Aesthetic Surgery Questions Answered

William asks…

Where do you draw the line on body modifications?

What kind of body modifications are ethically acceptable, and which are not? If having surgery performed on a child born with a cleft palate is acceptable to improve his appearance, is it also acceptable to have a circumcision performed for purely aesthetic (not religious) reasons? Is it ok to have a if your nose has been broken and it’s impairing your ability to breathe? How about a for a 16 year old who thinks her nose is too big? And what about liposuction? Is liposuction an intelligent option for the severely overweight? How about for someone who exercises and watches their diet but can’t get rid of those love handles or thunder thighs?

Is it going too far to have a breast lift after carrying and breastfeeding three children? Is it going too far to have a breast augmentation to look hotter? How about getting DDD’s to make money as a stripper? Are botox injections advisable for an actress? How about for a soccer Mom?

Where would you draw the line, and why?

:

When u look like a barbie doll all shiny and plastic…aka Pamela Anderson

Mark asks…

I was born with double eyelids, but when I grew older my eyes drooped down which makes my eyes appear smaller?

Should I get double eyelid surgery to correct it? I am a 16 year old Asian who was naturally born with big eyes but later on have small eyes now. Do I have an excuse to have plastic surgery? I’m not trying to be another race nor am I ashamed of being Asian. I personally find bigger eyes more aesthetic and prettier than smaller eyes. My sister was born with big eyes too and was lucky enough to stay that way. Her eyes didn’t droop down but mine did, which really sucks.

answers:

You shouldn’t care what people say or think. If getting the surgery is what you really want the do it! :D After all, it is YOUR body.

Paul asks…

Would surgery be best or are there other options?

I’m 15 years old and i am lucky enough to have tailor’s bunions on both of my feet. They can be painful when wearing shoes, even the ones designed especially for feet like mine. I can cope with the pain, my main problem I have is how disgusting my feet look, even when i wear other shoes it’s so disgusting to have a lump on one side of your foot. I understand you can have surgery to remove them but can’t they just grow back again? and surgery would be very painful with months recovering and i’m not sure it’s worth it. However I really don’t want to on with these disgusting feet, are there any methods/ treatments that i can have that don’t involve surgery not to cope with the pain but for aesthetic purposes?
Thanks

Chloe Adisson answers:

Feet are not the most attractive thing in the world. Why are you not under a doctor’s care and if so, why don’t you have an answer to this problem. If I had a lump anywhere I would want to get rid of it. I don’t think you would be down as long as you think and once over its over.

Sandra asks…

Military ?

Please do not awnser this if you do not know the answer to it and you are just making assumptions.

A friend of my husband claims that there is a military benifit of free cosmetic surgery. He said that he did not want to use it and so he was allowed to extend it to his spouse. The surgery she is getting is not medically neccessary, completely for aesthetic reasons.

quite frankly, this sounds way to good to be true. . .but if it is true I would like to learn more about it.

So has anybody heard about this? I googled it and things came up about free cosmetic surgeries but nothing that I would take seriously.

Im not sure if I would want to get free cosmetic surgery, I worry I would get what I paid for. lol. but I have been considering cosmetic surgery seriously for a very long time, and I think this could be something to look into. or not. just curious.

Chloe Adisson answers:

No. Only medically necessary surgeries are covered by Tricare.

Electives are purely on a space availalable basis and have a butt ton of regulations and rules as to what is covered and what is not. Currently few eleictrives are covered as the primary reason for offerthem( keeping surgeons skills up to date) is not a factor as they are getting plenty of practice on injured servicemembers.

Mandy asks…

?

