Choose to eat foods that are healthier and in smaller portions. But, your healthy foods must be cooked with health in mind also. It means making small changes and staying committed to them.
In a grocery store you will have to stay away from the aisles that contain processed foods. Instead, you will spend more time in the produce section and in the aisles that contain foods that are called complex carbohydrates. Such foods are the fuel your body needs to supply it with energy and help it function accordingly.
Exercise is the other thing your body also needs. Without it, you’ll just end up with flabby arms and legs on the outside, and on the inside, a body that is not functioning properly. So, choose an exercise routine that you like, because this is the only way that you’ll be able to stay committed to it. For example, if you like skating, you can skate year-round either with ice skates or on roller blades. Just stay committed.
Light weights to tone your body is also a good option to burning fat. This will require many repetitions and sets of each exercise to achieve your goals. Because you are using light weights, it’s not hard on the body, and it can make all the difference. You’ll find that as time passes, the fat will be replaced by muscle.
Lifting weights can help you in two different ways. They burn fat not only while you exercise, but even after you have finished with your routine. And, they helped to develop muscles. It’s a great way to shed fat from your body which can cause you great dangers to your health. For example, being obese or even having belly fat means that you are more at risk of developing a life-threatening conditions. So do your best to reach your optimum weight and by working on building your core strength.

Not sure if you read my post, I agreed that a ketogenic diet is a great way to lose fat. According to a Standford University Study, Atkins did actually have the greatest amount of weight loss than other diets over a 12 month period. I even said that a keto diet is a great way to lean out.

Oh, something else I have occasionally heard is that when we are losing fat, we are also releasing some toxins that are stored in the fat in our bodies and that can affect us by some crappy physical feelings. So that might be another potential cause.
I know it all has to be frustrating! Hang in there!
The meditation thing sounds like a good idea, perhaps that will help with the sleep as well.
