patient in seeing the result.

Paying For a Weight Loss Program Versus Developing Your Own

Share

Are you interested in losing ?  Whether you would like to improve your health, improve you appearance, or do both, you may be interested in finding a plan to use. When it comes to plans, you will find that you have a number of different options.  Two of your most common options include for a weight plan or developing your own.

If this is your first time attempting to seriously, lose weight, you may be wondering whether you should develop your own , also commonly referred to as a weight loss , or pay for one. One of the best ways to determine which weight loss plan you should use is to examine the pros and cons of each. A few of the most influential and to developing your own weight loss plan, as well as paying for one are outlined below.

When it comes to paying for a weight loss plan or a , you will find that you can do so locally or online.  If you choose to participate in a local or plan, you will likely meet in a centralized location.  Many times, you just get together every week or two.  There are some where you can exercise onsite though.  Should you choose to join an online weight loss program, you will likely have online meetings or discussions with trainers or other weight loss program members, either on a message board or through emails.  You should also have access to healthy recipes and easy to do exercises.

One of the many advantages to paying for a weight loss program or a weight loss plan is that you are often given a professional plan.  Many times, the individuals or trainers in charge of running these programs have training or firsthand experience with losing weight.  This often eliminates trial and error, as many have already learned what works and what does not work with weight loss.

In all honestly, the only downside to paying to join a weight loss program or a weight loss plan is that you have to pay to do so.  With that in mind, however, you should be able to find affordable weight loss programs and plans, both locally and online.  Although it is not guaranteed, many people find the most affordable help in the form of online weight loss programs or online weight loss plans.

As for developing your own weight loss plan, there are a number of advantages to doing so.  One of those advantages is that you can customize your weight loss plan and program to you. For example, if you were allergic to milk, you could work your allergy into your weight loss program, where as a paid weight loss plan or program may not do so.  You can also customize your workouts to yourself. This is great if you are obese and unable to follow many workout videos, which seem like they are designed for those who already in perfect, shape.

Another one of the many advantages to developing your own weight loss plan to follow is that it is fun to do. You also have a number of tools at your fingertips. There are a number of websites and magazines that you can get weight loss information from; information that you can use to create your own weight loss plan to follow.  Some individuals have said that creating their own weight loss plan to follow makes them more excited about the process and more likely to see the plan all the way through.

The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many that you may want to take into consideration, when trying to determine whether you should develop your own weight loss program or join a paid weight loss program.  Many individuals have reported starting their own weight loss program and then later joining a paid one if they didnt get the results that they were hoping for.

Aesthetic Surgery Questions Answered

Share

William asks…

Where do you draw the line on body modifications?

What kind of body modifications are ethically acceptable, and which are not? If having surgery performed on a child born with a cleft palate is acceptable to improve his appearance, is it also acceptable to have a circumcision performed for purely aesthetic (not religious) reasons? Is it ok to have a if your nose has been broken and it’s impairing your ability to breathe? How about a for a 16 year old who thinks her nose is too big? And what about liposuction? Is liposuction an intelligent option for the severely overweight? How about for someone who exercises and watches their but can’t get rid of those love handles or thunder thighs?

Is it going too far to have a breast lift after carrying and breastfeeding three children? Is it going too far to have a breast augmentation to look hotter? How about getting DDD’s to make money as a stripper? Are botox injections advisable for an actress? How about for a soccer Mom?

Where would you draw the line, and why?

:

When u look like a barbie doll all shiny and plastic…aka Pamela Anderson

Mark asks…

I was born with double eyelids, but when I grew older my eyes drooped down which makes my eyes appear smaller?

Should I get double eyelid surgery to correct it? I am a 16 year old Asian who was naturally born with big eyes but later on have small eyes now. Do I have an excuse to have plastic surgery? I’m not trying to be another race nor am I ashamed of being Asian. I personally find bigger eyes more aesthetic and prettier than smaller eyes. My sister was born with big eyes too and was lucky enough to stay that way. Her eyes didn’t droop down but mine did, which really sucks.

answers:

You shouldn’t care what people say or think. If getting the surgery is what you really want the do it! :D After all, it is YOUR body.

Paul asks…

Would surgery be best or are there other options?