I had braces for a couple of years when I was younger, but I still have an overbite (my dentist just did the rubberbands on the braces method and I hardly wore them..I regret it now).So now, I’d like to get jaw surgery to fix it(I believe this is the only option since I am 20 and done growing..but let me know if you know of any other methods that have worked). I’m doing it not just for aesthetic reasons, but my jaw often hurts, pops, and it’s hard to chew. Do you ALWAYS need to have braces after the surgery? I assume you wouldn’t need them for very long? If they are required, can you get the kind that are behind the teeth so they don’t show? How long does it take to recover from the surgery? I would plan on doing it over my next winter break -so I’d have about a month off from school/work. Also, what is the approximate price of it? I’m still under my parent’s insurance, so do you think that would cover some of it? Let me know! I just want some input before I go to a consultation:)

Chloe Adisson answers:

Hey there, I actually had jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery in medical terms) between my junior and senior year of college. I had TMJ problems, migraines, and an open bite, therefore surgery was necessary.

I wore braces for approximately 6 months before surgery and 4 months after surgery. Of course, at 20 years old this wasn’t ideal, but I’m thankful I had the operation.

Each person is different and each surgery is different, so during your consultation the doctor can provide you with more specifics.

I had both upper and lower jaws broken and was essentially “wired” down for 6-8 weeks. My oral surgeon used very tight rubberbands instead of actually wiring me completely down.

It wasn’t the most pleasant of situations: not eating solid foods, swelling, weakness, losing excessive weight, pain, etc.

I was under my parents insurance and it paid for it completely except for $1000.

Good luck–it’s not as bad as you think!

Also, I look very different now from before my surgery, so be aware of that “side effect”.

1800 Flowers Questions Answered

Share

Helen asks…

What type of phone is needed for at home reps for 1800 flowers?

Does anyone know what type of phone is needed for at home 1800 flower reps. They said it has to have a headset jack. But it there a specific phone or model number?

answers:

It just says a traditional, corded telephone with headset capability. They don’t specify any brand or model.

Laura asks…

Where can I get a 1800-flowers warm and fuzzy feeling toy?

C’mon there has got to be a toy from that thing on the commercial. And they gotta be selling them somewhere!

:

I have been wondering the same thing!!!!

Jenny asks…

1800 flowers didnt delivier my Mom flowers today, is that typical of them and do i get a refund?

I ordered them yesterday for today, they never delievered and kept telling me its coming, now its after 7 and they dont answer.

Is this typical of them and do i get a refund?
they guranteed delievery for today.

Chloe Adisson answers:

This happened to me last year and I ordered them 2 weeks ahead of time!

It took me over an hour on the phone, but I finally got them delivered AND got a refund. The solution they kept proposing to me was to have my mil drive to a store and pick up flowers the following week, and they would be different from the ones I had ordered and they offered me 15% off my next order with them!

Well, I don’t usually go off on companies, but my mil was homebound in the late stages of breast cancer and could not be expected to go pick up her own random flowers on some other day! I let them have it and finally got what I wanted from them.

I gave them bad reviews anywhere online that takes reviews and this year for my own mother (mil passed away) I used the website of a florist local in her city to guarantee better delivery.

FTD by the way, often ships flowers in boxes and the recipient has to arrange them herself, so I wouldn’t trust FTD either.

*Note to you: order further ahead next time! Mother’s Day is on every calendar and troubles arise like this when you wait until the last minute! Lessons for next time.

Lisa asks…

How was your experience working for West at home, 1800 Flowers, Alpine Access, Live Ops?

I want to work for these work at home job places, but I don’t know which one is best. What extra equipment will I have to buy (besides a head set). What is the salary like? What should I watch out for…warnings. Anything else I need to know?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Your pay is what I’d find out. You’ll end up with a minimum wage earning.
That’s why majority of the people start up with home based businesses where you have the same income opportunity as a traditional business and not have the overhead expenses that they have to dish out each month. Once you have a home based business established, pretty much everything in your home that you use on a daily bases becomes a tax write off. Your telephone, computer, electricity, gas, car expenses etc. Witht he gas prices these days, that tax write off is a blessing. You don’t have these types of advantages in home jobs, and the income level is much higher then a home job.
I can refer you to quite a few people who have home based businesses if you’d like to take a look at some ideas.

