The Hcg Diet
The very popular HCG diet was researched and developed in the 1950s by Dr. A.T. W. Simeons. Thousands of people have successfully lost and kept off significant amounts of weight with the HCG diet.
The reason the HCG diet is so popular is that people lose weight quickly. Most people lose 20 to 30 pounds or more in 30 days just by following the HCG diet as written by Dr. Simeons.
HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is produced by the placenta in pregnancy. Its purpose is to make sure the fetus is fed from the mother’s excess fat stores in case there is not enough nutrition coming in to nourish the growing baby.
Dr. Simeons spent many years studying the connection between HCG and weight loss. He realized that the HCG triggered the hypothalamus to produce this release of nutrient-rich fat in pregnancy. From there, his research focused on translating that into a very specific diet protocol that would work strictly for weight loss.
He found that pairing HCG with a very low calorie diet of specific foods caused 3000 to 4000 calories a day in excess body fat to be quickly released, used, and eliminated. HCG gives the body the calories it needs every day from these fat stores. That’s what prevents hunger while eating only 500 calories a day on the diet.
On other low calorie diets without HCG the body goes into starvation mode to preserve excess fat stores. This of course has the opposite effect. The metabolism slows down, making it very hard to burn unwanted, abnormal fat. Instead, what’s burned first are muscle tissue and healthy fat, which is what causes fatigue and weakness on those diets. With HCG, the excess fat stores are used for energy, but the muscle tissue and healthy fat are not touched.
Skeptics of the HCG diet argue that anyone can lose weight eating just 500 calories a day. But they ignore the reality that HCG dieters have very little or no hunger the whole 23 to 60 days. They also ignore the fact that those who stick to the HCG diet see benefits that don’t happen with other weight loss plans:
A reshaping, or re-sculpting, of their body
Less binge eating
Much less need for emotional eating
Fewer cravings after the diet
A significant decrease in inches
A new “setpoint” weight that allows normal eating without gains
While the HCG diet is perfect for losing stubborn unwanted pounds, it is popular with dieters for many other reasons:
Exercise isn’t required, but light activity like walking or yoga is fine
No special, pre-made meals, no counting points
Much lower grocery bills
The metabolism is reset, which helps the weight stay off long term
No prescription needed for the HCG drops
Burns stubborn abnormal fat from thighs, hips, arms, belly and buttocks
Homeopathic oral HCG is very safe, effective, and inexpensive.
The HCG diet is the perfect way to lose anywhere from 15 to 500 pounds. It uses the body’s own resources for nourishment in a natural, healthy process that’s as old as the human body. Because HCG targets only excess fat, it works very well on problem areas where the stubborn fat stores are.
The HCG diet results are often dramatic, even more so with men. Unlike all other diets, those who use the HCG diet find it much easier to maintain their weight loss, which really makes it worth losing the weight in the first place!

All over the counter HCG products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011.
Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real HCG in them but most a similar synthetic hormone.
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The HCG acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for HCG is to increase fertility in both men and women.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
I was at the pharmacy yesterday. I looked at the HCG drops and it says right on the box, "Does not contain any hormone but contains an amino acid similar to HCG"
I can't believe that under current law they can still call it HCG Drops. Amazing!
Buy a pregnancy test and see if you got any HCG at all.
The positive reviews you read are written by profiteers and converts.
Staunch supporters of the diet treat it almost like a religion. "If you will just believe…"
The mental process occurring here is called "cognitive relativism" where HCG users assert their paradigm beliefs to the point where they deny facts, lack of evidence, legality, and true expert opinion.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone can't even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant.
Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO HCG in them that still lost weight.
By the way, insurance does not cover this since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn't want to get an "all cash" practice going?
