Question by BusyMum: How long do homeopathic remedies last/keep for?
I have some homeopathic remedies from over 2 years ago that I used when in labour. I’m due again and want to use them again. There is no ‘use by’ date on the bottle but lots of pills are left. Are these still usable or should I buy new ones? Thanks!

I think they will keep for years and years, I remeber reading years ago that some Hanemahns(?sp) original pills were still safe to use 150 years later..

As long as they aren’t obviously mouldy they’re probably fine.?

Question by Susan R: Homeopathy or herbs to increase milk supply?
My son is 7 weeks old and my milk supply is already going down. Does anybody know of any homeopathy remedies or herbs I can take to help increase my milk supply? Any other natural remedies would be welcome as well.

brewers yeast and more water. and- yes I know this sounds strange, wrapping blanched green cabbabge leaves on breasts. There was aso something to take with Brewers yeast, but I have forgotten. LeLeche league told me these, maybe look up your local one

I`ve heard a lot of bad info about the plant.I`m interested the the homeopathic remedy as my son has many of the symptoms that belladonna may help.Are there any side effects or dangers from the homeopathic remedy?

There are no side effects of homeopathic ‘medication’ – but there are no therapeutic effects either. It’s nothing more than a placebo with delusions of grandeur. Homeopathy is an expensive hoax, nothing more.

The actual plant is highly toxic.

I gave my baby boiron camilia homeopathic for teethng. The box says give one dose followed by another every 15 minutes for two more doses. So is three doses the maximum for the day? Or in a couple of hours can she have 3 more doses?

Homeopathic “medicine” contains no active ingredients. If it is a liquid it is just water, or sugar water.

Since there is nothing in it, there is no theoretical maximum dose, unless you are concerned about giving your baby sugar water….which you should be.

I like homeopathic medicine and I know there is a ton of information on the web, but I want to know some tried and true remedies.

i use something called “rescue remedy” to help with my anxiety and it’s fantastic! it’s made from lots of different flowers, doesn’t interact with medications, works fast, is really effective, you can take it by itself or put some in a water bottle and sip it whenever you need it. it’s such a great thing to have! even for people without anxiety disorders who are just really stressed or need help getting to sleep, it’s really good. and it’s cheap too.

something else i use is lavender oil, i put some on my temples and the back of my neck or sometimes on my pillow and it’s really relaxing. it always surprises me how just a scent can make people feel relaxed but it really does!

Question by : Why couldn’t big pharmaceutical companies make money on homeopathy if they wanted to?
People who support homeopathy always seem to imply this but I don’t get it.
If there are patents on aspirin, I am pretty sure that big pharma lawyers could figure out how to patent a homeopathic remedy. And I don’t think that cost is a good argument either. It costs billions of dollars and many years to develop a drug, it would be much much cheaper to begin selling a homeopathic remedy.

Because they’re too cheap and you can’t patent them! If they can’t charge outragious fees on a patented drug, why would they waste their time and money making pennies on the dollar for the research they’d have to pay for?

I have been recommended homeopathic tablets for my baby’s colic, but I am unsure how to give them to her – will she choke on the tablets or can I dilute them and give them to her in liquid format?

She is four weeks old.

Where can a homeopathic doctor legally practice homeopathy in usa? how to get a license to practice homeopathy in usa? My brother’s wife is a a Homeopathic doctor in India and she’ll be moving up here in a year. What additional steps does she have to go through to practice here? Does she have to go to school again?