Here they are:

http://www.tiffanyvague.acnrep.com The telecommunications service providers give you a percentage of people’s billings
every month.
Http://www.kyani.net/robertbreitling offering health drinks for a wide range of people
http://www.cwlight.net/yoursuccess. Making home made candles and doing fundraisers

So many different things you can do from home that give you an opportunity to make an incredible amount of income.

Hope this helps! If you have further questions, feel free to email me at tvague@seafaringopportunities.org

James asks…

Canadian 1800 flowers and 1800 baskets?

Does Canada have something like 1800 flowers and 1800 baskets for Toronto? I know SOME of their products on 1800 flowers will ship there but not many and I can’t find any on 1800 Baskets that will. Anyone know of something? And Thank You!

Chloe Adisson answers:

Canada does have florists that are part of the FTD association. If you place an order through one of their locations, it will automatically be arranged with a local florist in Toronto to prepare and ship an appropriate floral or basket arrangement.

There are also several online websites that accept orders for gift baskets and florists in Toronto area. Just do a search for “Toronto gift baskets” or “Toronto florists” and you will find several. Alternatively, use the online Yellow Pages for Toronto (www.canada411.ca) and find a local company that will accept the order by phone.

I have purchased flowers through Sears online website in the past, and they have always arrived on time and with nice arrangements. You can perhaps look into that. They are a bit pricier because I think Sears subcontracts the actual arranging and shipment to local florists in each city, but they still get a “cut” of the total cost. But you are guaranteed that what is sent will meet Sears quality standards.

Aesthetic Surgery Questions Answered

Joseph asks…

Can I get microtia surgery?

I think I might have grade I microtia. My external ear is totally there and I don’t have any hearing problems but my ears are abnormally small (I mean EXTREMELY SMALL!) .I guess it’s more of an aesthetic concern… It’s so embarrassing when I go out in public and when I go to school people make fun of how small my ears are and I have low self-esteem because of this. So my question is, am I likely candidate for this surgery?
Also, what is the average cost of microtia surgery?

answers:

Its an , in layman terms anyone who can afford it can get it done ,the cost and the details you have to figure them out with the clinic

Steven asks…

A surgery that would produce a working human tail…?

Now, I’ve heard of people asking this before, but I have to know, especially if anyone is a doctor. Would it be possible to, by some way, add a tail to the existing spine of a human, in essence simply extending the spine by a large amount? I assume that there is no surgery for this, since it is aesthetic at best. Then again, I would be thrilled to have a working tail. Now, my question is ‘would it be possible’ I’m just trying to figure that out, if so, then I could figure out if anyone would be willing to do it…. though I doubt it. Of course, there is the issue of attaching nerve tissue to the new spinal extension, which I geuss could be obtained from a chimpanzee cadaver’s tail, or maybe the spine of a human cadaver, but, that would have the wrong nerve structure to properly serve as a tail, I assume, and if it did, the responses from the brain would likely be incorrect. Well, if anyone can answer this, then please give me an answer. I am very curios to see if this is even plausible
[Update, to respond to people's answers] What I meant, exactly, was, to find some way to extend the spine past the tail bone, by either A-) Taking a tail from a chimpanzee (closest relative to human with an articulated tail) cadaver and somehow appending it to the end of a human spine [this seems impossible] or B-) Taking the articulated spine from a human and appending it to the end of one’s spine. [this seems more plausible, but then the tail would move uncomfortably at best] And just as well, our ancestors had tails, and considering that brainpower is used as it’s needed, it may be very likely that, once one has a tail, he would ‘remember’ how to use it. catch my drift? And to what someone else said about why would you want it…. Of course my reply is… Tails are awesome! And, also, I could pick up stuff… To a great extent, it would serve as a third arm.
[More responses for more answers]
Yeah, I realize that the spinal cord ends, what I was thinking, was, and stop me if I start sounding outrageous, actually taking out a couple of the vertebra at the end of the spin, and taking a few vertebra of the top of the soon-to-be attached secondary spinal cord, and then somehow connecting the nerves and fusing the two together… (I don’t mean to literally ‘fuse’ the bones together, but if that would be the only way, then I don’t need to bend at my back-end much anyway, lol)

:

Possible or not; it would be akin to creating a new human with different physiological features.

