Healing Naturally

Many people are searching for an alternative way to heal instead of using doctors or pharmaceutical drugs. They are looking because of several reasons. The two most common reasons are the diverse side effects of the drugs and the rising health care costs.

Several individuals have found the power of healing through aromatherapy. helps the body heal in its own natural way with triggering it through scents. These scents come from .

Essential oils come from plants being distilled and gathering the concentrated oil. Oils can be extracted from the whole plant or just the leaves or flowers. Each oil has it own uses and properties.

There are a few different ways to apply the oils for healing. The oils can be diffused into the air or ingested into the body. The oil can also be combined with oil carriers or lotions to be massaged into the skin. The oil can also be massaged into the skin just using the concentrated oil.

There are literally hundreds of essential oils out in the world. Each and every essential oil has its own uses and abilities. Because it would be too lengthy to write about each one, this article will talk about three oils: lavender, lemon, and ylang ylang.

Lavender oil is such an all-purpose oil. It is extracted from the flower of the lavender plant. Its scent has such calming effects. Lavender is a great sleeping aid. Putting one or two drops on a pillow will help calm the nervous and relax the mind.

Lemon oil comes from the lemon tree’s flowers or leaves. Lemon oil is cleansing both physically and mentally. It is able to relieve headaches and fight acne.

Ylang ylang oil is said to be a cheaper substitute to jasmine oil. Ylang ylang oil is used as an aphrodisiac to calm impotence and frigidity. The flowers of ylang ylang are spread on the beds of newly married couples in India.

Hi Elizabeth. We’ve recently published a book on soap making and the author has recommended your site, Gracefruit, as a good place to go for soap making supplies. Wondered if there was any chance you’d be able to mention the book on your blog. You can see the book here: Happy to send you a sample in the post if you’d like to do a review.
