The Pros And Cons Of Permanent Make-Up
Although there are risks involved, permanent make-up is becoming a popular way to eliminate the need to apply make-up every day to the same area, only to remove it that night. Although the pros and cons of permanent make-up will make some people interested, they may eliminate the possibility of having the procedure done for others. Permanent make-up is a tattoo that is applied in areas such as the lips and eyes to mimic cosmetics applied to those areas. It is ideal for people who feel they are unable to apply make-up properly, or feel they don’t have enough time to apply it properly. Allergies to cosmetics and those with oily skin that don’t seem to be able to keep make-up from smudging off will also find the permanent make-up offers a solution ot heir problems.
The most common uses of permanent make-up include eyeliner, filling sparse eyebrows, lip liner and full lip colour. Instead of spending money trying to find cosmetics that do what they claim they will do, like long-lasting lipstick and smudge-proof eyeliner, you can have permanent make-up applied that will look good for up to 4 years. Sun exposure, facial peels and anti-ageing creams can shorten the life expectancy of your permanent make-up, but with the proper care, you will have permanent make-up for a good few years.
The pigments used by reputable salons are made by a German company, Swiss Color, and provide the salon technician with the facility to mix colours to create a perfect match to your hair colour for eyebrows, or the ideal tone for lip colour. Sterile modules are used to produce the various effects possible with permanent make-up. A feathery stroke is used on eyebrows to create a subtle filling effect, where a more defined line is needed for lip liner and eyeliner.
If you decide that permanent make-up is the solution for you, you need to be aware that the initial effect may appear quite dark and painted on. Once the tattoo has healed, it may appear to fade – sometimes to the extent that you cannot see the colour anymore. The colour usually strengthens again after a few weeks, but salons will schedule a ‘touch-up’ session 5 to 7 weeks after the first procedure to ensure that the colour is correct.
Caring for your permanent make-up properly is vital to the longevity of the tattoo. You will be supplied with a healing ointment to apply to the area until the tattoo is completely healed. You will not be able to wear make-up on or around the tattooed area for at least a week, and should not rub the area vigorously when washing for the first month. The tattooed area will form a crust that must be allowed to fall off naturally – do not pick or scratch at it. Keep the area out of the sun, even once healed, as sun exposure fades the pigments. Permanent make-up on the lips, whether liner or full lip treatment, tends to make the lips very dry, and after 2 or 3 days, lips will peel.
You should not consider permanent make-up if you are allergic to pigmentation inks, if your skin forms scars or keloids easily, or if the skin is cracked, peeling or blistering when the procedure is scheduled. Permanent make-up can be extremely useful for physically or visually impaired people who are unable to apply make-up, helping them to improve their appearance and boosting their self-esteem. Is permanent make-up the solution for you? If you want the benefit of make-up that does not have to be applied every day, day after day, that enhances your appearance without the fuss, and lasts for several years, then yes, permanent make-up is for you.

Great Skin From The Inside Out… Turn your attention, just for a moment, from over-the-counter cosmetics and beauty treatments and consider the importance of overall health in retaining a healthy, glowing complexion. The Inside Out approach places a priority on proactive wellness to increase the effectiveness of topical skin care agents. The Legacy Immune Health Superfood special recipe of vitamins and minerals delivers what the body need to run at peak performance; produce healthy skin, hair, and nails; and boost metabolism. However, without water, vitamins and minerals are not carried throughout the body as well- so, make sure to drink plenty of water. If you enjoy coffee, caffeinated beverages, drink alcohol, smoke, or have an immune system compromised due to environmental factors you definitely owe it to yourself to go beyond nutrition for your overall health and Legacy Immune Health Superfood gives you the opportunity to Go Proactive For Your Wellness… or Beauty!

No questions, just wanted to offer kudos on Doing It Right. This is what social media marketing is / should be about- making a real connection with your customers and potential customers. Here and in the AMA thread you are having a real conversation, not having PR write your responses, and that’s the right way to go. I also saw in the AMA that one person had a lengthy, technical question about chemical compositions and your president responded in depth- that says a lot about who you are. I don’t use much (of anything) in the way of skin care products, but I will definitely be keeping you guys in mind when it’s time to order some suntan lotion soon