I wonder if any one has seen that program “Vanity INSANITY”.

Donna asks…

Contemplating surgery for bow legs (genu varum)?

Hey only up untill recently ive developed bow legs due to my growth spurt…although its not a severe case and quite unusual in the sense they dont look bowed in the traditional way and most people think they look normal, but the problem is my right leg’s structure differs to that of my left which makes it a lot harder to walk because its uneven (makes my right leg about a cm shorter)…i checked out this site that does the surgery in ukrane http://www.aesthetic.com.ua/
they seem pretty legit, is there any qualified docter on here that could tell me if there would be any side effects, i emailed the clinic and they told me there wouldnt be but i cant really trust them…i would never get it done without approval of other certified docters…its not just for aethetic purposes but also because they can at times ache and for my running, ever since this has happened i hate to run and i used to be a champion runner i would really like to continue with it
thanks
sorry should of said im 19 going on 20

Carol asks…

How bad is the scar from anal fistula surgery?

I am pretty sure I have an anal fistula and am incredibly nervous at the prospect of laying open the fistula surgically, which the two doctors I have seen say is the most common treatment. I am most concerned about the aesthetics of the surgery. I do not want to have a horrible, permanent scar around my ass.

I know that’s not a major concern for many people, but it is for me.

I would appreciate answers from people who have actually experienced or treated an anal fistula

I understand the scar will look bad for six months or so, but how about after a year or more?

Chloe Adisson answers:

I think it depends on the number of people other than you who will be looking at your bum!

Laura asks…

If you think people shouldn’t “play god”, how far does that go?

Limited to stuff like abortion, cloning & playing with genetics/dna?

What about aesthetic surgery? All bad? Or just stuff like transgender operations?

Then there are cases where people refuse proper medical treatment because they rather leave it in god’s hands. Is that ridiculous and taking it too far?

I suppose an extreme version might suggest that people should never get tattoos, piercings, wear makeup, etc. Altering the artist’s work…

Chloe Adisson answers:

Ironically, the last bit (tattoos, makeup, ect) are actually taboo for our people (navajo) for exactly that reason. We believe that we were each created to be uniquely and breathtakingly beautiful, and that altering your appearance amounts to a denial of your beauty, and attempt to “do better”. Nowadays, women do wear “some” makeup, but you are supposed to keep it very subtle, not noticeable. Piercings are ok, as is wearing lots of jewelery and bright colors. (you were made beautiful, show it off!)

Hcg Diet Protocol Questions Answered

Share

William asks…

Why am I gaining weight on the HCG Diet (in Phase 2)?

I’ve successfully lost 29 lbs on phase 2 (40 day protocol) of the HCG diet and weighed myself last night only to find that i gained 1.8 lbs! This morning, I gained another 2 pounds! didn’t cheat at all and my period isn’t due for another week. Has anyone experienced weight gain a week before their period was due? That’s the only thing I could think of that could cause me to gain almost 2 pounds. This is very discouraging. I do the injections and I’ve been very strict about what I eat, not straying from the plan. Will not drinking enough water cause you to gain? I used a clean and clear mask on my face and also use Aveeno products. Has anyone experienced this or can offer help???

:

Its been 3 days now so you have prob gotten through your plateau. One thing that kills people is salt, it makes you retain a lot of water which can throw you off. Don’t worry about the small spikes, if you stay on the plan it is 100% water weight you are gaining, stick it out and you will be in for some BIG loss days after you shed the water. Keep Going!

Ruth asks…

HCG Diet Questions….Women may have answers?

