What Causes Gout

Benjamin Franklin included many gout remedies in the writing he produced in his later years. Franklin loved strong drink and red meat. He probably suffered from osteoarthritis rather than gout, however. Gout is a form of arthritis that occurs in the toes, hips, and other joints. This type of arthritis develops when the body converts too much uric acid into uric crystals. The body normally expels this acid through the urination process.

Dietary changes can alleviate gout symptoms also. Drinking a lot of water helps the body remove uric acid from the bloodstream. Dairy products, black cherry juice, and blueberries can also remove urate crystals from the body and uric acid from the bloodstream. Excessive vitamin C consumption elevates the levels of uric acid in and can contribute to the development of a gout toe.

Most doctors will use prescription medicines as the treatment for gout. A medicine called colchicine will help reduce inflammation, swelling and pain caused by sudden gout attacks. The medicine works by decreasing the uric acid crystals built up in the joint. However, the medicine does not reduce the levels of uric acid in the blood stream. Most often the pain usually goes away in about twelve hours of starting the treatment for gout, and is completely relieved by 48 hours. Taking the medicines colchicine, or allopurinol, usually prevents future attacks.

Purine rich foods are not the only factor that can contribute to a person developing gout. Obesity causes the body to produce more uric acid. Keep as close as possible to your ideal body weight to further reduce your risk.

What is Gout? Gout is the result of too much uric acid that builds up in the body over a period of time.
The uric acid forms very sharp crystals that cluster around the joints causing the pain, inflammation
and tenderness associated with gout. Since gout is caused by the formation of uric acid crystals
that the body does not get rid of you need to know about some factors that might cause gout.

There have been concerted efforts in recent times to harmonize natural herbs and plants extracts in order to get rid of the cause of gout, achieve instant relief and permanently cure gout. These efforts gave birth to Goutezol, a produxt now in the market. It is arguably the best cure for gout.

This is a major threat to the right to have alternative health choices and freedoms. We're one heart beat away from becoming a police state. We can not allow our natural supplements and nutrients to be under the supervision of the FDA.The FDA has NO RIGHT to POLICE healthy health choices! We alternative health advocates will revolt and win. These freedoms are bigger and more powerful than the FDA. Leave the rights of others who wish to go to their local health store alone. This is NOT the domain of the FDA and NEVER WILL BE!

Hello: I wish I can make my point in English, my main language is Spanish. I have read today many articles contradicting one another about the veracity of different views and opinions about alternative medicine products. I think that every individual if free to choose whatever product they understand could help them improve their quality of life with alternative medicine, because people are spending thousands of dollars on traditional medicine and see no improvement. I hear people say, oh! Dr. this or that has been my heart doctor for fifteen years and he is so gooooodddd!! If he is so good why are you still in a treatment? I know people in medical treatment for years, and they have no improvement, so…if alternative medicine does you no good, well,.at least you do not have the adverse side effects of pharmaceutical products,

Hi there! My name is Jessie and I work at W Magazine. For our most recent issue we published an in-depth interview with OB-GYN-turned-alternative-health-guru, Christiane Northrup. It's a really interesting, empowering, and frankly controversial article. I think you and your readers might be interested in how it relates to women's health. Here's a link to the article on our website…
