Arthritis Knee Pain is Waking Me Up?

The other night I woke up hollering because of a sharp pain in my knee and down my leg. It was terrible. The doctor tells me I have arthritis and has given me Naprelan 375mg (2 – at bedtime). Anyone else experience pain bad enough to wake you and if so what have you done to help find relief?