I’m starting my 3rd week on the HCG Protocol. I called the company where I get my sublingual drops from and they said do not take the drops on your period. So I stopped when my period arrived, but my period has been way longer this time, longer than it ever is. I usually have it for 3-4 days and this has lasted a week now. Do I need to start taking the drops again? I know they say when you menstruate you should stop taking the drops due to immunity. But since my period has gone on so long, should I start the drops to get them back into my system? I have had a stall during my period, this past week I’ve only lost 3lbs, which is really frustrating. I am on the pill, would that have anything to do with it?? I’m kinda freaked out that it’s lasted this long!!

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

answers:

Morgan, if you are taking homeopathic HCG drops, there is no reason for you to stop taking them while you are on your period. You should continue your drops right away.

Having a stall in losses during your period is normal. Frustrating, yes…but, nothing to be concerned with, the losses WILL continue.

It is also quite normal for you period to be a bit irregular while taking HCG. Again, this is nothing to be concerned with.

Continue taking your drops and following VLCD. Your losses will continue.

Laura asks…

500 calorie diet VS. HCG?

OK I am on the HCG 500 calorie diet and I love it. BUT I want to know why its unhealthy to only eat 500 calories YET on the HCG protocol its ok. IDK I am one week in and I have lost about 9 pounds. Now I am only 5 feet tall and well over 200lb. I have droped weight on other diets but always gain it back and more but with this I have really gotten motovated and I want this. But why do i hear negativity about the 500 yet the HCG is HUGE

Chloe Adisson answers:

A 500 calorie diet is dangerous because your body needs more than 500 calories to maintain itself for normal functions.

If you are a sedentary woman who weighs 200 lbs, then to maintain that weight you would need about 2400 calories a day. To lose weight safely you should eat less calories than that, but according to “Lose It For Life,” by Stephen Arterburn, M.Ed., and Dr. Linda Mintle, “you should NEVER go below 1,500 calories per day unless under the supervision of a doctor.”

Losing so much weight so quickly can actually hurt your body. I don’t know the difference between the two diets you mentioned, but you shouldn’t have to hurt your body to lose weight, and the safest way to lose weight is to do so slowly. Because you aren’t very tall and do weigh over 200 lbs, you will probably lose weight faster than someone like me, who is 6 inches taller and closer to 30 lbs overweight, because proportionally you have more to lose. That’s not my way of bragging, I’m just letting you know that you will probably lose weight pretty quickly at first on a healthy diet that your doctor approves. This will probably slow down after a while, and you’ll certainly need to add physical activity to the mix.

Sandy asks…

HCG makeup questions…?

Yes…I know I ask a million questions. I was wondering if anyone knows if L’oreal Voluminous Original mascara is ok on the hcg diet protocol. If not does anyone know of a mascara that IS ok. I would like to be able to get it at a store rather than ordering online. What about Nail Polish? Also, if a product says “oil free” does that mean it’s ok to use…or are there additional ingredients that I need to look for in it? Thanks, everybody, for your input. I really appreciate it!!

Chloe Adisson answers:

I looked up the ingredients in that mascara for you (link in sources) and there doesn’t appear to be anything in them that would potentially interfere with your HCG diet.

When looking at personal care products, starting with “oil free” products is a good start – but you need to go a bit deeper than that and actually look at the ingredients in the product. You want to avoid products with any type of oil/fat/lard in them as well as the following ingredients:

sorbitol, lanolin, petroleum jelly, propelyne glycol, petrolatum, and sodium lauryl sulfate.

To help you find personal care products, I’ve also put a link to a handy PDF that has several VLCD safe options for you.

Best of luck in your weight loss journey!

Betty asks…

Question about the HCG diet?

If you know what the protocol is all about, I am wondering why a person (after say, eating 200 calories worth of “cheat” or “bad” food)would gain 2 lbs.

If the plan is to eat 500 calories, and because the hcg DOESNT screw up your metabolism……….

how the heck could you gain just from 700 calories!? That’s still undereating! I’m so confused.

Please help if you know about the HCG diet.

I’m not following it, im just researching it.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Maybe the food that person ate was salty or sugary – both retain water in the tissues.

