The HCG diet is one of the most revolutionary diets you will ever find, not because it is radically different from other diets, in fact it is no different from others. What makes it different is the rate it proposes to eliminate excess weight off you without demanding that you engage in any form of programmed exercise. The nearest thing to a programmed exercise that it demands from you is at least an hour of slow paced and steadily walking. Not having to engage in exercise, although many will find it convenient for their hectic lifestyles does, not make the HCG weight loss program less difficult. There is the diet to consider, a very low calorie diet not a few may find extreme and even dangerous. The HCG diet is a 500 calorie a day diet designed for the purpose of activating the powers of the absorbed HCG hormone to change your bodily metabolism. Aside from improving the fat burning efficiency of your body, it also serves several very important functions: (1) lessen your hunger fangs when the diet takes over, (2) ensure you are not taking more calories too much for your body to burn, (3) detoxify your body of accumulated body waste.
The diet is made up mostly of protein and fiber rich foods and lots of liquids for better muscle building and detoxification. The original diet recipe contained in the book “Pounds and Inches” by Dr. Simeons, the founder of the HCVG weight loss program, rather limits foods allowed to a few. Lean meats, vegetables, fruits and certain types of seafood will be your main everyday fare. Fats, starches and sugars (organic substitutes for sugar is allowed) are absolutely off the grocery list. This diet is hell for everybody used to eating large meals loaded with great amounts of calories. Fighting off the temptation to cheat will be a source of constant of discomfort.
The HCG diet is not for everybody, although with its supposed ability to eliminate excess weight at a rate of 1 to 2 pounds a day, everybody will probably try it. Difficult or not as long as you thoroughly prepare yourself for it, there is always a good chance you will succeed.
