How Your ENT Ailments Affect Your Relationships
It’s not your wife’s pesky voice that you hear incessantly drumming in your ears. Well, that too. But aside from your wife’s voice, there’s still the endless buzzing in your ears that only you can hear. When you hear a constant humming sound that doesn’t go away, you most probably have tinnitus. You are probably used to it by now but it’s still really irritating.
Curing tinnitus isn’t that simple, just ask those who suffer the same. There are Ear Nose Throat, or ENT, physicians would recommend operation for it. It may be your option, but there are those who will advise other potential cures.
But if you believe you can brush it off and it will just go away, you have a lot to learn. Go to your ENT doctor at once. They may not just be saving your wellness, but your relationship and senses also.
Say what?! It seems a far-fetched idea, I know. ENT doctors treat the physical malady and not the emotional and mental so you may have doubts that they can help you with your relationships. As ailments in ears, nose, and throat show on your face, people around you may mistake how you really feel about them.
A frown on your face may lead your kids to believe that you hate them. You may be merely having sinusitis, but really, an irritated look on the face isn’t a very welcoming sign that you like to spend time with them.
Your tinnitus may be responsible for the irritating noise that constantly troubles your auditory sense, but your wife may mistake that as an alibi to avoid talk with her.
Aside from the deterioration of your health, you are also placing your relationships in danger. How you behave towards your loved ones depends on how you physically feel. So it’s just smart to check with an ENT specialist first before conferring with a psychologist.
When you have health ailments you can’t fix with time and sleep, go check a doctor. Therefore, it only makes sense that when you have ailments or illnesses with your ears, nose, or throat, an ENT physician is the best person to help you.

&PS, as we found out when Casey nearly collapsed onstage, they do have a doctor standing by — an ear nose & throat doctor! So if that was what Pia needed, she was in good shape…

Like most people, I always used q-tips the wrong way because it gave me the feeling that I properly and thoroughly cleaned my ears. Long story short, I did this up to a few times every day and soon found that my ears were getting rather itchy. So I went to an ENT doctor to get them washed out with some kind of fluid. When I saw what had built up in my ears over the time (all I did with the q-tips was pushing it back further into the ear) I felt the urge to vomit: together with the fluid, the ear wax formed a black and yellowish sauce that came pouring out of my ears. That stuff smelt worse than death. So yeah, that’s why I don’t use q-tips anymore.