Forget HCG…
“500-calories per day is severely restrictive! In fact, it is not enough calories to support normal brain function. Your body will compensate by using of glycogen, protein (muscle) and some fat, which lowers your resting metabolism. Before you can lose true weight, you will be so irritable, lightheaded, and cranky that you’ll reach for whatever food you can get your hands on and have a field day.

There is no scientific evidence supporting HCG as a weight loss strategy. The FDA has required all marketing and advertising of HCG to state the following: “HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or ‘normal’ distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.”

Detoxify Your Body Questions Answered

Share

Helen asks…

will cleansing/detoxify your body give you lighter skin?

if you cleanse/detoxify your body, would that help you get lighter skin?

answers:

No it will not in all honesty.
It will only clear your intestines, and give you a healthier colon.

If you want to get lighter skin, it may or may not be possible because of your natural pigmentation of skin tone.

Go talk to a dermatologist, and see what they can do for you.

Mandy asks…

What are some natural ways to detoxify your body?

I smoked a cigarette and I want to rid my body of the toxins as good as possible. Any suggestions?

:

Yes, just leave your body to clean itself and keep up a healthy diet.

Anyone who tells you that ‘detox’ is real is a scammer who is insulting your intelligence.

Sandy asks…

Has anyone ever used Niacin to detoxify your body?

I heard Niacin is used to detoxify all the toxins that you have ingested, consumed and or inhaled. Has anyone used this product to clean your system and did it work? I have heard this works for people who gets migranes. Has anyone lost weight using this product? How do you know if the toxins are cleaned out of your system? What have people used this for and where the results what you expected?
Thanks to all the post and to the mom the nurse, we breath, consume and injest toxins from the air we breath, the foods we eat that have streoids and other additives, second hand smoke, ect…. and as a nurse you should know that. Thanks you Tony T for the web page. Doomjockey and Amy Scrubs thanks for your input also.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Although Niacin, Vitamin B3 is used to help folks with high cholesterol, it has to be very carefully monitored and adjusted. In high doses it has some very unsavory side effects, such as skin rashes and heart arrythmias. If it gets bad enough, it can even cause liver failure. There have been scientific studies done on it’s ability to “flush” a system but they haven’t found any benefit. What they have found is that in the normal person the side effects and toxicity prove far more dangerous than any benefit they might have. For the average person there are no toxins that you need concern yourself with trying to remove, and really none you can remove with things available for sale. The digestive system is a self cleaning system, set up to absorb nutrients from what you’ve eaten. It doesn’t allow things to flow into the system from the other direction. The job of waste removal from the blood falls to the liver and kidneys, which is where any intake of B3 would be dealt with. They would try to remove the excess amounts you took, and in the process likely get overloaded, causing the side effects I mentioned. It’s not a good idea to overload them either, since permanent damage is nearly impossible to fix. In cases where somebody has actually gotten a toxic substance into the body, there are methods to attempt to leach it out, using forms of chemotherapy to do it. It’s not easy, and it comes with risks all it’s own. And finally, there is a portion of the population that is somewhat allergic to the supplemental forms, and their reactions to large doses are really not good. It can make you go blind, even kill you. As a health regimen, taking more than the 100% recommended allowance isn’t just not sensible, it’s dangerous. You can’t clean your system, and more to the point, you don’t need to. Do it the old fashioned way, eat right, drink plenty of fluids, and exercise. Your body is designed to function quite well if you do these things, and without any other assistance from you. People live quite well without ever even trying to clean out their insides, and some of those who have tried have died due to their efforts to meddle. Do yourself a favor, don’t waste you money on the supplements like this. Just buy good food to eat,and trust your body knows what it needs to do.

Joseph asks…

Can you detoxify your body from radiation?

If you are exposed to radiation, is there anyway you can take it out of your body?:/
Sorry if my question is stupid, but I am really worried and I want to know.

Chloe Adisson answers:

The damage is done upon exposure. Think in terms of a microwave oven. You “cook” from the inside out. The only people at serious risk of exposure in japan are the workers who are voluntarily going into the contaminated site to hold things together. You,ll get way more radiation from a ct scan than from the broken reactor.

