Hcg Injections Questions Answered

HcG Injections?
I am considering HcG injections just for these last few stubborn pounds (brochure reads 1 pound per day) -I’m looking for results from anyone who has taken these injections before because they are pricey- just want to know if you got the results you expected- did you lose weight? did you get pregnant? were there any side effects? if so what were they? how long and how often did you take the shots and where were they administered on your body? how much did they cost? what was the total amount of weight that you lost? did you change your diet and exercise routine and/or add a diet and exercise routine to boot the efforts of the injections. any info on real experiences only is greatly appreciated. Thank you- for anyone reading this question wondering what an HcG injection is – please look it up on google just type in HcG injection and you should get your info thanks!!

Oh yeah. It’s pricey. And also, it’s not worth it.! If you only have a few stubborn pounts, working it off the old fashioned way is better. WHO NEEDS UNNATURAL WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT.? It’s a dumb idea, please don’t do itttt.!

When were you told to stop taking HCG injections and/or progesterone?
I am almost 10 weeks pregnant. I am on HCG injections twice a week to protect the pregnancy as I have a history of miscarriage. I also use progesterone pessaries daily for the same reason.
Has anyone out there also been on these prescriptions and if so when did they tell you to stop taking them?

I took prometrium until I hit 16 weeks. By then, the placenta has fully taken over the progesterone.

Will hCG injections turn you into an fertilized ovum?
There is this new craze… to get hCG injections to lose weight.
It seems that if you take too much, you will regress into a fertilized ovum and then where would you be? Of course you would weigh one heck of a lot less than before.
Any comments on that?
No more stupid than this diet plan itself.
I think it is dangerous.

I believe the hcg diet is a total scam as much as I believe in my other paradigms.
But this is really a stupid question.

Do HCG Injections increase the chance of twins?
I’m taking Hcg injections for weight loss (Please spare me the abuse about that) and the doctor said it can cause an increased probobility of having multipiles. Anyone every heard of this? Has it happened to you? Any information would be great!

Have never heard of that before. HCG is just a hormone, not a fertility drug.

Are HCG injections safe when used for fertility reasons?
I am going to start a round of clomid and the doctor wants me to have a HCG injection after I have ovulated. Is this safe and effective?

As with Clomid, HcG has a high rate of success in stimulating women to ovulate. Of those who ovulate, as many as 50% are able to get pregnant.
While it is generally considered safe there are always potential risks with medicines.
Notify your doctor if you experience
headache;
irritability;
restlessness;
depression;
fatigue;
fluid retention (edema);
breast tenderness or swelling;
pain, swelling, or irritation at the injection site;
early or premature puberty.
Treatment with HCG increases the likelihood of multiple births. Multiple births carry additional risk both for the mother and for the babies.
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
