Linda asks…
Will the HCG diet ruins the way my body shed pounds?
I usually lose fat in my stomach and other places but not in my butt. Which I love! Usually with diets and exercise I lose fat everywhere while my butt grows… I dont know how that works, genetics I guess . Anyway , Fall semester was a though one for me and I gained a lot of weight and I want to try the HCG diet just for 30 days with healthy eating and exercise to get a push on my weight lost process. I’m worried that the hormones or whatever is in it might mess up the way my body sheds fat ( I.E stomach first, then other parts and in the most extreme case of weight loss about 2 but no more than 4 inches from my butt yay.) what do you think? will HCG ruin my proportions? should I shed these pounds the old fashion way for my figure’s sake? Might 30 days of HCG mess with how my body works? what are the side effects of that diet anyways?
Chloe Adisson answers:
There is little evidence that the HCG diet works, and if you decide to take the drop (pill) form, don’t expect it to work at all. The drops would not be effective as this method the bio-availability of this product is virtually zero.
Additionally, don’t expect to eat healthy on this diet. When on an HCG diet, you are told to consume a very low calorie diet of about 500 calories. This is why the diet works. I could put you on a candy diet, and if you only consumed 500 calories, you would drop weight.
In all honesty, if you intend on doing a very low calorie diet, you are better off with an appetite suppressant than a chemical that really doesn’t work and is insanely expensive.
As far as your original question, regardless of what supplement you take, your body loses weight according to genetics and will not change.

John asks…
Have you done the HCG Diet?
So I’m thinking about doing the HCG diet. I have a few questions.
1. Have you done this diet before? & what were your results?
2. How old do you have to be to do this diet?
3. Did you feel sick or tired? Or what were the side effects of this diet?
4. I am 170 & i wanna be 150, how many days should i do this diet to lose 20 pounds?
Also, add anymore information you think i should know before starting this diet, ANYTHING will help.
Thank you a ton in advance (:
Chloe Adisson answers:
A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet! All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011.
Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC last week. They carry three brands of hcg drops and not one of them has any hcg in them. The well trained salesman even admitted it when I mentioned it. They contained “similar hormones” or amino acids.
Sort of like I’m going to sell you this Toyota Prius but it is really a Ford Focus but we’re going to put a price tag on it that says it is a Toyota Prius. Excuse me?
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant.
Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight. I am confident the hcg diet has a 95% failure rate just like every other controversial diet plan out there.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few weeks ago.
So the question is are you willing to risk your health based on testimonials, not research, and the statements from doctors in this all cash business?

George asks…
Does the HCG diet really work? Is it safe?
I’m looking into trying the HCG Diet! I need feedback! Is it safe? What are they side effects? What’s the best website to purchase it? Does it really work? Please Help me figure it out. I have tried everything. I would like people who have really done it and knows what they are talking about. Thanks!
Chloe Adisson answers:
It is not an easy diet. If you’re expecting to take the HCG & magically lose your weight… You’re in for a huge surprise. You have to be militant to the diet in order to get results. You cannot cheat without dire consequences.
I just finished a 40 day round (to get the baby weight off) and lost 25lbs. My mom is on it & has lost about 30lbs in 30 days. My aunt has had great results too.
You really need to research it. Read the book Pounds & Inches. It’s the original diet. If you decide to do it, you’ll want to find a reputable company to get the HCG from. Do not get it from overseas. And I wouldn’t advise getting it from anyone advertising as an answer on here.

Ken asks…
Does the HCG hormone increase chances of becoming pregnant?
i do not wanna hear any bullshit about how the hcg diet is a scam or doesn’t work, because it is the only diet that has ever worked for me and i love it, but i am married and my husband and i are trying to get pregnant, he is getting back from deployment soon and i’ve been on the HCG diet off and on sense august, i looked up hcg side effects online and one was “increase chances of conception” and multiple pregnancy… could this be true? i’m also taking prenatal vitamins to make my hair grow, but are my chances of getting pregnant higher or significantly increased because of the hcg drops i’m taking?
Chloe Adisson answers:
Ive done the HCG diet many times over the past8 yrs,and YES !! I have gotten prego very quick…..i believe this is very true. Do you get a positive preg test when you take hcg shots?

