Hcg Diets Follow Directions For Success
The fact is that HCG diets only work to the extent that you do. This means following Dr. Simeons’ protocols carefully, making the right food choices and taking your HCG drops according to the directions. Do this, and you’ll find the HCG program to be a highly effective weight loss method.
Have a Wild Party!
Before you begin on your 20 or 40-day program of eating a mere 500 calories a day (equivalent to a single cheeseburger or a handful of nuts), you are going to treat yourself to some wild indulgence in all the fat-laden food you can possibly eat. This binge will continue for two days. Considering that the 500-calorie diet must consist of nothing but lean meats and fresh, plain vegetables that are raised organically, and plain, black organic coffee and various teas, this binge is a welcome chance to indulge.
However… The purpose is not to give you a last chance to “boogie down” (from a dietary perspective, at least) before you cut your calories to the bare minimum, but rather to speed up your metabolic rate in preparation for the next step.
Time for Self-Denial
I’ll be frank with you: The first two days on the HCG diet can be challenging. After having binged on all your favorite fatty foods, you are suddenly eliminating all fat from your life (not just your diet ” more on this later). You can have a small chicken breast (baked or broiled, not fried) and a vegetable (cucumber, tomato, celery) for lunch and a bit of fish or lean (and I mean lean) beef and another vegetable for dinner. Breakfast is organic coffee or tea ” nothing more.
You are going to feel genuine hunger for a day or two. However, be the second day, the HCG will kick in (provided you’ve been taking it according to the directions). Your system will be flooded with nutrient-rich adipose fat, which will keep your metabolism going while eliminating much of the feelings of hunger. Plus, you’ll be watching those pounds disappear, which should motivate you further.
Keep in Mind…
If your body has a choice, it will obtain needed fat from any other source ” including skin cream and soap. Avoid such products that contain vegetable fat while on the HCG diet.
And if it seems difficult at times, remember ” it’s only for forty days. After this period, however, you must stop taking HCG, lest your body start to build up a tolerance to it.
