Well I don't know about him but I will tell you that losing weight dramatically quickly can be dangerous. People fail to realize that our bodies still need a certain amount of fat for stored energy during times we must skip a meal or for whatever reason cannot eat. My personal experience is becoming more active(on a regular basis) and eating less or smaller portions. In September I began working for the Post officeand in about 4-6 weeks I had lost 20 pounds and wen tfrom a size 14 jeans to a 10. The success to losing weight is to burn more calories thatn what you take in. Gluttony is #1 cause of weight gain. Our meal proportions are way bigger than they need to be because we tend to eat because food tastes good. I also try meal alternatives. Why eat a full course meal that will take hours to digest and slow you down because you system is overworking to digest it, when you can have a smoothie(not made with yogur or cow's milk) that's deliciously sweet and filled with nutrients you need. Don't be afraid to substitue a full course meal for a bowl of honey shredded wheat cereal, or Crispix etc. And stay AWAY from DAIRY products. Trad in cow's milk for Silk soy milk. It's high in protein to build muscles. Cow's milk is high in fat content. However, it is a big money maker so it's not marketed as such. Yougurt is NOT a good snack to eat when trying to lose weight since it's dairy and again high in fat content(regardless of what the label says). Eat more salads with chick peas to add protein and limit starch intake. Eat smaller proportions of starchy foods. And last but not least your lightest meal of the day should be dinner and breakfast should be the heaviest since that's the meal that will carry you through the day. We tend to do that one backwards. Laying down or relaxing on a heavy meal makes for a sluggish, overworked digestive system which raises blood pressure and overworks the heart. And remember, eat to live not live to eat.