James asks…
Has anyone completed the HCG diet?
I am curious about the diet? Did you have any side effects? Did you do the injection or the oral drops? Any information (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated.
Chloe Adisson answers:
Not many. People can lose weight, but the loss isn’t due to either taking or injecting HCG. There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a weight loss strategy.
Scientists have actually investigated this “miracle cure for obesity.”
Not only is the diet no more effective than calorie restriction alone, the HCG also doesn’t affect hunger or other more subjective factors of dieting.
Even experts in the supplement industry say the products aren’t legal and don’t work. Andrew Shao of the Council for Responsible Nutrition, an industry group, says HCG is “not considered a legal dietary ingredient and therefore cannot be sold as a dietary supplement. I am not aware of any scientific evidence that supports its use when taken orally.”
Because HCG is a peptide hormone, it would be broken down by the stomach and rendered ineffective, he says.

Sharon asks…
What do these things mean with respect to a cosmetic surgeon?
‘Diplomat American Board of Plastic Surgery‘
‘Diplomat European Board of Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery‘ and
‘Member of British Plastic Surgery Speciality Register.’ ?
Are there any other qualifications he/she should have?
Thanks
Chloe Adisson answers:
Your doctor has taken advanced classes in plastic surgery and received those “designations”. They are to indicate to you that she is trained in this area.
1% of all plastic surgery patients have a life-altering complication from the surgery. The best thing you could do is talk to nurses who have operated with this surgeon before..

Laura asks…
What do you think the popularity of plastic surgery says about our culture?
Specifically, regarding the aesthetics of it. I think people who’ve had it are scary looking. For example, have you seen photos of Burt Reynolds recently? His face is stretched so tight that it looks like a rubber mask. How could anyone think that looks good? Isn’t it better to just be old and ugly and normal, instead of looking like a freak? Do Americans just have bad taste?
OK, you all read misunderstood my question. I agree that people have the surgery out of vanity or insecurity. I should have phrased the question like this: Why do people think that it looks good? I am uncomfortable looking at people who’ve obviously had plastic surgery. I think they look freakish.
Chloe Adisson answers:
It reminds me of the Pig People on Twilight Zone.

Michael asks…
is there a medical condition that requires a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)?
i’m a guy that recently had blepharoplasty, purely for aesthetic reasons, but now there is too big a difference from my previous appearance and now for someone to not notice and i didn’t want to be the “fag” that had plastic surgery done, so i was wondering if there was a medical condition that i can use as an excuse for me having the surgery.
Chloe Adisson answers:
My neighbor had eyelid lift for medical reasons because they drooped so much it obscured her vision. She is pretty old though…

Mandy asks…
I’m considering double eyelid surgery. Opinions? Thoughts?
I am a 16 year old Korean girl and I’m considering getting double eyelid surgery for aesthetic reasons but I’m still very reluctant to go for it. Mainly it’s the fact that there’s no going back and the change in permanent. My mother is on board, all that is left is to make the decision. If anyone has any thoughts/opinions on this that would be great
Also if anyone knows of any well known cosmetic surgeons who specialize in this type of thing, that would also be appreciated.
Below is a picture of me,let me know if you think it would suit me:

(I am on the right)
Chloe Adisson answers:
Korean surgery is pro, but it’s not good for you. A natural face is the best. We humans were created by god to look different and unique from every single person on the planet, and i think its a sin to neglect that custom. I find that natural beauties look better than surgery beauties. Surgery beauties generally look the same and they’re not necessarily always prettier by getting surgery. Big eyes with big double eyelids aren’t necessarily that pretty. Some are disgusting. There are pretty people without double eyelids too. Remember also that you are not fully grown yet. Your facial features can change as you age. Your face might get more tight and the skin might pull your eyes down to make them bigger. Like hyunbin. He had really small eyes when he was younger, but he became more sharper, his face wasn’t crooked anymore and his eyes got bigger. Why? Coz he left them alone. A friend of mine had double eyelid surgery and I rofled when I saw him. It didn’t really suit him much.
Everybody is different. Some people might get prettier by surgery, some are just naturally pretty, some grow up to be pretty, some age to be ugly, and some are just ugly. You probably still don’t know how your face is working right now. What mucles are shrinking, what are growing. That is why you should observe your face more and decide later, when fully grown on whether u want surgery or not. I’m currently losing my double eyelids. My eyes used to be almond shaped, but now they’re are more squarer so my double eyelids only survived at the end. But this looks better.
Consider surgery in 6 years time.

Daniel asks…
Should a teenager undergo cosmetic surgery if they are being bullied for their looks?
Is this the answer to bullying ?
A leading surgeon has revealed he has carried out cosmetic surgery on schoolgirls who were being bullied because of their appearance.
Douglas McGeorge, president of the British Association of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, reshaped the nose of a 14-year-old girl from Essex.
He said he had also given expandable breast implants to teenage girls who were not developing at the same rate as others to prevent them being singled out by bullies.
http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=30547
Chloe Adisson answers:
Difficult to answer.
Unnecessary in the moral light, really.
Adults should be setting a lesson for children that image doesn’t matter.
However, I am a teenager myself and sometimes I do wish I could’ve had plastic surgery to stop people bullying me in the past. But I don’t know if that’s just because I was hormonal ergo very dramatic.
As I said, very difficult to clarify a straightforward answer.