I’m 15 years old and i am lucky enough to have tailor’s bunions on both of my feet. They can be painful when wearing shoes, even the ones designed especially for feet like mine. I can cope with the pain, my main problem I have is how disgusting my feet look, even when i wear other shoes it’s so disgusting to have a lump on one side of your foot. I understand you can have surgery to remove them but can’t they just grow back again? and surgery would be very painful with months recovering and i’m not sure it’s worth it. However I really don’t want to carry on with these disgusting feet, are there any methods/ treatments that i can have that don’t involve surgery not to cope with the pain but for aesthetic purposes?
Thanks

Chloe Adisson answers:

Feet are not the most attractive thing in the world. Why are you not under a doctor’s care and if so, why don’t you have an answer to this problem. If I had a lump anywhere I would want to get rid of it. I don’t think you would be down as long as you think and once over its over.

Sandra asks…

Military ?

Please do not awnser this if you do not know the answer to it and you are just making assumptions.

A friend of my husband claims that there is a military benifit of free cosmetic surgery. He said that he did not want to use it and so he was allowed to extend it to his spouse. The surgery she is getting is not medically neccessary, completely for aesthetic reasons.

quite frankly, this sounds way to good to be true. . .but if it is true I would like to learn more about it.

So has anybody heard about this? I googled it and things came up about free cosmetic surgeries but nothing that I would take seriously.

Im not sure if I would want to get free cosmetic surgery, I worry I would get what I paid for. lol. but I have been considering cosmetic surgery seriously for a very long time, and I think this could be something to look into. or not. just curious.

Chloe Adisson answers:

No. Only medically necessary surgeries are covered by Tricare.

Electives are purely on a space availalable basis and have a butt ton of regulations and rules as to what is covered and what is not. Currently few eleictrives are covered as the primary reason for offerthem( keeping surgeons skills up to date) is not a factor as they are getting plenty of practice on injured servicemembers.

Mandy asks…

?

I had braces for a couple of years when I was younger, but I still have an overbite (my dentist just did the rubberbands on the braces method and I hardly wore them..I regret it now).So now, I’d like to get jaw surgery to fix it(I believe this is the only option since I am 20 and done growing..but let me know if you know of any other methods that have worked). I’m doing it not just for aesthetic reasons, but my jaw often hurts, pops, and it’s hard to chew. Do you ALWAYS need to have braces after the surgery? I assume you wouldn’t need them for very long? If they are required, can you get the kind that are behind the teeth so they don’t show? How long does it take to recover from the surgery? I would plan on doing it over my next winter break -so I’d have about a month off from school/work. Also, what is the approximate price of it? I’m still under my parent’s insurance, so do you think that would cover some of it? Let me know! I just want some input before I go to a consultation:)

Chloe Adisson answers:

Hey there, I actually had jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery in medical terms) between my junior and senior year of college. I had TMJ problems, migraines, and an open bite, therefore surgery was necessary.

I wore braces for approximately 6 months before surgery and 4 months after surgery. Of course, at 20 years old this wasn’t ideal, but I’m thankful I had the operation.

Each person is different and each surgery is different, so during your consultation the doctor can provide you with more specifics.

I had both upper and lower jaws broken and was essentially “wired” down for 6-8 weeks. My oral surgeon used very tight rubberbands instead of actually wiring me completely down.

It wasn’t the most pleasant of situations: not eating solid foods, swelling, weakness, losing excessive , pain, etc.

I was under my parents insurance and it paid for it completely except for $1000.

Good luck–it’s not as bad as you think!

Also, I look very different now from before my surgery, so be aware of that “side effect”.

Aromatherapy Massage Questions Answered

Share

Donald asks…

Any ideas for a name for a holistic massage and aromatherapy business?

Acutally accredited in aromatherapy along with therapeutic massage and want to rebrand. So I’m looking for a name.

answers:

Knot a Problem

Unwind

Sandy asks…

Can Sesame Seed Oil (carrier) be used for aromatherapy massage as well as cooking?

Is sesame seed carrier oil for aromatherapy use only and cannot be used for cooking? Or is it the other way around?
And I’ve read that Sesame seed and Hazelnut carrier oil (with drops of essential oil) are best for aromatherapy massage, well which do you think is BETTER?

:

Sesame oil can be used for both, for cooking and as carrier oil.
Different cooking oils are processed to give them a longer shelf life but not sesame oil because of its content of antioxidant substances ( sesamol and sesamolinol formed from sesamolin ).
“It is also highly nutritious, rich in vitamins A, B and E as well as the minerals iron, calcium, magnesium, copper, silicic acid and phosphorus. It contains linoleic acid and alpha linoleic acid as well as lecithin, and this may go some way to explaining its benefit to the brain and nervous system. Like olive oil, sesame oil is considered good for lowering harmful cholesterol levels.”
“Sesame oil is immensely popular in India where its use in oil massage (abhyanga) is part of everyday life and an important aspect of Ayurveda. It is the favorite oil for massage as its chemical structure gives it a unique ability to penetrate the skin easily, nourishing and detoxifying even the deepest tissue layers. In fact it is said to benefit all the seven tissues (Dhatus). It is the best oil for balancing Vata but can also be used sparingly for Pitta and Kapha.”
But sesame oil may overpower a blend if not diluted with another carrier oil.

