IMHO Buddhism is alright. I don’t think nirvana and rebirth exists obviously. But a religion that teaches you self improvement and to not harm anyone or anything is OK with me. I think that taking just that aspect from Buddhism would make a lot of people much happier.

In the movie "White man can't Jump" the line was:
Sometimes when you win, you really lose, and sometimes when you lose, you really win, and sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs.
Good luck