Laura asks…
How much weight can you lose taking the hcG diet for 10 days?
Im planning on doing the hcG diet for the next 10 days, and I was just wondering if anybody knew the maximum amount of weight I would lose? Im planning on going to North Carolina next week and I’m going to the beach so I need to lose a few pounds.
Chloe Adisson answers:
It depends on your weight. If you only have a few pounds to lose, like 10-15, then it’ll take longer to lose that amount than if you have over 20 pounds to lose. With the HCG drops, I’m guessing you could lose 7 pounds easy. More if you’re really strict while on the VLCD. Remember you only eat 500 calories a day, no sugar (nor fake sugars like splenda), 200 grams of meat total, 2 fruits, and 1 bread thing. If you want to lose the weight faster, you may want to cut out the bread stick and 1 of the fruits. Honestly, I started these drops 4 days ago (2 days of Phase 1, and now I’m on my second day of Phase 2) and I just got on the scale a few minutes ago and I lost 5 pounds in 1 day! But I have quite a bit of weight to lose so that won’t be the results for everyone. If you exercise at least 30 minutes a day also, you could lose even more than 10 pounds a week. Also, I haven’t been hungry on this diet. The drops help soo much! Good luck and have fun in N. Carolina!

Carol asks…
can doing the HCG diet injections cause a false positive on a pregnancy test?
I have been on the HCG diet for 2 weeks and missed my period. I took 6 pregnancy tests and on blood test and they all came out positive. I stopped taking the injections for a week and still had a faint positive. How long does it take for the HCG to completely leave my system so I can get an accurate pregnancy test?
Chloe Adisson answers:
Yes, that is the hormone your body produces from pregnancy. Lack of nutrition from only eating 500 calories a day will cause a missed period. Also, you can get an ultrasound to prove yes or no. If you were and missed the period because of it, it will show up from the ultrasound.

Donna asks…
Where is a legitimate place to purchase drops for the HCG diet?
I keep hearing about so many peoples’ success using the HCG diet, and am really overwhelmed by all the places you can buy it online! I have read many bad things about the homeopathic HCG drops, such as they don’t even contain HCG.
If any of you are doing the HCG diet, where would you recommend getting the drops from? Are you really having as much success as you thought you would before starting the diet? Has anyone tried HCG platinum from GNC? Thank y’all for your help!
Chloe Adisson answers:
I would recommend getting the drops from http://www.prohcgdiet.com I did the drops from there and lost 16 pounds in 24 days and have kept the weight off for 4 months now.

George asks…
How were your results from the HCG diet?
I just started the HCG diet and was wondering how it worked out for others. If you could include your age, starting weight, end and current weight. & anything else that you would like to include like your hunger effects, etc. Thank you!
Chloe Adisson answers:
I did the drops from prohcgdiet.com and lost 16 pounds on the diet in 24 days. Its now been 3 months since I did this diet and and I have not gained a pound since I went off of it. I have tried so many diets and this is a diet that I can really say was fun. Its so great to wake up every morning and see how much weight you have lost. My and my mom and sister all took the drops from Pro Hcg Diet which had good instructions and a great menu book too. Some girls from the office did the injections and lost about the same as I did so unless your into pain, get drops!
Good Luck!

Thomas asks…
How old do you have to be to buy the hcg diet?
I am 16, I want to buy the hcg diet is there a age requirement?
Chloe Adisson answers:
U have to be 100 years old. Sorry. Ur off by about 84 years.

David asks…
Aromatherapy?
Hey guys,
Im working on a project dealing with aromatherapy and what kind of effects it has on people. I really need to know any websites that would be of use for research.
Thanks
Chloe Adisson answers:
Here are some intresting ones.

Sandra asks…
aromatherapy?
Anyone know of fragrences to improve mood, help depression etc and where to get it from??
Chloe Adisson answers:
Scents and moods are mostly subjective i.e. You should find a scent that is related to a pleasant memory. While I like the scent of wet pavement (associate it with the beginning of rain), most people find it pretty disgusting.
A few essentials do have medicinal properties, but they are relatively rare. The only one I know for sure is frankincense resin, which is a mild sedative. Most other scents’ effects are ‘in your head’.
Safe bets to start with are citrus and flower scents–few people have bad memories of that! If you can find a store in the area that carries perfume oils, walk in and ask to smell samples. These are usually pagan or New Age -themed stores. If you don’t have those, find a Yankee Candles store and sniff the candles. At a buck and change apiece it’s a relatively inexpensive way to scent a room and try out what you like.