George asks…

What are your favorite oils to use during aromatherapy massage or for muscle aches?

Chloe Adisson answers:

My favorites are lavender, lavender-vanilla, eucalyptus, jasmine-vanilla, peppermint-eucalyptus-lavender, wintergreen, rose-geranium, and grapefruit-bergamot.

Arnica oil is a great muscle pain relieving base oil to add aromatherapy to.

Maria asks…

Should I get a seaweed wrap or an aromatherapy massage?

Just wondering which is more enjoyable…I love the thought of losing a few inches with the wrap but I won’t be doing it every week so i’m not sure it’s worth it. As for the massage I have had those before and think they are dine but I have a hard time relaxing for those…

Chloe Adisson answers:

Because you say you would like to lose a few inches you should go with the wrap plus it makes your skin feel really soft and gives it a nice glow.
You don’t have to do it every week you can do it every 2 weeks even every 3 weeks is fine.
Its also relaxing.

Chris asks…

How would you treat a new client using aromatherapy and massage?

The client uses oils at home but they tend to be irritating to her skin. She may also be pregnant.
On advising the client of the contraindications she has since carried out a test and is not pregnant.
Any suggestions as to how i would compose a consultation and treatment plan for her.??

Chloe Adisson answers:

Never, EVER use any essential oils (EO) on pregnant women, not even the so-called “safe” ones like lavender etc. And warn your client against their use at home and until the child is 6 or 7 years old.

Sorry, but that’s the way it is.

The long-term effects of EO’s has not yet been fully researched. EO’s are extremely powerful and act on the hormone system and the nerve system. Some are clearly neurotoxic and abortive, but even the “safe” ones can have long-term adverse effects on the baby.

What is difficult to understand for most people is that when a person develops MS or another neurological disease at the age of 20 or 30, no one thinks of asking if the mother used EO’s during the pregnancy or around the baby/child. No one would ever think of linking the two – and yet … New research is pointing that way, therefore we must exercise all caution until we are sure.

Keep off EO around children (not even burned in a room in the same house) until the age of 6 or 7 when the hormone and nerve systems are better developed and can no longer be damaged.

EO’s are very powerful. Cats are very sensitive to them and can die of exposure to some EO’s.

EO’s in the same room as homeopathic remedies contaminate them and destroy their effect. They are so volatile that they penetrate inside the tube of homeopathics and you might as well throw away the contaminated remedies as they become unsafe.

It’s good that this particular client developed a skin irritation to EO’s. She may well be saving her baby from neurological damage before it’s even born.

You will become one of the best-liked and most successful aromatherapists if you warn pregnant women and women with babies and young children and are able to explain the dangers to them.

Wishing you and your clients all the best!

Hcg Diet Side Effects Questions Answered

Share

Linda asks…

Will the HCG ruins the way my body shed pounds?

I usually lose fat in my stomach and other places but not in my butt. Which I love! Usually with diets and exercise I lose fat everywhere while my butt grows… I dont know how that works, genetics I guess . Anyway , Fall semester was a though one for me and I gained a lot of and I want to try the HCG diet just for 30 days with healthy eating and exercise to get a push on my weight lost process. I’m worried that the hormones or whatever is in it might mess up the way my body sheds fat ( I.E stomach first, then other parts and in the most extreme case of weight about 2 but no more than 4 inches from my butt yay.) what do you think? will HCG ruin my proportions? should I shed these pounds the old fashion way for my figure’s sake? Might 30 days of HCG mess with how my body works? what are the side effects of that diet anyways?

:

There is little evidence that the HCG diet works, and if you decide to take the drop () form, don’t expect it to work at all. The drops would not be effective as this method the bio-availability of this product is virtually zero.

Additionally, don’t expect to eat healthy on this diet. When on an HCG diet, you are told to consume a very low calorie diet of about 500 calories. This is why the diet works. I could put you on a candy diet, and if you only consumed 500 calories, you would drop weight.

In all honesty, if you intend on doing a very low calorie diet, you are better off with an appetite suppressant than a chemical that really doesn’t work and is insanely expensive.

As far as your original question, regardless of what supplement you take, your body loses weight according to genetics and will not change.

John asks…

Have you done the HCG Diet?

