What Is The Hcg Diet?

Share

The is a plan developed originally in the 1950s by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, a British endocrinologist who did extensive research in India and while working in a medical center in Italy. The doctor’s research found that combining a strict low calorie diet with human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG, resulted in effective diet that targeted excess fat in the body rather than other tissues that should not be dieted away.

hCG is a hormone that develops in pregnant women early in the pregnancy to ensure that the body generates plenty of progesterone, which in turn enriches the uterus – providing nourishment for the growing foetus. Today the hCG that is used in the diet program is manufactured from organic materials in sterile lab conditions. ’ diet plan has become an international success since his original publication of the hCG protocol over forty years ago.

The diet component of this protocol calls for an intake of 500 calories per day, drawn from specific foods as specified by Dr. Simeons. One hundred grams of protein to be eaten twice a day; two servings of vegetables drawn from specific choices as defined in the protocol, a limited amount of salad and a handful of berries or a small apple constitute the daily food intake.

The diet is accompanied by a daily intake of hCG, which contributes two elements to the diet. One is that it targets the excessive fat cells built up in the body rather than fat cells that are appropriate and any muscle tissue. The other effect of hCG is to supplement the nutritional intake with the consumption of fat cells which provide further nutrition and help to keep hunger or weakness at bay.

hCG diets today have been supplemented by a number of additions to Dr. Simeons’ original text. There is an hCG gourmet cookbook that maximizes the allowed use of spices, fresh lemon and a few other flavorings that are allowed in the protocol. While the diet itself is fairly effective in keeping hunger away, the limits to acceptable foods can make the procedure boring. The gourmet cookbook can keep these limited meals interesting.

The hCG Guide explains the procedures to be followed; the diet calls for a six week period of actively following the protocol followed by three weeks off. The cycle can begin again, and may be continued until completing the desired weight loss. You can obtain more hCG diet information and begin this remarkably effective diet today simply by downloading the two manuals that describe the diet protocol and provide a great collection of .

kalotina @ 2:24 am:

I've started the HCG diet but not getting the results that I read others got.
Following the diet , no cheating at all. The last 3 days I even cut out veggies and fruit. Only eat 3.5 oz of protein a day with a little mustard. I would like some advice if anyone is familiar with this diet. Also are the injections better then the drops? I do the drops. I'm also working out twice a week. Help Please.

I agree – I looked into this before ordering injectable hCG from a clinic because of all the questions on oral hCG. However, I was just reading this article:

And it sounds like even clinics that prescribe injectible hCG may be getting sub-standard product IF they are recommending supplements to go along with it?

Do you have any info on this?