Ruth asks…
What aromatherapy would work for depression problems?
I know it’s probably a quack medicine but I think that it’s worth a try in addition to regular therapy and medication. What aromatherapy would be helpful for treating depression?
Chloe Adisson answers:
None.

Mandy asks…
Where can I buy good aromatherapy oils online?
I would like to hear from aromatherapists who can recommend good aromatherapy websites/brands.
Chloe Adisson answers:
Http://www.youraromatherapy.co.uk/ they have ever thing you could ask for hope this helps

Maria asks…
What aromatherapy oil smells the best to wear as a perfume?
&& Where can i get a list of all the aromatherapy oils & their uses ( not the lists were you have to click on the word because that takes to much time) && describe the smells of your favorite ones C=
thank you
godbless
Chloe Adisson answers:
Aromatherapy uses essential oils extracted from nature’s herbs and flowers. The aroma is inhaled, or applied to the skin, and each of the oils (or combination thereof) addresses a specific disorder. It appears that the body is able to utilize the healing properties of the oils through the olfactory system of the body, and so initiate the healing process. Aromatherapy practitioners would also have an understanding of the psychological and emotional factors of illness.
This website has some great information and articles about Aromatherapy.

Carol asks…
Is there anything softer than silicon for breast implants?
I’m not really up to date with the latest in aesthetic-oriented surgery, especially the type focused on women, so I wanted to know if there’s a material that’s softer and more natural looking than silicon based implants. I heard something about a material called “gummy bear” but I’m not entirely sure about it. Any leads?
Chloe Adisson answers:
I didn’t think silicone implants were legal again. Huh. Well, i know the “safer” and “softer” implants are waterbased. I think the best would be saline because it is soft, and if you get into an accident, and it pops, it wont kill you like silicone will.

Sandra asks…
Can anyone recommend me a surgeon in Lafayette who gets me circumcised? Mostly for aesthetic reasons?
I wan t to get circumcised but I’m new in Lafayette and I’m looking for a surgeon who can perform the surgery according to what I want
Chloe Adisson answers:
How old are you? Circumcizion as an adult is strongly discouraged.

James asks…
What’s the best way to find a specialist in rhinoplasty?
I’m in Austin, TX and looking for a plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. Are there any associations that “matter” more than others? For example, a friend said to only consult with surgeons who are members of the ADA; but many of the plastic surgeons I’ve found online aren’t, but there’s many who are members of the “American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery” and others similar to that. Do these matter? Are some “credentials” better than others, if so, which do I pay attention to? Thanks!
Chloe Adisson answers:
What you want to look for is a board certified plastic surgeon certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A good surgeon will not just try to talk you into surgery for the sake of taking your money either. They will try to find out the reasons for your decision for a consultation and tell you all the risks and benefits of the surgery it’s self. Check with the ABPS for a certified surgeon in your area.

Jenny asks…
Is there a procedure, short of major jaw/dental surgery to fix a fairly pronounced under-bite?
I don’t experience any problems other than aesthetics. Has anyone here had the surgery? What was the expense, discomfort and recovery time? Were you pleased with the results?
Chloe Adisson answers:
My underbite was really bad in childhood, and orthodontia helped considerably (and might have helped more if I had done the things consistently as I was told).
But if you are an adult, then I’m pretty sure the surgery is the only option because that’s the only way to change the size of the mandible. I’m sure it hurts! After all, when I had an impacted tooth removed, that really hurt, too! But once the recovery is complete, you will probably be glad you did it.
Go for some consultations with surgeons in your area. Ask for references and if there are any patients whom you could discuss the experience with.

Michael asks…
What is the effect of cosmetic surgery on society?
What are its effects in terms of education? Culture? and Aesthetics?
Chloe Adisson answers:
Unrealistic expectations for beauty, materialism, shallow relationships, less respect for life (casue it aint always beautiful),

