Question by tetrisplayinghippie: What essential oils take the redness out of irritated pimples?
Hey there! I have had a nasty bout of pimples on my chin recently. In fact, I’ve had the same red, nasty pimples for way over a month now. Finally i popped them and now they are perpetually red and irritated.
I have tons of essential oils so which ones most effectively will heal this and take the redness away??
Also, what teas will take the redness away?

Essence of Wellbeing @ 7:54 pm:
Tea tree is one of the best essential oils for acne, pimples or spots.
One of the best ways to use is to add the essential oil to a bath, as it will help clean and disinfect the skin as well as disinfect it . For an adult bath, add 4-8 drops of essential oil just before you get in and swish this around very well. Essential oils do not dissolve readily in water but will disperse if well mixed. Do not prepare the bath in advance as much of the volatile oil will be lost. Dont be tempted to add more oil, even if the amount looks tiny. Essential oils are very concentrated and the number of drops suggested is more than sufficient
Allow plenty of time for a relaxing soak for at least 10 minutes, or up to 20 minutes if you can! Some of the oil will adhere to the skin and some will be inhaled as an aromatic vapour
You can also use a dispersant to help the essential to mix with the water. You can use a tablespoon of a carrier oil, such as grapeseed, sweet almond or apricot. This is very useful for dry skin. Alternatively you can use full cream milk (not low fat or skimmed) or cream. Mix the essential oil in the dispersant and then add to the bath.
You could also try putting three to four drops of tea tree essential oil in warm water, lean over it with a towel overhead, as a steam facial for ten to fifteen minutes once a week will assist with skin problems.

Try using Visine redness relief eyedrops.
Or any eyedrops that get rid of redness
