In order to keep the body alive, the hypothalamus will hold on to fat stores for as long as possible, since this is where most usable energy is stored.

Why Strenuous Exercise is Not Recommended

Now, mild to moderate exercise is no bad thing ” but exercising to the point that you are out of breath and straining can actually sabotage dieting efforts, particularly when on the HCG plan.

The reason is this: when your heart and respiration rate pass a certain point, your hypothalamus redoubles its efforts to hang on to fat reserves. Consider that in nature, activities such as fast sprinting are associated with either chasing meat on the hoof or fleeing danger. Neither of these situations would normally happen on a daily basis, and if the part of your brain that controls your metabolism perceives it as such, it will work even harder to conserve energy resources ” in the form of fat.

There is an easy way to tell if you are exercising at an optimum level while on the HCG : if you can carry on a normal conversation with someone during the activity, you’re “in the zone” at which fat burning occurs.

I have taken the HCG diet quest. I ended up losing 26 pounds! I was wondering if anyone has heard any risks about doing this diet, and having Multiple Sclerois? Like I said I have completed this diet 3 weeks ago…and I was not experiencing any difficulties, or symptom changes. I have discussed with my Dr. about the diet and HCG but he said he is not familiar with the diet, and does not have any comments, or anything…bout using or not using this diet! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
