Pros | Powerful Ear Wax Removal Home Remedy
Using a home remedy to cure an ailment is not for the faint hearted. You are using a method to treat a problem that has not been tested and guaranteed by the FDA or any other association. Surprisingly, home remedies are often more effective and more cost effective than the over the counter medications that you may end up spending an arm and a leg on. Often times, although these remedies have not been tested, you have seen then work on others in the past and this social verification is enough to give you the faith to try out a home remedy to cure your ailment. One popular ailment, that people commonly use home remedies to cure is ear wax buildup.
As the years have moved on, there have been a multitude of natural cures and home remedies that get passed from one generation to the next. Those that work and deliver the results that are desired, have withstood the test of time and will continue to be passed along to future generations. One of these home remedies that works and has been passed along is an ear wax removal home remedy that has been proven time and time again.
As you may already know, wax in the ear accumulates in the ear canal. This build up of earwax can be extremely difficult to remove. Ear wax actually has a beneficial function in normal every day work of the body. The body uses this wax to protect our ear drums from dust, dirt, bugs and bacteria that may try to infiltrate. The wax then naturally is pushed out of the ear to make room for the new ear wax that is being produced. In a perfect world, this wax would then be gently wiped away from the outer ear and no problems would occur but sometimes in an effort to clean the wax away, we actually end up doing damage because the wax gets pushed back down into the ear canal. As the wax re-enters the ear, this can cause excess build up that can lead to many symptoms such as hearing loss, discomfort and even ringing in the ear. Over time, this build up gets thicker and harder and can be very tough to clear away.
One home remedy for the removal of a buildup of ear wax that I recommend, is the use of mineral oil.
Here is a run down of this method:
1. The mineral oil is warmed, and then you lie down and apply a few drops into the ear canal. The mineral oil will help to soften and loosen the build up of wax.
2. Give it a few minutes to work, and keep your head tilted to allow gravity to assist in draining it through your canal.
3. Flush out the remaining wax which has been softened up using a few drops of water.
It may take a few times over the course of a few days, but it will work!
Another ear wax removal home remedy that I like is to use a hot water bottle. The idea behind this method is to allow the heat from the hot water bottle to melt the wax so that it can be drained out of the ear.
Are you sick of dealing with all of this ear wax?
