Lemon Balm: Promotes sleep. You can make tea out of either hops and lemon balm and enjoy with honey right before bed or for a stronger sleep aid try the following.

Make an infusion of 1 teaspoon each of dried herb lemon balm, hops, marjoram, and crushed aniseed with 1 pint of boiling water, add 1 teaspoon of honey and drink right before going to bed.

Rooibos: Tea promotes sleep and eases pain from inflammation. This herb contains at least thirty-seven antioxidants, minerals, vitamin C, and alpha-hydroxy acids.

CAUTIONS: Avoid Rooibos tea (and black tea) if you have an iron deficiency as it may interfere with iron absorption.

Oat straw: Soothes and nourishes the nervous system. Make an infusion and drink throughout the day to ease nervous tension and promote sleep at night.

Herbs for Stress

Ashwaganda: tinctures and capsules are used to fight fatigue during prolonged periods of tension.

Catnip: is used as a tea to relax and soothe the nerves especially of the digestive system.

Cats Claw: Tincture or capsules used for soothing the nervous system during high tension and anxiety.

Reishi: powders and extracts restores emotional balance.

Schisandra: Used for headache, insomnia dizziness & palpitations.

Siberian Ginseng: reduces effects of stress, increases stamina and concentration. Helping the body adapt to the stressful situation.

This herbs need to be taken as directed and always consult your physician before taking any of this herbs especially if you are taking other medication.
