Which essential oils are good to use for PMS and the menstrual cycle?
Question by Sands: Which essential oils are good to use for PMS and the menstrual cycle?
I’m interested in minimizing the discomfort felt monthly using essential oils and other non medicinal methods and products. I would like to know what are the best oils for this purpose. Constructive, polite, serious answers only please. No recommendations for illegal substances.

Well, the most popular natural products for hormone support would be Dong Quai, Black Cohosh, Vitex (also called Chasteberry), Wild Yam, Damiana Leaf, Motherwort, GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid, commonly in Borage Oil and Evening Primrose Oil), and some Soy germ products.
Good luck!

Aida @ 12:58 pm:
I’m not so sure about what essential oils are the best, but I do know other non medical methods.
For instance, Red Raspberry Leaf tea, mix it with stuff if you don’t like the tea, but it works amazingly, helping with cramps and bloating and stuff, I’ve sworn on it for a long time, and my mother always used it too.
Other teas that can help include chamomile, catnip, and lavender, for more common ones.