Aromatherapy is an alternate medicine branch that makes use of oils and their aromatic properties to heal the specific health challenges. This therapy is getting popular these days as it has negligible or no side-effects at all. The results of aromatherapy for headache treatment are found to be effective having a long-term effect.
Pains due to migraine or any other type of headache can be very tough to handle and bear at moments. Sometimes this pain renders a person’s working abilities to worthless as that person becomes unable to discharge any task at all. Traditional treatments like allopathy are found least effective in such kind of headaches. Aromatherapy provides an effective and lasting solution for these headaches using some specific aromatic oils.
The basis understanding about the methodology of aromatherapy for headache is somewhat like this. The limbic center in the brain controls our emotions and certain behavior that are generally common to all human beings. Limbic center is responsible for generating the myriad of emotions like love, passion, hate, care, protection, sadness, happiness, etc. apart from some specific personal memories. Researchers and practitioners in this field believe that scent or aroma affects our health and mood to a great extent as the limbic center in the brain is connected to the olfactory center of the nose. The limbic center reacts to the various scents that pass through the olfactory in the nose. It is also believed that aromatherapy is able to affect our nervous system for good to increase our immunity. One thing that needs to be taken care of is doctor’s advice particularly in case of asthma, pregnancy or any such sensitive case.
You can use aromatherapy for headache treatment in a number of ways like adding few drops to slightly warm water-bath or in diffuser by rubbing few drops to the temples. The impact of aromatherapy for headache treatment can vary person to person.
Certain aromatherapy oils are found to be more effective in aromatherapy for headache. Lavender’s oil’s pleasant scent has been used for generations for reducing stress and headache. It generally sets the mood on. Peppermint oil is also believed to be very effective in curing headache when rubbed over the forehead. A bad headache often leads to mental fatigue. Sandal-wood is found to be effective in treating this fatigue.
It is now time to say good bye to headaches.

Donna asks…
A Brief Introduction of HCG Diet Danger?
With the ever fast development of HCG diet, an increasing number of people are getting to know it. Carefully getting the comprehensive information of HCG diet, including its dangers, is a must-to-do thing for anyone who has interests in it.
Chloe Adisson answers:
You forgot to post your spam link to go with the spam question.

Lisa asks…
how does that hcg diet work and are there any dangers?
Chloe Adisson answers:
It makes the body think it is pregnant and there are always risks with drugs…

Linda asks…
How good is the HCG Diet?
Im trying to lose some weight and i’ve heard from a lot of people about this hcg diet thing. How good is it? Is it effective? Is their any dangers?
Chloe Adisson answers:
I’m doing the HCG diet right now following the 21 Day program from http://prohcgdiet.com So far it is working nicely. I take the drops 3 times a day and eat the very strict 500 calorie diet. Its been about 10 days and ive lost 10.2 lbs. The results are fast and i feel great. I think i look alot lighter than the 10 pounds shows. As far as side effects, i have not encountered any so far, except that if you stray from the diet it will not work at all. It even causes you to gain weight if you drink alcohol or eat to much sugar/carbs. Also, you cannot exercise heavily or your body will go into starvation mode and hold fat.
Im hoping to lose another 10 lbs. In the 11 days i have left in this cycle. If you decide to try it, you just have to be very dedicated and DO NOT CHEAT, no matter how badly you want a cheeseburger!
Good luck!

John asks…
Are there any actual stories of people getting hurt from the HCG diet?
I’m using homeopathic HCG now and doing the 500 calorie diet. I’m taking Vitamins C, B12 and Potassium as well, and honestly, I feel great (actually better than I did before I started) and have lost a little over 10 lbs in a week.
However, I’ve heard people say that it’s dangerous. I tried looking up the dangers before I purchased the homeopathic HCG online, and all I got was the same freezedried stories of how dangerous full strength HCG is. Yes…. I get that. We take many medicines that would be dangerous at high dosages whereas they’re harmless at low doseages.
Have you actually HEARD of anyone having major problems from taking HCG that have actually followed protocol and have not ate less than 500c per day? Anyone whose metabolism was permanantly screwed up (again, that followed the following stages as they were supposed to?.
Everyone that I’ve known that has one it has had great success and so far, is doing good keeping the weight off. Usually when something is too good to be true, it is. This seems to be different though.
So… tell me something I don’t know about it?
Thanks
Homeopathic
It’s taken orally instead of injected.
From what I gather, it’s considerably WAY more diluted than the injections that people take that are using RX HCG.
Chloe Adisson answers:
I did the RX HCG for 3 weeks…
I lost 16 pound and its been 4 months and I’ve kept it off….
Only advice is to make sure your taking multivitamin, B12 and Biotin! I lost half my hair a month after!

Mandy asks…

Please don’t answer if your going to give me a health lecture. I understand the risks/dangers of this Diet.
I just got the HCG drops, I was just wondering do I have to follow a strict diet or can I eat whatever i would like as long as its not over 500 calories…
For people that have done the diet, what have been your results?
Chloe Adisson answers:
Well, the best guide i could find for you is on these sites