So I’m thinking about doing the HCG diet. I have a few questions.
1. Have you done this diet before? & what were your results?
2. How old do you have to be to do this diet?
3. Did you feel sick or tired? Or what were the side effects of this diet?
4. I am 170 & i wanna be 150, how many days should i do this diet to lose 20 pounds?
Also, add anymore information you think i should know before starting this diet, ANYTHING will help.
Thank you a ton in advance (:

answers:

A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet! All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011.
Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC last week. They carry three brands of hcg drops and not one of them has any hcg in them. The well trained salesman even admitted it when I mentioned it. They contained “similar hormones” or amino acids.
Sort of like I’m going to sell you this Toyota Prius but it is really a Ford Focus but we’re going to put a price tag on it that says it is a Toyota Prius. Excuse me?
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant.
Neither explanation justifies the in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight. I am confident the hcg diet has a 95% failure rate just like every other controversial diet plan out there.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few weeks ago.

So the question is are you willing to risk your health based on testimonials, not research, and the statements from doctors in this all cash business?

George asks…

Does the HCG diet really work? Is it safe?

I’m looking into trying the HCG Diet! I need feedback! Is it safe? What are they side effects? What’s the best website to purchase it? Does it really work? Please Help me figure it out. I have tried everything. I would like people who have really done it and knows what they are talking about. Thanks!

Chloe Adisson answers:

It is not an easy diet. If you’re expecting to take the HCG & magically lose your weight… You’re in for a huge surprise. You have to be militant to the diet in order to get results. You cannot cheat without dire consequences.

I just finished a 40 day round (to get the baby weight off) and lost 25lbs. My mom is on it & has lost about 30lbs in 30 days. My aunt has had great results too.

You really need to research it. Read the book Pounds & Inches. It’s the original diet. If you decide to do it, you’ll want to find a reputable company to get the HCG from. Do not get it from overseas. And I wouldn’t advise getting it from anyone advertising as an answer on here.

Ken asks…

Does the HCG hormone increase chances of becoming pregnant?

i do not wanna hear any bullshit about how the hcg diet is a scam or doesn’t work, because it is the only diet that has ever worked for me and i love it, but i am married and my husband and i are trying to get pregnant, he is getting back from deployment soon and i’ve been on the HCG diet off and on sense august, i looked up hcg side effects online and one was “increase chances of conception” and multiple pregnancy… could this be true? i’m also taking prenatal vitamins to make my hair grow, but are my chances of getting pregnant higher or significantly increased because of the hcg drops i’m taking?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Ive done the HCG diet many times over the past8 yrs,and YES !! I have gotten prego very quick…..i believe this is very true. Do you get a positive preg test when you take hcg shots?

James asks…

Has anyone completed the HCG diet?

I am curious about the diet? Did you have any side effects? Did you do the injection or the oral drops? Any information (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Not many. People can lose weight, but the loss isn’t due to either taking or injecting HCG. There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a weight loss strategy.

Scientists have actually investigated this “miracle cure for obesity.”
Not only is the diet no more effective than calorie restriction alone, the HCG also doesn’t affect hunger or other more subjective factors of dieting.

Even experts in the supplement industry say the products aren’t legal and don’t work. Andrew Shao of the Council for Responsible Nutrition, an industry group, says HCG is “not considered a legal dietary ingredient and therefore cannot be sold as a dietary supplement. I am not aware of any scientific evidence that supports its use when taken orally.”

Because HCG is a peptide hormone, it would be broken down by the stomach and rendered ineffective, he says.

Detoxify Your Body Questions Answered

Share

Sharon asks…

What is a good way to cheaply detoxify your body?

A lot of health stores sell liver cleansing and colon cleaning regiments…. but is there a cheaper way of detoxifying your body?

:

Try a 1-3 day juice fast, drink only unsweetened natural fruit and vegetable juices along with plenty of water. Add a little salt especially if you are sweating a lot. Moderate exercise is ok but don’t overexert yourself.

If you feel like you need extra colon cleansing then include prune juice, but be prepared to spend a lot of time in the bathroom getting “cleansed” :)

George asks…

How do you detoxify your body at home?

How do you free your body of all toxins and poisons at home? Does drinking nothing but water and sitting in a sauna do it?

answers:

Karl, it sounds like you have fallen victim to dodgy marketing in dodgy ‘natural health’ magazines or websites. There is a good reason why this stuff is only promoted by non-medical sources – because its mostly baloney.

‘Detox’ has no meaning outside of the clinical treatment of drug addiction or poisoning. Our bodies have evolved to get rid of unwanted substances very efficiently via the liver and kidneys; this function is not something you can improve upon with alternative medicine products, special diets, fasting or saunas. There is no plausibility or evidence to support the claims of alt med ‘detox’ proponents. If you truly have poisonous levels of toxins accumulated in your body, then you would be extremely ill and need a hospital.

At the end of the day, ‘detox’ as promoted in alternative medicine, is both a fad and a scam. Just because you may see ‘detox’ products in pharmacies it doesn’t mean they are valid; pharmacy chains in general don’t care, they are after profits.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detoxification

Lizzie asks…

What is the safest way to clean/detoxify your body?

I’ve seen infomercials for system cleanses and I was wondering if anybody knows how you can clean out your body/digestive tract naturally? If not, then what is the best way to do it?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Just do a plain non fat yogurt and water for a couple days thats wat i do to cleanse when i am not feeling too good or need to drop a couple pounds but i dont know how good it cleans the digestive track

James asks…

How do those foot detox pads work? And do they actually detoxify your body of harmful stuff?

What is that black junk that appears on the foot pads after wearing them overnight? Is that just dirt from the bottom of your feet or is it some chemical reaction that appears on the surface of the pad so it appears as if it came from your body?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Its junk. The reason they turn black is becuase a mixture of vingar and salts are inside of them and it reacts to the oils in your body.

They are a waste of money, look them up on MSN webpage, they did a study of them.

Maria asks…

Is niacin plus a lot of Water and Cranberry Juice enough to Detoxify your body?

If I start taking 100 mg(or a higher doesage) of niacin plus start drinking ALOT of Cranberry jucie and water for around 1 week enough to cleanse your body of THC. I AM trying to pass drug tests but I have approxiamtley 1 week or more before i am tested.

Chloe Adisson answers:

No, it will not help to clean THC out of your system and aside from the water, that’s not going to detox at all.
Niacin is a simple B vitamin that gives a “flushing effect” to your skin… Not to your body. It makes your skin turn red (it makes your skin flush) because it helps with circulation. It won’t burn your intestines (unless you’re highly allergic to it), especially in that low of a dose… But it might turn your skin bright red.
Cranberry juice just helps to make your urine a bit more acidic so it can help to cleanse out a Urinary Tract Infection… It doesn’t specifically detox your body.

I’ve never been entirely full this whole round of VLCD and I want to start maintenance NOW so I can finally be satisfied. Can I start maintenance tomorrow if I’m still hungry??

:

Hi! Even you are on the diet and following the protocol, you mus not starve yourself like eat some just don not make your self eat as much as you want, just simply eat an amount that you’ll cravings will be satisfied, just don’t starve yourself, and besides you have your maintenance.

Has anyone done the HCG diet on higher calories? If so how well did you lose? I am really wanting to try this diet but I am very skeptical on the 500 calories. I have currently lost 30 lbs. on my own by eating healthy and exercising regularly. You may ask why don’t I continue? Well my response is that I have plateaued and I really want to lose another 25-30 lbs. by July if possible. According to all the research done on this diet that is possible but I do not want to hurt my body through starvation. I still exercise and plan on continuing this with the HCG diet. So is I eat around 1000 – 1200 calories and burn over that amount through my workouts how will this measure up with the HCG protocol??? Any advise or suggestions would be great! Thanks! (=

Chloe Adisson answers:

Go with the lower calories if you wish. Never go below 1200 per day.
Hcg is a ridiculous and dangerous phenomenon sweeping the country right now. It will only last until the FDA steps in and prevents doctors from prescribing the hcg for unapproved use. It is not approved for .
The drops are all fake and a waste of time. None contain true hcg but some similar amino acid.
See the two links below before proceeding. You have done so well!
Please don’t fall for the hype and fork over your money to someone selling “hope”.

Susan asks…

The HCG diet and Concerta?

I’m 170 and 5’6. I carry my weight very well, however, I’d like to lose 25 pounds. I’m on the Homeopathic HCG protocol, and I’ve lost a couple pounds this week. As of yesterday, I started Concerta for my very low/mild case of ADD. Loss of appetite is a big side effect with the medicine. I eat 700 calories a day, I’m not starving, I’m never hungry, and I eat two proteins, two startches, and three servings of fruits and vegtables throughout the day in roughly 6 meals. It’s almost as if I have to force myself to eat. If it were my choice, i’d only eat when I was hungry but then i’d be eating only one small thing once a day, and my body would just store it. Eating six small portions a day keeps your metablisim up. How much weight could I expect to lose by september? Anyone on a low cal diet? I’m also doing pilates.
