How To Lose Belly Fat: 3 Super Easy Tips To Melt That Belly Fat Fast

If you are reading this, you probably carry some excess weight on your body, especially in the belly area. Being overweight, and especially storing a lot of fat around your waist, is dangerous to your health, so it really needs to go quickly!

What you need to realize is that there are no shortcuts to losing body fat. Today’s society wants everything right now. Many products advertised today offer “quick lose weight” solutions in a can or magic powder, but is the weight going to stay off? Sadly, usually not. People who choose to lose weight by these extreme methods will usually quickly gain back the pounds they lost, and even add some more weight on top of that.

To really lose weight for good, and keep it off forever, you need to make some radical changes to your and lifestyle.

1. The first and most important factor is your diet. There is so much information – and misinformation out there – about what we should be eating, and what we should be avoiding, that it’s no wonder most people are confused about what to do. I’m going to keep it simple for you. For optimum weight, and health, you should be eating mostly fresh, raw plant foods – that includes lots of fruits, vegetables and greens. Make salads, drink green smoothies (smoothies made from sweet fruits and greens, such as spinach, kale, and other), steam some vegetables, or make a vegetable soup. Consume at least 70% (or even more) of your calories from these sources and you will notice magical results! Your unwanted pounds will begin to melt away and your chronic health problems will begin to disappear one by one.

2. The second important factor is drinking lots of water to keep your body hydrated and remove toxins. I’m sure you heard this one before, too. But are you already doing it? Limit or stop drinking those sodas, energy drinks, artificial juices, coffee, tea, milk, etc. and replace them with water.

3. And last but not least is – you guessed it – exercise. And I’m not just talking about doing abdominal crunches – or any other exercise routine to spot-reduce your . This will not work, because even if you get a beautifully ripped six pack – it will not be visible under the fat you have on your belly. To really burn off a lot of you need to do full body workouts instead of wasting your time doing endless crunches on a gym machine.

My rage trigger word is “summer” at the gym. Every spring, all the fitness instructors start saying nonsense like “It’s almost summer! You don’t want your cottage cheese thighs showing in shorts, right?” or “It’s almost summer! Time to get your arms ready for tank top season!” STFU. I don’t have cottage cheese thighs, or flabby arms, but even if I did, I wouldn’t want to be reminded of them. I go to the gym to maintain my health, not for vanity reasons. I just signed up for a medicine ball class, thinking it would be a little more strength oriented, but the whole time, the personal trainer leading the class was talking about weight loss. I don’t care about weight loss—I could stand to lose 10 or 20 lbs, but I’m not too worried about it—-I signed up for the class to get strong because I’m doing a freaking 10-mile adventure race with obstacles. I hate when people assume the only motivation women have is based on vanity.

Try reading "Fat is a Feminist Issue" to see why you might want to hold on to your weight, or what might be positive about weighing more.

Also, Weight Watchers is great, and you might try that. If there's no meeting near you, you can do it online, but the meetings tend to address these things.

Good luck!

Okay, well, the vegan argument tossed aside for a moment: Your deficit is not enough to make you feel full. Ergo, you are eating the wrong foods. You need to eat foods that make you feel full, so that your deficit number is to the point of satiety. Your 2200 calories is probably a bit above your BMR. You’re going to have to cut down your caloric intake to lose weight. 80% of weight loss is that. If you’re not getting full off of what you are eating, then you’re not eating the right stuff.