Maria asks…

what are some simple home remedies to detoxify your body?

are there any home remedies like a body wrap that is simple to do at home or any other kind of remedies i can try at home to lose inches in a day?

Chloe Adisson answers:

Lots of fiber and super milk thistle for your liver. Also, HOT baths and yoga. Don’t forget to drink lots of water, 64oz per day (or your body weight divided in half = the oz of water you should drink in a day).

Aesthetic Surgery Questions Answered

Carol asks…

My right eye is slanted upwards higher than my left eye wtf?

Now i realize this is common with people, especially their right eye being higher, but mine is very significant and its causing a lot of discomfort. I’m 20 yrs old, male, is there any aesthetic surgery i can take to even my eyes out? Serious

http://i54.tinypic.com/2vws4np.jpg

The lines show how obvious it is, seems like 2-3 inches disparity between the eyes
Am a guy, would never wear eyeliner

:

Wtf……Wtf…… Can u say “STROKE” LOL

Mandy asks…

i have to write a paper on a controversial issue, i was thinking of doing plastic surgery among women?

so i have to write a persuasive ‘speech’ if you will, about a controversial issue. i choose to do plastic/cosmetic surgery among women, and how it perpetuates the idea of women as sex symbols when they get bigger boobs or thicker lips or all of these things. do you think this is good to write about? i need to back it up with statistics, but i haven’t found any that i think relate on google, what would be some pros/cons of getting these surgeries.

by the way, i mean surgery for purely aesthetic reasons. not for anything related to health beacuse that’s completely different.

answers:

People really do seem to be devided on the subject, either in total favor or completely against. Interesting.

What i would like to know is if an individual drastically alters their appearence say with rhinoplasty or jaw implants are they obliged to tell a perspective mate. Should they have a disclaimer tattooed on their ass that reads “caution, may produce ugly offspring”. I know it sounds harsh, but think about it. I feel it has ethical merit.

Paul asks…

Can a deviated septum operation be mixed with an aesthetic one?

Or is it better not to try this and leave some time between the two? How much time does it take to recover from these surgeries (like for the operation to be little visible and to walk around without a huge bandage on the nose)? If anyone has done this, some patient experiences would be welcomed…

Chloe Adisson answers:

FIRST LISTEN… Do your homework!! Check the plastic surgeon’s qualifications… Is he/she BOARD CERTIFIED?
Just to let u know, any “doctor” can legally perform plastic surgery.. Even dermatologists! After you do your homework, then you can worry about convenience.

To answer your question, yes u can do both at the same time.
It all depends on your situation whether or not you should combine both surgeries. Depending on your payment plans… Your insurance may not cover both.

Your next question….. There will be A LOT of swelling and inflammation after the surgery. You will have to wear the bandage over your nose for a while (the bandage serves an important purpose, it maintains the good end result…do not remove it prematurely as your end result will be adversly affected.)
You are looking at months for the nose to return to…… Better.

You will really enjoy the result ………Better breathing which will help your health significantly.
Hope this helps……. :)

Joseph asks…

how can i get rid of my face swellings?

I got hit pretty badly by robbers breaking into my house a few years ago.

The damage they did to my face, besides a cut, all healed. It’s just the swelling on my forehead and my eye-ridges still look swollen even though they no longer hurt. It’s like their calcium built up or something. How can I make them go away without surgery? The court says the victimizers don’t have to pay for that since it’s all aesthetic so no surgery =/.

Chloe Adisson answers:

Its been a few years!? SEE A DOCTOR! This is a serious problem. I am not a doctor i cant tell you what to do. I can SUGGEST that you use tylenol and ice for your face.

Sandy asks…

Hey lads,
i m french and need some help to translate or understand the meaning of this sentence:
“When demanding people consider the work of Professor Sailer to be the only possible option for them worth discussing, there has to be more to it than just “normal” aesthetic surgery

Chloe Adisson answers:
